I came across a promotional brochure with the intriguing title "The Voice of the Wise," in which the Reiki center "Caduceus" invites people to its seminars, promising to heal the physical body and the soul, and to impart knowledge of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th levels to those who achieve initiation — while everyone else gets the 1st and 2nd levels. What kind of knowledge? "New and cosmic in all areas of interest to humanity." The abundance of capital letters in fairly ordinary words makes a disheartening impression — presumably meant to symbolize an unprecedented breakthrough in knowledge, but looking rather childish.

It is probably worth reflecting a bit on all this "cosmic knowledge" — so that you don't get taken for a ride. Let's start with the name. "Interplanetary Independent Center of the Hierarchy of Light." They tried to make it as pompous as possible, but so that no one would understand what it was about. But I am someone knowledgeable in this field, and therefore I declare with full responsibility that no one at "Caduceus" has the faintest idea what light actually is in its essence (alas, our physicists, too, are only on the path to comprehending this phenomenon — it is not limited to the wave-particle duality of the so-called photon). And if the wise men of Reiki had even an approximate understanding of what light is, it would never have occurred to them to put "Hierarchy of Light" in their name. (Forgive me, but a hierarchy is, after all, a chain of command.) They would have been better off writing "hierarchy of radio waves" or "hierarchy of magnetic fields" — equally vague and incomprehensible to a naive mind untouched by knowledge, but at least not shocking to those who know.

No one will explain to you why the center is Interplanetary (so they found the most enlightened planet regarding this subject, even across several galaxies). They might at least clarify for us, the uninitiated, which specific galaxies entered into a coalition with us to create this center... And if the goal was to inflate their own importance, why not call it Interuniversal right away? What's so terrible about that? If one is to fabricate, one should fabricate on a grand scale — why hold back? Though, again, it's unclear how planet Earth could become the center of any kind of knowledge.

And independent from whom? From those who provide the knowledge? Or from those to whom this knowledge is being palmed off under the guise of great wisdom?

Oh, I'm afraid I'll be accused of smearing a worthy initiative and of blasphemy against a grand idea. What do they want to tell us in the advertising of the Reiki Center and "Caduceus," where, under the ominous heading "The Final Bell for Humanity!" the following was stated literally. (Parenthetical explanations are mine.)

"An Interplanetary Independent Coalition Council of the Hierarchy of Light — the Reiki Center 'Caduceus' — has been established on Earth." "The Center employs emissaries of the Supreme Cosmic Mind, possessing a high level of knowledge and having received initiation from the teachers of Shambhala. Shambhala is an oasis of Cosmic Culture on planet Earth, the dwelling place of the cosmic government."

(What a darling! It turns out the cosmic government resides on Earth. Only — whom and how does it govern in Cosmos... from Earth? And if this government governs us, the people of Earth, by means of the cosmos, then a huge thank you to it for the abundance of wars, hunger and prostitution, drug addiction and alcoholism, rising crime rates, and other "delights" that, under their governance, are acquiring truly cosmic proportions.)

"...and now, under the guidance of the Greatest Teachers of Eternity, our Center has begun to carry out the most important tasks entrusted to it."

(The Greatest Teachers of Eternity? It sounds beautiful, but if you think about it, beyond a veneer of flattery you won't understand a thing. As for the entrusted tasks — we'll come back to that, because explaining them to you in accessible terms is the very reason I sat down to write this article.)

"At present, the Cosmic Transition from one era to another is nearing completion. The process is lawful and irreversible: humanity must pass into a New Cosmic Era, a New Epoch of Evolution."

What follows is a tale of energy fire-streams in which, allegedly, our planet is increasingly being transmuted.

(It's hard to say what this could mean, since geologists are keeping awfully quiet about it) — and our atmosphere. (As for the atmosphere, apart from the ozone holes, there's no news either; but according to my information, this is one of those devils that isn't as scary as he's painted.)

These energy fire-streams, they say, are growing stronger literally day by day, and soon only those who have completed the "Caduceus" course of lectures, received initiation, karmic cleansing, and secret knowledge will be able to withstand them. We are assured that only those who have passed through SINCERE FULL REPENTANCE and LOVE will enter the new Evolutionary Era. Attending the courses, they say, can bring a person to a different level of consciousness, and this is necessary because soon... "Only those whose consciousness has been expanded and whose heart is open to the love of God will remain on Earth."

(And children? Is a small child capable of sincere full repentance for who-knows-what, so necessary for the transition into the new era? Can an infant expand its consciousness to the required degree? It seems there is no place at all for our children in the new era — they, one must assume, will be incinerated by the energy fire-streams.)

But all of this, frankly, made not the slightest impression on me, since no such energy fire-streams are "on the horizon." This is a fabricated danger; our organisms have a sufficiently large margin of safety and resilience. In any case, the recipe for salvation from incineration proposed by "Caduceus" is more fantastic than real. When has spirituality, expanded consciousness, or secret knowledge ever made anyone immune to energy? Yogis? Well, they can walk on coals. But even the most advanced yogi cannot live inside a blast furnace. Excuse me, but this begs for irony. It would be nice if the Reiki leaders put on a show where they walk into a burning building and walk out of it. A fire also produces a certain kind of energy fire-stream, and if knowledge exists that can protect from them, then why not — after a demonstration by Reiki — send every firefighter in the country to courses at "Caduceus." You couldn't put a price on "Caduceus" then, and the firefighters would be only too happy to receive immunity from burns...

We could just have a little laugh and leave it at that. Over this "Final Bell."

However, our psychics, it seems, never studied physics in school at all — otherwise they wouldn't spout the kind of nonsense you can read in their revelations. Everything is perfectly explainable, both physically and morally.

What gives them the idea that they have any relation whatsoever to the Supreme Cosmic Mind? Supreme, and Cosmic too... Do you have even a remote idea of what level that is?

Earth is a speck of dust on the scale of the Cosmos, and for such a Mind to pay attention to us... and even send us emissaries who get lost in elementary matters. Oh, human naivety! Our eternal desire to establish ourselves as the center of the universe! In my view, it's high time for some people to go through the "full sincere repentance" they so easily agitated others into, without troubling themselves to establish the connection between the real interests of humanity and the interests of those who imposed this contact on the founders of Reiki.

The representatives of "Caduceus" not only APPOINTED THEMSELVES as the saviors of humanity, not only blow trumpets in every key claiming to be emissaries of the Supreme Cosmic Mind on Earth, not only vainly attempt to create some new race of people (without even suspecting what that is, and unable to coherently explain why we need a new one and what's wrong with the old), but also traffic in something that DOES NOT EXIST IN NATURE AT ALL — immortality. A sweet little organization, wouldn't you say?

I don't want to say they don't heal illnesses. On the contrary. But who and why helps people recover, and at what price they will have to pay for the "miracle of healing" — is a rather slippery question.

Let me try to explain. The talk of a new race, to which the fashionable prophets and saviors surrender with such rapture, implies the creation not of a new race as we understand it, but of a new SPECIES of living beings on the basis of humanity. That is why they speak of some new EVOLUTIONARY era. And then, an attempt to drive us off the planet will be inevitable.

Yes, they will be more perfect than us (if they manage to produce this species), but it will no longer be humanity. And those who enthusiastically embrace the emergence of a "new race" on Earth must realize that they are preparing to hand their planet and all the fruits of human civilization on a silver platter — not to their children, not to their grandchildren, but to aliens, beings who will come to everything ready-made and won't scruple to use the results of our labor to get rid of us.

Long live the new race! And if not, then let's not dream of a new race but try to preserve the old one. I'm somehow not thrilled at the prospect of my great-grandchildren, if they survive, living in concentration camps.

It is not for nothing that they try to palm us off with something incoherent about a new EVOLUTIONARY path of development for the Earth (as if our path hadn't been evolutionary before), about a renewed planet, about how not everyone will enter the new era (often spoken of as an era of light), but only the chosen — those who CONSCIOUSLY desired change, though they were informed in veiled form that the path there is strewn with the corpses of their fellow countrymen. That is the essence; everything else is typical bluff. Verbal thickets about the loss of spirituality, harmony, merging with the cosmos, knowledge of the Absolute...

They will gladly spin us lies about who and, most importantly, why created the Universe (without specifying HOW and FROM WHAT it was made), what people live for, what the general laws of life are... (All of it "sucked out of thin air," carefully passing off wishful thinking as reality.)

The Universe was most certainly not created for us (few would dispute this), and we live, according to all sorts of preachers, in order to love (everyone, everything, everywhere, and always), and to grow so soft from love that we miss the threat to our own existence. And for such altruistic love they are ready to bestow grace upon us: forgive, heal, and let us live on an "evolutionarily renewed" planet.

What a blessing, truly, that despite all the "voices of the wise" that regularly start sounding here and there, humanity has rather powerful patrons — who have no interest in our destruction, in our degeneration, or in the arrival of a new race on Earth.

Perhaps I don't yet know all of them, and, frankly, not all of them are to my liking, but beggars can't be choosers, as they say. And until we all cry out in a single surge: "Give us a new race, great Supreme Mind, we're tired of the old one!" — no transition of the Earth to a "new evolutionary path of development," into some "new era of light," is possible.

We are considered the masters of the planet, and they're giving us a head start. And my duty is to explain to you what's what, because all these demarches by "higher forces" most of all resemble our television advertising — according to which ancient woes have vanished without a trace, giving way to menstrual cramps, body odor, and wet bottoms, and there's nothing more terrible for people than tooth decay.

How, in the current dire economic situation, to provide our children (read: the future of our nation!) with adequate nutrition — not a single "Supreme Mind" will tell you at any seminar. It's far more interesting for them to make us debate day and night about the loss of spirituality, moral values, human sinfulness, harmony, and similar poetic things.

And do you know that meager, inadequate nutrition during the period of brain formation leads to developmental delays and degeneration? But it's easier to blather about spirituality than to do everything possible so that not a single pregnant woman, not a single child on the planet knows hunger. That is where spirituality begins — not at attending various courses and seminars, building temples, and holding prayer services.

Forgive me, but I seriously doubt that aspen stakes and silver bullets will help us this time either — let alone crosses and crucifixes. These are more attributes of cinema than real weapons. The entities of the new race need a place to live, and Earth suits them fine. All that remains is to "get the go-ahead" from the current masters of the planet — and then we'll have grounds to say: "We fought for this, and this is what we got." How do you like a war in which we will have no rear, because the attackers can easily appear in the most unexpected places and just as suddenly leave our world?

Or do you think the tales of werewolves and other unclean creatures are children's fairy tales? Not at all! That was the first attempt to create a super-perfect being, in opposition to humans. To our good fortune, it failed. Will the second one fail too?

Oh, don't take horror movies as the standard, where, despite powerful special effects (in real life everything will be far more modest), "the good guys" always win because the enemies are afraid of something primitive. There is a nuance here. Because we are the masters of the planet, and we have patrons, the entities of the new race prefer to "play by the rules," pretending to fear icons, aspen stakes, prayers, incantations, sunrise...

It doesn't harm them at all, and they make this concession out of fear of falling out with our patrons. But if they manage to convince everyone that we ourselves desire their presence on the planet, if they can present themselves as a more perfect species, then all incantations and prayers will at once lose all their "magical power." A no-holds-barred struggle will begin, for which we are completely unprepared.

The incarnate entities of the new race need not necessarily have hideous faces and beastly grins. It's far simpler to disguise themselves as humans to deal with us. Remember the series of publications about "men in black"? Exactly. For now, they play by the rules. They appear to certain "lucky ones," to small but cohesive groups, feed them a line, and disappear. A parody of some of our own agents (like FBI agents). Do you know what line they feed? They forbid talking about flying saucers, about encounters and contacts with extraterrestrials. Why? Because they want to delay the large-scale introduction of humanity to other civilizations of the cosmos. Guessed why? They want to have time to establish their own order here, to infiltrate our environment.

This will allow them to fully subjugate a human being, to direct him. That's how you get murderous maniacs who are not of sound mind at the time of the crime, all sorts of possessed people spouting some kind of nonsense, often on religious themes, but remembering almost nothing after the episode — it seems that epileptics are their work too.

Enough of the psychic nonsense about the unknowability of the Universe, about how secrets are hidden from us for our own good, and therefore we, the initiates close to the Supreme Minds, know everything, but we can't tell you, the imperfect and uninitiated. You can! Nothing particularly criminal, apart from the structure of the Universe, hides behind all these questions. And if we didn't die of fright upon learning that the Earth is not flat but round, then learning everything else won't damage our minds too badly either.

I VERY much hope that the percentage of dupes on our planet will begin to decline inexorably.
