Post Sunspot 1175 / Solar Update (March 19)

New sunspot 1175 which is located in the northern hemisphere did show some growth overnight Friday, but it is not yet capable of producing strong solar flares. The STEREO Behind images now show many active regions on there farside journey and they will begin to rotate back into view by next weekend.

    Forecast

The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet on March 19-20. On March 21-24 there's a chance of some unsettled and active intervals due to effects from CH441 and CH442.
