In Baron's read of the data, a cluster of searches on Utah officials and Timpanogos Regional Hospital staff also came from overseas, including Israel. ´Baron Coleman starts by eliminating things, and the first thing he eliminates is the gun. He does not believe Charlie Kirk was shot with a .30-06 from the roof of the Losee Center, and he explains why the same reasoning knocks out every other gunshot scenario too, including a lower-caliber round fired from a different position and the drone theory people keep floating. A drone, he points out, is still a gunshot, and it fails on the same evidence.

That evidence is physical and it is all on video. The necklace flips up into the neck. The microphone gets pulled over. The body goes forward instead of backward, which Coleman says he has never once seen in the enormous amount of shooting footage he watched while researching this. Something arriving with two or three thousand pounds of force does not get leaned into. Then there is the wound itself: a couple of inches of penetration and nothing coming out the other side. He puts that next to Thomas Matthew Crooks, killed at similar distance with a 300 Win Mag, where the round produced sixteen to eighteen inches of travel and multiple entry and exit wounds through the face, shoulder and torso.

Coleman walks through what should have happened next and did not. The shirt, the handheld microphone, the lapel mic, the clothing, the chair, the stand, the table, the tent, all of it was evidence the moment the SUV pulled away. Instead people moved chairs, pulled gear off the tent, poured out water, and stripped SD cards from cameras. Then the ground itself was dug out, roughly eight to ten inches of soil removed and replaced with concrete pavers, which means the scene can never be reconstructed and no one has given a reason. Coleman is an attorney, not a conspiracy hobbyist, and he is careful about what he claims, which makes his last line land harder: this is literally where the term cover-up comes from.´

"Baron Coleman runs Google Trends on the full name Tyler James Robinson and finds searches from before September 10: the Huntsville, Alabama market at 4 p.m. on September 9, the Washington, D.C. metro area at 11 a.m. the same day, and a strong signal inside the District of Columbia itself the night before Charlie Kirk was killed at Utah Valley University. He notes he had never seen the middle name James published anywhere before the arrest.
He explains why he looked in those two places first. After the Butler, Pennsylvania attempt on Donald Trump, the only places he could find searching Thomas Matthew Crooks before the shooting were Washington, D.C. and Huntsville, home to a major FBI facility.
