Adding this NIH study about Cellfood, an over the counter available health food supplement,

CELLFOOD™ induces apoptosis in human mesothelioma and colorectal cancer cells by modulating p53, c-myc and pAkt signaling pathways

    Quote Abstract

    Background

CELLFOOD™ (CF) is a nutraceutical non-addictive, non-invasive, and completely non-toxic unique proprietary colloidal-ionic formula. Little is known about its effect on cancer cells in solid tumors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect that CF has on different cancer cell lines and the mechanism by which the nutraceutical works.
    Methods

The effect of CF on HFF (normal fibroblasts), Met5A (mesothelium), MSTO-211H, NCI-2452, Ist-Mes1, MPP89, Ist-Mes2 (mesothelioma), M14 (melanoma), H1650, H1975 (lung cancer), SKRB3 (breast cancer), and HCT-116 (colorectal cancer) cell growth was tested by cell proliferation and clonogenic assay. Among all of them, MSTO-211 and HCT-116 were analyzed for cell cycle by flow cytometry and western blot.
    Results

All human cancer lines were suppressed on cell growth upon 1:200 CF treatment for 24 and 48 hours. Death was not observed in HFF and Met5A cell lines. Cell cycle analysis showed an increased sub-G1 with reduction of G1 in MSTO-211 and a cell cycle arrest of in G1 in HCT116. Activation of caspase-3 and cleavage of PARP confirmed an apoptotic death for both cell lines. Increased expression levels of p53, p21, and p27, downregulation of c-myc and Bcl-2, and inhibition of Akt activation were also found in CF-treated MSTO-211 and HCT-116 cells.
    Conclusions

These findings ascertained an interaction between p53, c-myc, p21, p27, Bcl-2, PI3K/Akt pathway, and CF-induced apoptosis in MSTO-211H and HCT-116 cells, suggesting that CF acts as an important regulator of cell growth in human cancer cell lines. CF could be a useful nutraceutical intervention for prevention in colon cancer and mesothelioma.
I had a bottle of this in my cupboard, but wasn't sure what prompted me to buy it! haha. The bottle says the brand has been around since 1969. I think I bought it a year ago because of the claims of it being a super oxygenizer when added to water.

For 75-year-old John Larson from Minnesota, his cancer disappeared after he started taking ivermectin. More than a year and a half after doctors at the renowned Mayo Clinic gave him only a few months to live, he is chopping wood for his son-in-law and hasn't felt this good in years.
    • Diagnosis: late-stage colon cancer with metastases
It began on February 10, 2025, just before midnight. Larson woke up with severe pain in his lower abdomen. He initially thought his previous hernia surgery was to blame, but after a CT scan, the reality turned out to be grimmer: late-stage colon cancer. A cyst had ruptured and spread cancer cells throughout his entire abdominal cavity. A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis on February 19. His treating physician gave him three to six months. On the advice of the surgeon who performed the biopsy—himself trained at the Mayo Clinic—Larson traveled to Rochester for a second opinion. Mayo reiterated the diagnosis and offered chemotherapy as the only option. The promise: perhaps six months to a year instead of three. Larson and his wife Linda politely declined and left.
    • The choice that changed everything
About ten days before the visit to Mayo, one of Larson’s daughters had already put him in touch with an alternative medicine practitioner: Dr. Jacqueline Wiermaa, former head of the pediatric oncology department at a hospital in Duluth. She had left the hospital during the coronavirus pandemic, dissatisfied with the imposed protocols, and had since been conducting intensive research into non-conventional treatment methods. After a phone call of twenty to thirty minutes, she wrote Larson a prescription for ivermectin: 50 milligrams a day. He started the course around March 10. Seven to eight days later, when he traveled to Mayo, he was at his weakest — he was losing weight, had hardly any energy, and a fist-sized swelling was visible around his side.
    • One month later: the swelling had disappeared
Around April 10, exactly one month after starting ivermectin, Larson was lying in bed and decided to feel the swelling. He could no longer find it. In addition, his energy levels began to rise and his appetite returned. On April 15, he visited Dr. Wiermaa in person. She was unable to locate the tumor either and added mebendazole to the treatment: initially 250 milligrams six days a week. Later, Larson also received laetrile — extracted from apricot kernels, also known as vitamin B17 — via a pharmacy in Mexico, because the drug is banned in the United States. The FDA classifies it as toxic. Larson survived.
    • Diet as a weapon against cancer
Alongside the medication, Larson radically changed his eating habits. His wife Linda had been trying to convince him to eat healthier for decades—now he finally listened. Based on the book Eat to Beat Disease by Dr. William Li, he built a diet around foods that activate five specific mechanisms to fight cancer: from immune boosting to cutting off blood supply to tumors. Soft drinks, ice cream, and pizza gave way to large daily salads, vegetables, fruit, and alkaline water with lemon and Celtic sea salt. His son convinced him of the theory that cancer does not thrive in a slightly alkaline environment — a pH of about 7.4.
    • What does science say?
For the time being, ivermectin is recognized solely as an antiparasitic drug. While laboratory studies do suggest that ivermectin can inhibit certain cancer cells, clinical evidence in humans is largely lacking — at least, that is what official bodies claim. At the same time, stories like Larson's are systematically removed from platforms like YouTube. The interview with former news reporter and internet personality Ivory Fritz is available exclusively here on Rumble. Mebendazole, a drug normally used against intestinal worms, is also being investigated for potential anti-cancer activity. Laetrile has a long history as a “controversial” cancer drug and has been banned in the US for decades — precisely the reason why it is becoming available via Mexico.
    • God, prayer and 60 grandchildren
Larson emphasizes that he does not attribute his healing solely to medication or diet. He is an active member of several Bible study groups and has twelve children and sixty grandchildren. Prayer sessions with dozens of believers were part of his approach from the very beginning. “The Lord could have used any of those things to heal me,” says Larson. “I don’t know what He used. I only know that I am still here.” He hasn't gone back for an official check-up with a doctor since then. The bills he already had were more than enough. He has felt cancer-free for over a year — and this fall he chopped twelve cubic meters of wood for his son-in-law, purely for fun.
