I feel I have to share this personal story. (Forgive me!)

I once visited a Nestlé Ice Cream Factory, in my long-ago previous-life days as a consultant. The moment I arrived, the giant machine malfunctioned and spewed vast quantities of ice cream all over the floor until it was over a foot deep wall to wall. (I was quickly ushered out! )

Oh my gawd - the future looks bleak

This video brought back memories. I can almost smell the rubber still. During my senior year of high school, I worked third shift manufacturing oxygen masks for aviation and other silicone rubber products. I had few scars on my arms for awhile from accidentally touching the machinery.

Finding work wasn’t easy. I was limited not only by my age but also by my schedule, and I didn’t have a driver’s license. Fortunately, a position opened up at a textile mill that was within walking distance of both school and my apartment. When I went in for an interview, the manager was hesitant to hire me because I was still in school. I was so determined to prove myself that I offered to work for free for the first week to show him I was a hard worker. He hired me and got paid for that week.

Gee Whiz!?! That isn't anything like the TV advertisements for crunchy snacks, where people pop those snacks into their mouths and get a deeply satisfying feeling from the crunch sound that seems to bring a true sense of joy and energy and unites them all into a kind of crunchy-munchy brotherhood.

I think I am going to have to rewatch the video before bed to remind myself of how insipid the ingredients are and how uninspired their creation is, and the do some hypnotic induction and speak to that part of my subconscious that constantly reminds me about "the munchies."

What a great idea, although would be difficult if you needed more than one tin.
