Apparently, the Americans believe the spent fuel in reactor 4s pool is now dry and exposed They're reccommending an 80km exclusion zone now

Here's a quote that stuck out to me :

Quote He said the next solution may involve nuclear plant workers having to take heroic acts. Asked to be more specific, he said, "This is a situation where people may be called in to sacrifice their lives. ... It's very difficult for me to contemplate that but it's, it may have reached that point."
I think prayers are now needed more than ever...

    Morning All,

    Following from IAEA Website:

Quote Japanese Earthquake Update (16 March 22:00 UTC)
Temperature of Spent Fuel Pools at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant

Spent fuel that has been removed from a nuclear reactor generates intense heat and is typically stored in a water-filled spent fuel pool to cool it and provide protection from its radioactivity. Water in a spent fuel pool is continuously cooled to remove heat produced by spent fuel assemblies. According to IAEA experts, a typical spent fuel pool temperature is kept below 25 °C under normal operating conditions. The temperature of a spent fuel pool is maintained by constant cooling, which requires a constant power source.

Given the intense heat and radiation that spent fuel assemblies can generate, spent fuel pools must be constantly checked for water level and temperature. If fuel is no longer covered by water or temperatures reach a boiling point, fuel can become exposed and create a risk of radioactive release. The concern about the spent fuel pools at Fukushima Daiichi is that sources of power to cool the pools may have been compromised.

The IAEA can confirm the following information regarding the temperatures of the spent nuclear fuel pools at Units 4, 5 and 6 at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant:

    Unit 4
    14 March, 10:08 UTC: 84 °C
    15 March, 10:00 UTC: 84 °C
16 March, 05:00 UTC: no data

    Unit 5
    14 March, 10:08 UTC: 59.7 °C
    15 March, 10:00 UTC: 60.4 °C
    16 March, 05:00 UTC: 62.7 °C

    Unit 6
    14 March, 10:08 UTC: 58.0 °C
    15 March, 10:00 UTC: 58.5 °C
    16 March, 05:00 UTC: 60.0 °C

The IAEA is continuing to seek further information about the water levels, temperature and condition of all spent fuel pool facilities at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
It is good to hear from you SKI.

    Kind Regards,
    Panopticon

    G'day All,
    Latest update from IAEA Website:

Quote Japanese Earthquake Update (17 March 01:15 UTC)
Injuries or Contamination at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant

Based on a press release from the Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary dated 16 March 2011, the IAEA can confirm the following information about human injuries or contamination at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

Please note that this list provides a snapshot of the latest information made available to the IAEA by Japanese authorities. Given the fluid situation at the plant, this information is subject to change.

    Injuries

2 TEPCO employees have minor injuries
2 subcontractor employees are injured, one person suffered broken legs and one person whose condition is unknown was transported to the hospital
    2 people are missing
2 people were 'suddenly taken ill'
2 TEPCO employees were transported to hospital during the time of donning respiratory protection in the control centre
4 people (2 TEPCO employees, 2 subcontractor employees) sustained minor injuries due to the explosion at unit 1 on 11 March and were transported to the hospital
11 people (4 TEPCO employees, 3 subcontractor employees and 4 Japanese civil defense workers) were injured due to the explosion at unit 3 on 14 March
    Radiological Contamination

17 people (9 TEPCO employees, 8 subcontractor employees) suffered from deposition of radioactive material to their faces, but were not taken to the hospital because of low levels of exposure
One worker suffered from significant exposure during 'vent work,' and was transported to an offsite center
2 policemen who were exposed to radiation were decontaminated
Firemen who were exposed to radiation are under investigation
The IAEA continues to seek information from Japanese authorities about all aspects of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
It appears that the IAEA is getting (or is that releasing) information from TEPCO...

You people are great. Last night I had a hot soothing bath. It was bliss. Me and the misses are in a coffee shop now organizing gigs for this year. Everyone has kind of scattered today doing all different things. Everyone seems so much
    more relaxed.
I called some other people in Tokyo and they were not worried in the slightest (not enough gasoline) is annoying them
    a tad. Amazing.
If this was meant to create fear well they have done a good job in putting fear into the rest of the world but I'm afraid
to say that the Japanese have not bitten the bait. When we left Tokyo yesterday many people were laughing and saying
"good luck and see you soon" Amazing.

I love these people very much.
They are just so dam cool.

    Last night
    Checked in hotel
    Entered the elavater
Friend has a cat in his bag
    Porter enters ....silence
Then meow !! All of us started
    Meow-ing, to drown it out.
    Really was comical.

    Gotta rush,

Speak later, should be able to relax tonight
    and talk to you all.

I'm hoping today will be a good day.

    Speak later

NASA's ACE (Advanced Composition Explorer) spacecraft has indicated that cosmic ray intensities have increased 19 percent beyond anything we've seen in the past 50 years. The sun has been abnormally quiet during the solar minimum phase which we are just emerging from. This is the most interesting phase because while the solar magnetic bubble is weak (the heliosphere) it allows energetic cosmic radiation to swim upstream and penetrate it. (not even mentioning the weakening magnetosphere). This has been well known to astronomers for years: that when solar activity is low, we get high cosmic radiation. The Ulysses spacecraft show that solar wind pressure is at a 50-year low. (Note that cosmic radiation also includes particles from sudden outbursts from the sun, CMEs)
Interesting information that I was unaware of. I don't follow such things much in general, as it's outside my real areas of interest. Thanks.

Quote Now in regards to spontaneous fission… the very first nuclear chain reaction (in Chicago in 1942) relied on exactly this. No beryllium/radium neutron source was used. See

    http://www.osti.gov/accomplishments/...xt/ACC0044.pdf

It's also a good historical read... timely for what is happening right now.

As rare as spontaneous fission is, you’d have to do the statistical calculations of that tremendous amount of uranium atoms absorbing a few unprobable neutrons to start the chain reaction. Obviously it worked for Fermi!
To get a chain reaction going requires a critical mass. Since the nuclei of unstable elements do fission spontaneously, it is the neutrons so released that start the reaction going. One of the things that is rather counter-intuitive is that if the neutrons are moving too fast, they actually reduce the chance of initiating fission in another nucleus, which is why the moderating material (graphite in Fermi's pile) is needed, to slow down the neutrons. Nuclear reactors are just variations on this first reactor, with variations in details, but having a critical mass under 'proper conditions.'

I can't think of any situation outside of a reactor where a critical mass of fissionable material exists. In a nuclear weapon, the critical mass only happens at the precise moment of detonation. The bomb components themselves are sub-critical until that time.

I don't see any reason to be alarmed about a prospect of a chain reaction just happening because the amount of radiation bombarding earth is increasing. It may have other effects, perhaps with electronic communication, but I just don't see anything catastrophic happening to stockpiles of fissionable material lying around.

BTW, might any of this increase have anything to with the suspected alignment to/with the galactic core?

This week's edition of Le Canard Enchaîné - a 'satirical paper' that also happens to get to places that other mainstream investigative journalissts don't reach - reports that the president and 4 executives of Tepco (Tokyo Electric Power Co) had to resign in 2002 for falsifying 29 reports back in the eighties, notably regarding cracks and corrosion on the reactor casings, so this is hardly a new problem.

Also in 2006 Tepco falsified the cooling water temperatures.

In 2007 after an earthquake ten miles away from a big plant, they were caught lying about the levels of radioactive leakage.

The bottom line, quote: 'a tsunami of lies'.
So these guys have a proven track record of untrustworthiness, as if we hadn't guessed as much.

Quote BTW, might any of this increase have anything to with the suspected alignment to/with the galactic core?
    Hello Dionysus,

mmm… not due to the solar system coming into physical alignment with the galactic ecliptic… because I suspect that the solar system is moving away from the galactic ecliptic. But I think the increase in cosmic radiation is due to the galactic core spewing out massive energy many light years ago and we are finally getting the early part of the “rain storm”.

NASA's Fermi telescope has discovered giant dumbbell shaped gamma bubbles above and below the galactic plane.

    http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/GL...structure.html

Nasa’s interstellar boundary explorer, IBEX, has discovered a highly energetic ribbon of energy just beyond the solar system.

    http://www.universetoday.com/74712/m...m-is-changing/

This helps to understand the measurable empirical data of increased cosmic radiation.

    Now to the woowoo factor…

In the 80s there were several reports of Preston Nichols, Al Bielek, Duncan Cameron etc talking about the Montauk project. They described going to the future many times but were 'stonewalled' in the year 2012 by a wall of light. They couldn't get past this event no matter how they attempted to maneuver around it. Several other reports since then have described the similar experiences.

Many here are aware of George Kavassilas’s story. I will not detail it here. If you are not familiar I recommend his website. Basically he suggests that earth is ascending (going to light) and taking us with her. Outrageous to say the least! Normally I would not give two seconds to such claims, but he describes his own experience with high integrity. So I listened. I like him.

After listening to his material, I figured that if he is right, there is nothing that we can do about it anyway. Furthermore if he is right, then we might get early warning signals from nuclear reactors.

He describes that the earth will get help from the sun and the galactic center in the form of increased cosmic rays. These will heat up and energize the earth’s core and speed up all particles in and on the planet. Clearly we are seeing an increase in cosmic radiation.

So I’m thinking … if Kavissilas is right, then we will see the affect on uranium 235 and plutonium 239 first, as they are the most unstable of particles. They are stored in huge quantities in nuclear reactors.

I do not know if the problems to control the situation at Fukushima, Japan are compounded by the increase in cosmic rays… probably not. BUT…. If we begin to see nuclear reactors around the world beginning to fail I will take it as a leading sign that all particles in our world are becoming unstable. Kind of like a barometer.

Then I will tip my hat to George… and plan to be enlightened!

If on the other hand, all particles continue to dance in a predictive way... including the degeneration of my brain cells... then I will quietly go and plant some carrots and flowers...

Ever since I woke up I have been attempting to do what I wrote about yesterday - cool the reactor cores and call in ET help (by granting permission). The more people that do it, the better chances we have of helping the engineers - many of whom may be making the ultimate sacrifice as was done at Chernobyl trying to battle the forces that have been unleashed by this accident.
I wrote that on the 13th and now 4 days later it looks like it might be true, I read about Engineers doing 15 minute shifts to work in radiation affected areas.

IMHO - they deserve all the help they can get.

    Never give up.

I think now is the time to disclose everything about UFO'S and technology the military posses. Not tommorow not next year NOW

Due to the seriousness in Japan it’s about time tbtb help. With the technology they posses they could help but would rather sit back and do nothing because they think we are not ready for the truth.

I ask upon our Galatic friends to help and intervene and sod the governments

The readings in Tokyo are low. The readings in Kyoto are zero.
They have water trucks going in and they are targeting No3 .. One truck drives right up and sprays like mad then drives out as another arrives and sprays like mad ect ect
This looks like a last desperate act and a very brave one. They started this 2 and a half hours ago and will continue until the jobs done I guess.

I passed a T.V. in the lobby this morning and there were a group of people watching as the helicopters came with water and unleashed it and the wind blew it away and every helicopter seemed to miss and one guy said " who's stupid dumb idea was that? " and everyone around laughed and the women were like " ah they'll find a way " and they shuffled out mumbling about great places to see in Kyoto. The guy who'd said it then came over to me and I was about to comment on the situation and he said with a big smile " where you from " and we chatted about everything but the situation and I finally asked him " what do you think about the nuclear crisis? " he replied " Nothing to worry about because japanese will not lose face and the workers will sacrifice themselves rather than fail and we'll never run away from problem but that helicopter idea was quite funny yes " and he laughed.

I heard of another woman who'd survived the Kobe earthquake but lost her house and she moved to Sendai and lost her house again.

One guy recording the Tsunami coming in and wrecking his whole village was stood with his grandson and the guy said " Do you think we should move up the mountain for higher ground " and the kid said " but I haven't done my homework " and the father said " look over there our house is floating away that's not important " and the kid shrugged his shoulders and said " I'll do it later then "

Another situation that was very similar with the father recording his house being washed away and he was saying " ahhh this is so bad everyones house is gone and our house is gone son" and the kid said " does that mean we have no electricity? "

One stupid news lady was recording everyone in a shelter LIVE and was asking people stupidly obvious questions and I was half paying attention until she asked a little girl " how are you feeling? " the little girl put her finger to her cheek and was all smiling and then had a look of concentration and she said " we have no school tomorrow and all my friends are here so I'm feeling very happy " excellent stuff.

I'm just throwing some of the funny stories in here. Yes there are some very sad stories that I just don't want to reveal at this time. Everyone in Tokyo has been told to use the smallest amount of electricity.

Most of the convoy have gone off to visit friends and relatives now. So it's just the Funny Bones crew and a mother who is seriously only here because we insisted and a cat. Yes that guy who works with me paid a lot of money for his cat and loves it dearly. He told me " yes if the sh..t hits the fan then it's it's curtains for the cat but for now she's staying with me " fair enough.

So we are all just chilling out now.

We are now planning on making good from this trip and have some great ideas. Of course I'll keep you all informed.

Thanks for the strength you have given me.

Now showing live pictures that are very blurry as they are filming from 30km away. I guess hero journalism does have it's limits.
