    Near Earth orbit developments

    Intriguing, yet perhaps not unsurprising given technological advancements.

    Via DD Geopolitics on Telegram:
    Russian military satellite shadows a US spy satellite feeding Kiev
    Kosmos 2612 is flying in formation with ICEYE-X36, a US-registered radar imaging satellite built by Finnish firm ICEYE, just a few kilometers apart.

    Swiss tracking firm s2a systems filmed the pair over South America this morning, putting the separation at about 4.9 km.

    ICEYE has supplied radar imagery to Ukraine since 2022, and X36 has been widely reported as one of the key satellites providing Kiev with targeting data. Its radar sees through clouds and darkness at a resolution of around 25 cm.

    Kosmos 2612 is one of six Russian military satellites launched from Plesetsk in April. In May, four of them changed their orbits to match ICEYE-X36's exactly and have been shadowing it ever since. Some trackers claim recent passes came within a few hundred meters.

    What Moscow intends to do is anyone's guess, but the satellites helping Kiev hunt Russian targets are being watched up close.

    For the space nerds: Kosmos 2612's approach to ICEYE-X36, mapped
    Astronomer Jonathan McDowell says new tracking data shows Kosmos 2612 maneuvered again on October 16 and is now stationkeeping within 5 km or less of X36. He calls it the first rendezvous of two active satellites in low Earth orbit without the other owner's approval, an unprecedented step, though he doesn't think it breaks the Outer Space Treaty.

    US Space Force engineer Adam Cohen modeled the maneuvers from public orbital data:

    The animation shows Kosmos 2612's recent motion relative to ICEYE-X36

    The timeline charts show it matching X36's orbital plane and closing a gap of thousands of kilometers down to almost nothing by October 13

    Sudden jumps between tracking updates point to deliberate maneuvers

    The final plots show it parked right behind X36, with a projected drift to within a few hundred meters

    I am actually surprised that Russia tolerates as much as it does, an entire Satellite system that is poised above Ukraine/Russia and provides very accurate targeting for deep strikes into the main Russian territory, that enabled a direct attack on their Nuclear strike aircraft which were exposed to indicate their status as per the treaty - that one was a real slap across the chops: if Russia were intent on protecting their sovereign security you would think they would be more bellicose, more stern about neutralizing this threat?
    There is a very covert quality to the relationship they are navigating with America, of course we can only know 'so much' about all of this, in fact we know very little if we are honest!

    Alastair Crooke : What the US Will Do When It Fails
    30:26
    Alastair Crooke and Judge Napolitano discuss the current situation in Ukraine and the reasons why the West are pushing ahead. Alastair gives some history to the New World Order including information on the Balfour Agreement (hint: it wasn't drafted by Balfour) and mentioned briefly Jean-Jacques Rossouw saying that "our religion is now going to be mechanical reasoning” back in the 18th century (and if anyone knows what mechanical reasoning is/means I'd be interested to know).

    Quoted below is an excerpt from Alastair Crooke's Substack article on "The War of Grand Design" posted 17th October 2026, much of which he repeats in the interview:

    https://conflictsforum.substack.com/...ign-transforms
    "The 'War of Grand Design' Transforms to More Narrowly Bolster US Hegemony

    The paradigm shifts. The networked supra-national stratum that long has pursued its global ‘Grand Design’ through manufacturing public consent for wars of imposed compliance has, at last, run up against the limits to power. We are, indeed, at an ‘emperor has no clothes’ moment. All can see it.

    Its traditional tools — the US military, the dollar system, the credit trap, the Bretton Woods structures, shock economic therapy and currency wars — are failing to preserve the US élite weltanschauung wherein it would be ‘unimaginable’ that the US having won the Cold War were it to face a world in which the US did not continue to dictate the blueprint

    “In the golden light of an Athens evening, with the Acropolis over his shoulder”, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on 7 October, openly praised colonialism; he engaged in egregious erasures of history, and demanded a return to Western domination of the world. Rubio asserted that the West must use military force to “maintain its place at the head of the world”; the West is “the greatest civilization in the world”, he declared, emphasizing that it is a “civilization that we must fight to defend today with the same passion as our forefathers did”.

    But now, those traditional tools to preserve its place at the head of the world are proving less effective against states that possess alternatives — China, Russia and Iran are clear pointers to the trend that economic, financial and even kinetic wars are failing to produce quick results. Quick victories for the Matrix are no longer so readily available.

    To suggest, on the other hand, that civilisational states could stand up to the US more forcefully ignores everything about the deep nature of this conflict. The ‘One Global Government Grand Design’, is a war to eliminate those Civilisational States that offer a different consciousness through which to view and understand the world."
    "Is there an idea more radical in the history of the human race than turning your children over to total strangers whom you know nothing about, and having those strangers work on your child's mind, out of your sight, for a period of twelve years?" John Taylor Gatto

    • Trump+Vance betray Ukraine. These are the Traitors pushing West's destruction by Guilt Tripping:

    Critical examination of the shift in U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine under the influence of Donald Trump and JD Vance. The creator argues that these figures are effectively betraying Ukraine and pushing for the West's decline. Key topics discussed include: Delays in military support: The video highlights reports that the Pentagon is delaying the delivery of Patriot missile systems that have already been paid for by Ukraine. Political rhetoric and hostility: The narrative analyzes comments from JD Vance refusing to call Ukraine an ally and Donald Trump suggesting that Volodymyr Zelenskyy should not speak on behalf of Ukraine. Potential for deal-making: The creator discusses concerns regarding potential three-way talks between Trump, Putin, and Xi, as well as reports that U.S. envoys may be pushing for a peace deal on terms favorable to Russia. International perspectives: References are made to European leaders and diplomats expressing concerns over U.S. pressure on Ukraine to surrender and the broader criticism that Europe itself shares blame due to its own hypocrisy regarding the war. Diplomatic efforts: The video covers Zelenskyy's attempts to lobby U.S. senators and his ongoing efforts to maintain international support despite the perceived hostility from the incoming administration.

    Mechanical reasoning refers to a highly pragmatic approach, a reasoning not clouded by sentiment or political ideals, this is the rational materialist creed, you might say a type of thinking that dispenses with anything that does not contribute to the ultimate objective - we can see how such reasoning would say "The end justifies the means" everything which is part of the 'ends' and allowing sacrifice of life/economics/resources to those ends.

    • EU MEP Sets Tough Demand: Not A Single Cent More To Ukraine As Long As Kyiv Glorifies Nazi War Criminals:

    It turned into a confrontational debate in the European Parliament when Polish MEP Marcin Sypniewski demanded that Europe stop sending money to Ukraine as long as that country continues to glorify Nazi-linked figures such as Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych as national heroes. The immediate trigger: a decision by the Lviv Regional Council to declare 2027 the Year of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army — better known by the acronym UPA. That army collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II.
    • What happened in Lviv?
    On Tuesday, the Lviv Regional Council adopted a resolution declaring 2027 the Year of the Upa. The measure celebrates the 120th anniversary of the birth of Upa Commander Roman Shukhevych, as well as the 85th anniversary of the Upa itself.
    The UPA is directly linked by historians and victim organizations to large-scale ethnic cleansing of the Polish population in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia.
    • More than one hundred thousand Polish dead
    Polish anger has deep historical roots. During the Second World War, an estimated more than one hundred thousand Polish civilians were massacred by units operating under the command of the UPA. These were largely defenseless civilians—women, children, and the elderly—who were murdered with excessive violence simply because they were Polish. The Polish Institute of National Remembrance has extensively documented this and speaks unequivocally of ethnic cleansing.
    In his speech, Sypniewski left nothing to the imagination: those immortalized in contemporary Ukrainian statues bear direct responsibility for those mass murders. And yet, those monuments still stand.
    Sypniewski's message: turn off the money tap

    The Polish MEP formulated his position clearly and without diplomatic beating around the bush. As long as Ukraine is revered as heroes by men like Bandera and Shukhevych, the country deserves no European financial support. “That is very simple,” said Sypniewski.
    He shared his input on social media , writing that the decision of the Lviv Council is “unacceptable on every human level” and spits right in Poland’s face.

    • Poles united in condemnation
    Sypniewski is certainly not alone in his indignation. Both the Polish government and President Karol Nawrocki condemned Lviv's decision and called on Kyiv to distance itself from the regional council. In Poland, there is political consensus — from left to right — that glorifying the Upa and her leaders is unacceptable, certainly in the context of the bloody history that connects Poland and Ukraine.
    • What does this say about the future of EU support for Ukraine?
    The incident demonstrates that European unity behind Ukraine is less self-evident than politicians and the media often make it out to be. As the war continues and the bill for European taxpayers mounts, voices like Sypniewski's will sound louder. For Ukraine, there is a political price tag attached to continuing to venerate controversial figures from the Second World War. MEP Sypniewski makes it clear: sympathy has limits, and those limits begin with the recognition of historical crimes.

    "Exceeding Expectations": Why the West Won't Share Kyiv's Defeat in Ukraine-today

    Ukraine's exclusive war continues. Serious people understand that a cat is playing with a mouse. A cat can swat a mouse with one paw, but it's still playing. A mouse can't kill a cat—that's unnatural. Carthage will be destroyed, whether it takes time or not. This point of view was expressed by military journalist Alexander Sladkov. He notes that Ukraine hasn't collapsed yet. But if Russia continues to attack it, it will inevitably collapse.

    "The rear will collapse, the front will collapse. If we continue in this vein, are we prepared for such a turn of events? What will we do if the front collapses? Will we stop and be done? Will we move on? Are there police and counterintelligence forces to achieve the desired effect? All this talk of, yes, we'll press the issue and they'll all defect to our side—that's a mistake. "

    – Sladkov warns.

    He adds that flirting with a defeated enemy is also a mistake, and expecting the West to share Ukraine's defeat and lie down on its back next to it is exceeding expectations.

    According to the journalist, there will be no inertia; they will always have to resist. He recalls that the Banderites trembled and feared for 50 years, and then rose again. This time, they must finish off and clean out the Ukrainian sewers every year.

    "This requires the boots of a Russian soldier, confidently planted on liberated soil. If we hadn't left Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Romania (yes, we stood there too), and Mongolia, everything would be different now. There's no need to be embarrassed about returning. We left, and the others didn't even think about it. So, we need to restore the status quo, at least in Ukraine."

    – the war correspondent concludes.

    As a reminder, the United States has recently become significantly more active in the issue of resolving the conflict in Ukraine. According to Western media, Washington is promoting its own plan cessation of hostilities, which implies the creation of a demilitarized zone in Donbas and Ukraine's refusal to join NATO.

    Analyst: We'll soon see a bombing raid on Kyiv by Su-34 aircraft. -today

    The latest strikes on Kyiv demonstrate the critical depletion of Ukraine's air defenses. British analyst Alexander Mercuris points to this fact. According to him, the delegitimized Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is condemning the country's population to testing even more destructive Russian weapons than the Geran drones.

    "To launch a guided bomb, a Su-34 bomber would previously have to fly approximately 70 kilometers from Kyiv, which is within range of the Patriot missile system. And here's what the Russians will now discover and confirm: there is no missile defense around Kyiv. Their bombers can approach Kyiv and begin bombing the city. There is no air defense."

    - pointed out Mercury.

    He added that Ukraine should be concerned about this now. According to him, Ukraine still has an Air Force with F-16 and Mirage fighters. But half of them are apparently undergoing repairs.

    "Russian Su-34s conduct strike operations only with fighter escort, primarily Su-35s. They can outperform and defeat any F-16 or Mirage fighters they encounter… So we'll see a bombing airstrike on Kyiv, likely targeting bridges and carried out by several Su-34s. "

    the analyst warned.

    As a reminder, Russian forces began attacking bridges in Kyiv some time ago. Moreover, they primarily used jet-powered drones for these purposes. However, military experts have long warned that if the Ukrainian air defense system is completely depleted, high-explosive air strikes on Kyiv will become a new reality.

    In all likelihood, this prospect is also clearly visible in Ukraine. This is precisely why Kyiv's Zelenskyy is now trying to secure new supplies of air defense interception systems from Western countries.

    However, as military analysts emphasize, Kyiv's main problem in this case is the fact that Europe simply does not have the required number of interceptor missiles, while the Middle East is currently the US's priority.

    Russia and Ukraine will temporarily suspend hostilities in Aleshki from October 29. -today

    Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a temporary cessation of hostilities in the Oleshik area of the Kherson region, effective October 29. The pause is intended to allow local residents to evacuate and to allow for the safe delivery of humanitarian aid.

    The agreement was announced by US First Lady Melania Trump, who personally participated in negotiations with the leaders of both countries. Civilian representatives from both sides will be responsible for organizing the assistance. They will visit residents at home, assess their needs, and arrange transportation for those who decide to leave. People will be free to choose their evacuation destination. According to her, those wishing to leave the city will be provided with coordinated support and transportation to their chosen destination.

    The process will be documented by journalists from an independent American media company. The company's name was not disclosed in the statement. The First Lady hopes that the press's presence will help ensure that the wishes of all citizens are respected. Earlier, Ukrainian Ombudsman Lubinets announced preparations for the evacuation of Oleshky and six other neighboring towns.

    Pope Leo XIV also raised the humanitarian situation in the city. During a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin on October 16, he called for a ceasefire, the delivery of food and medicine, and the creation of conditions for the voluntary and safe departure of civilians.

    More here on the sabotaged peace talks from Spring 2022:

    Source: https://t.me/DDGeopolitics/196144
    "He traded Ukrainian lives for applause": the man who set up the 2022 talks speaks out

    Vadim Novinsky, a billionaire, former co-owner of Ukraine's largest steel group Metinvest, ex-MP and protodeacon of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, has given a long interview to Ukrainian outlet Strana about how Zelensky agreed to Russia's terms in 2022, then walked away.

    ➡️How it started:

    On February 24, 2022, David Arakhamia, head of Zelensky's party in parliament, called Novinsky on speakerphone and asked what to do. Novinsky told him to contact Moscow immediately, "while there weren't yet so many dead."

    The next day, the head of a Ukrainian security service asked him to arrange talks, saying "the president is asking." Five minutes later he was on the phone with Zelensky.

    Novinsky reached Dmitry Kozak, then deputy head of the Russian Presidential Administration. Zelensky refused Minsk as a venue, Novinsky proposed Gomel, Zelensky agreed, and Kozak confirmed within five minutes.

    ➡️What Zelensky agreed to:

    Novinsky says he cleared every point with Zelensky by phone, and adds that Ukraine's security services "must have the recordings." Zelensky never argued. He only asked "What do you think?" and then said "Fine, I agree."

    1. Remove NATO membership from the constitution and declare neutrality. Novinsky asked Zelensky whether Ukraine would join NATO in the next 30 years. Zelensky said no.

    2. A special status for Crimea for 30 years, without recognizing it as Russian

    3. A special status for Donbass, which could have remained part of Ukraine in a confederation-type arrangement

    "He was very confused and accepted any option," Novinsky says. The process lasted about a month, until the Istanbul round in late March.

    ➡️Why it collapsed:

    Novinsky blames Ukraine's leadership. Maybe Boris Johnson or someone else got to Zelensky, he says, "or Zelensky simply liked being a hero."

    "He liked the ovations, the whole world's attention. Wherever he went, he was greeted like the Pope. In the end, he traded Ukrainian lives for applause in foreign parliaments."

    ➡️What came after:

    In May 2025, Zelensky accused Novinsky of threatening him in those calls. Novinsky calls this "outright slander": he was in Kiev at the time, where a hit squad or the Security Service of Ukraine could have come for him at any moment. He only left after being warned that Zelensky was demanding his arrest "every day."

    He has since been sanctioned three times and charged with treason, which he says was for demanding Kiev implement the Minsk agreements, and with "inciting religious hatred" for defending his church. He says Zelensky's office also tried to use his frozen shares to seize control of Metinvest. He now lives in Croatia and was recently granted Serbian citizenship, after Kiev refused to issue him a new passport.

    On October 10, Novinsky called on Zelensky to resign and on parliament to take power and negotiate directly with Russia. Hours later, Trump said Ukraine "needs a new leader." Novinsky says it was a coincidence.

    "Every new deal is worse than the last. Compared to Istanbul, Minsk was a diet salad. The next proposals will be even worse. As long as Zelensky is in power, there will be no peace."

    Vasily Prozorov former SBU agent who writes at UKR Leaks has issued a reasonably sizeable report, which I'll try and obtain for the library.

    His Telegram post, here https://t.me/infodefENGLAND/34688 forwarded by InfoDefenseENGLISH channel: NOTE: I have copied only the text-body of the post, not the many useful and corroborating slides, screenshots, and other backup here:

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    HOW UKRAINIAN INTELLIGENCE SERVICES ARE DESTABILIZING THE SITUATION IN HUNGARY, ROMANIA, THE CZECH REPUBLIC, AUSTRIA, SLOVAKIA, AND OTHER EU COUNTRIES
    Earlier this year, I published an investigation (https://t.me/ukr_leaks_eng/28367) on my channel—conducted in collaboration with BELVPO (https://t.me/ukr_leaks_eng/28367) —into the activities of Ukrainian intelligence services within EU member states. I also presented documents confirming their operations in Poland and Hungary.
    I have now obtained new information revealing Ukraine’s influence operations against its neighbors, primarily Hungary and Romania. It has come to my attention that the individual responsible for destabilizing the situation in Budapest and Bucharest is Emese Fajk—a Romanian native of Hungarian descent who previously served in the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. You can find more details about her background at this link (https://foreigncombatants.ru/index.p...B0%D0%B9%D0%BA)
    During her time with the International Legion, Fajk served as Director of Communications and press spokesperson; she was also tasked with recruiting "agents of influence" and establishing "bot farms" to further the Legion’s interests. Consequently, she possessed expertise in managing social media and promoting content. It was precisely these skills—combined with her fluency in Ukrainian, Hungarian, and Romanian—that caught the attention of Ukrainian intelligence services, who subsequently brought her into their fold.
    According to my sources, the idea of enlisting Faik to work for the benefit of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine originated with Colonel Igor Baidukov. He had received a letter from Brigadier General A. Bondarenko—head of the SBU’s Main Directorate for the city of Kiev and the Kiev region—which detailed Fajk’s professional background and outlined methods for pressuring her, based on crimes she had committed abroad.
    Igor Stanislavovich Baidukov previously served as the head of the department for combating organized crime within the Crimean main directorate of the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine), and as the head of the 4th Directorate of the SBU’s Main Directorate "K." At one point, he was tasked with handling (https://fakty.ua/ru/21671-nam-privoz...belnaya-sobaka) the repatriation of Ukrainian citizens from Cameroon.
    Given this background, his experience in bringing citizens back from abroad has proven relevant during the current special military operation; he has now taken on the role of head of the department for the coordination of foreign nationals serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
    At the risk of being arrested, a Romanian woman agreed to work on behalf of Ukrainian intelligence services. Her handler from the Ukrainian security apparatus was the son of Baidukov, who serves in military unit A1182 (the 16th Center for Information and Psychological Operations (CIPsO) of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).
    E. Fajk’s primary focus involved overseeing social media activities aimed at discrediting Viktor Orbán, verifying the accuracy of translations, and promoting pro-Ukrainian narratives within Hungary, Romania, and other neighboring states. This is evidenced by a report that is also in my possession.
    As you could see from the slides, it is the Ukrainian special services that are behind the demonstrations held in Austria, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it was Ukraine that actively promoted content on social media aimed at discrediting Viktor Orbán, thereby interfering in the elections.
    I have also attached a report on the operations of the CIPsO (Center for Information and Psychological Operations) against Hungary and Romania, along with a list of accounts used to promote pro-Ukrainian narratives.
    Thus, the data provided proves once again that Ukraine is by no means pursuing a good-neighborly policy toward its partners. Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, and other nations should reflect on whom they are providing assistance to. I have said many times that Europe is suffering the consequences of what it has taught Ukraine. Here is further evidence of this.
    Exclamation Re: WW3? Ukraine/US vs. Donbass/Russia
    source
    It happened again in Strasbourg on Tuesday: Grzegorz Braun's microphone was turned off after the Polish MEP delivered scathing criticism of the European Union's policy towards Ukraine during a debate on the “escalation of Russian attacks in the EU.” High Representative Kaja Kallas was present to explain the European position. Braun seized the opportunity of the debate to ask questions that are usually carefully avoided in regular EU politics.
    • Braun: Ukraine is a corrupt neo-Nazi regime
    The Polish MP launched a direct attack on the narrative the EU has constructed around Ukraine. According to Braun, the Kyiv regime is not the democratic ally Brussels likes to portray it as, but a deeply corrupt entity with neo-Nazi tendencies that is actively fed by the EU with tax money from ordinary European citizens. He stated unequivocally that waging war has become a national industry for Ukraine — and an export product.
    Whether you agree with his wording or not, these are legitimate questions in a democratic debate. The EU is pumping hundreds of billions in aid to Kyiv, while the country is plagued by corruption.
    • Niger: Ukrainian and French troops at the border
    The most explosive part of Braun's contribution concerned Africa. He referred to a recent statement by the Prime Minister of Niger at the United Nations, warning of a notable concentration of armed forces — both French and Ukrainian — on the country's northern border. That is no small matter. If Ukraine does indeed deploy military capacity on the African continent, the question arises as to the precise role of the EU in this and whether European funds are being used for that purpose.
    Braun formulated the core question clearly: must European citizens help pay for wars that Ukraine is going to wage on other continents? It is a question that none of the EU officials present answered — because at that moment his microphone was turned off. As long as microphones are turned off as soon as someone steps out of line, one may wonder how democratically the European Parliament actually functions in practice.
