Why the word "Jesus" is so powerful?

So why it is? I was just so *ucking drunk last night. And I've been so sad and lonely lately and I'm not even that religious but just ended up to, don't ask me why, meditating the word Jesus and it was a powerful experience for me. I just wanted to share it to entire world but there was nobody else to share it with. And actually still I want to do it. It just just suddenly blew me away. I think there is really something to this. So what do you think?

It's wonderful to have good understanding friends, but I think many only have a few. As we get older we can also loose our friends for many reasons and feel isolated. Sorry that you are feeling lonely and isolated, but sometimes it can bring us to going within our own heart where compassion and love can always be found. Jesus is known for compassion, forgiveness and understanding. I am not really "religious" but I find the energetics behind our experiences, spirituality, the energy embodied during times of awareness and presence very helpful in daily life.

I know I'm starting to be on the older side. Midlife crises perhaps? But there's also the other point: why is it that it helps if someone gets abducted, or if someone might get, let's say, spiritually infected by some entity that it's usually Jesus, not God you might want to call to? I don't even belong to any church any more. It's been so long time. I don't know, since 2013 when I resigned lutherian church. That's what we have here in finland btw. Guess I've been lost spiritually then? But that's why I actually created this thread? Have any one of you been touched by Jesus yourself and how it was for you?

And no, I'm not gonna spread the "word" or anything here. I'm just wondering the spirit that kinda told me everything is going to be alright. And that's how the spirit of Jesus felt like. Full of love.

Hi! Yes, in that post I wrote: "I've often thought that the reason behind the power in the name of "Jesus" is because it's a gigantic Egregore. With billions worshipping it and, it's age, it's likely the greatest Egregore in existence."

I guess if you believe in an 'Astral' or 'Emotional World' there really is a huge positive presence there that can be called "Jesus". It's possibly fueled by all the Christians and believers who think positively (and worship) about the deity or being, God if you will.

On top of that, Jesus might even be a real Being in a higher world, more than just an egregore, who actively intervenes in our human and spiritual worlds.

Those are my thoughts.

So I guess meditating on Jesus (or praying to It/Him) is like channeling the positive energies from a higher world. IDK, something like that.

I was 16 when i started experimenting with astral projection . Often it happened that instead of getting out of body i got stuck between in and out and thats when sleep paralysis demons or whatever some will call them appear . I read from somewhere that saying the word/name Jesus will scare them away . I tried it on several occasions and it always worked . After a while they stopped even showing up when i got stuck . Im not baptized and dont consider myself christian but it has made me wonder why it works .
Certainly that name carries authority in spiritual realm . Is it because the story of Jesus is true or because hundreds of millions have been directing their energy and positivity while praying to that name and even if Jesus did not exist they made him exist through these means ? No idea . Couple years ago i wanted to get baptized just to see if and how it will make me feel different spiritually. Still might do it someday if i stumble upon some church or congregation that feels right. Catholics seem a bit crooked. Orthodox seems a bit less corrupt. If i go through that experiment and get some life changing results i will let the forum know.

It has taken me a lifetime to understand that every human on this planet will be offered (at some point) the gift of faith; the majority will reject the offer. Some will start their own spiritual journey without accepting the divine gift of faith, and that is like wandering without a compass, seeking meaning and direction but lacking the certainty and assurance that faith provides. Accepting the gift of faith is the only way to become connected with this world, the universe and understand the divine. This gift is hardly ever offered while you are sitting in a church pew. It will arrive after a heavy night of drinking, maybe while your incarerated, or after a stressful or life-changing event. Once your recognize what is being offered, then you must follow up with action.

Thank you for all of those comments. It really is nice to have those who are alike. I've once reached that same feeling of love in a dream. That was I was in some spaceship where there were some very strange aliens who told me not to look at them at all. So that was first time I felt anything like that. That I felt like home. Where ever those are coming from, it does feel good. No matter if it's Jesus, or aliens, or nicely done meditation, it does feel like owning the planet.
