    Default Meditative thoughts - please add more

    I want to try an experiment.

    Be The Love.
    Gaze around you, see the creator.

    Be The Light
    Gaze in the mirror, see the creator.

    Be kind to yourself.
    Gaze at the others, see the creator

    Be kind to them too.

    The experiment is for people to make up their own. The above was inspired by the Law of one and other works and my words are only a synthesis of what I have already read. This is what I want to try. Blending stuff.

    I was told once that before you can love god, you have to be able to love other people and before that you have to be able to love yourself.
    Sounds interesting enough, but what if you don't know what love is other than a concept?

    Here is another...

    In this moment
    radiate love

    In this moment
    radiate light

    In this moment
    radiate peace

    In this moment
    know the creator

    In this moment
    be the creator

    In this moment
    accept yourself!

    I guess we can add "interpretation" of these to the experiment - lol

    Hello John

    If we all try to live the thoughts of Max Erhmann in his beautiful prose of Desiderata (Latin: Desired Things) life would be so much better ...

    Desiderata

    Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
    and remember what peace there may be in silence.
    As far as possible without surrender
    be on good terms with all persons.
    Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
    and listen to others,
    even the dull and the ignorant;
    they too have their story.
    Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
    they are vexations to the spirit.
    If you compare yourself with others,
    you may become vain and bitter;
    for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
    Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
    Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
    it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
    Exercise caution in your business affairs;
    for the world is full of trickery.
    But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
    many persons strive for high ideals;
    and everywhere life is full of heroism.
    Be yourself.
    Especially, do not feign affection.
    Neither be cynical about love;
    for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
    it is as perennial as the grass.
    Take kindly the counsel of the years,
    gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
    Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
    But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
    Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
    Beyond a wholesome discipline,
    be gentle with yourself.
    You are a child of the universe,
    no less than the trees and the stars;
    you have a right to be here.
    And whether or not it is clear to you,
    no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
    Therefore be at peace with God,
    whatever you conceive Him to be,
    and whatever your labours and aspirations,
    in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
    With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
    it is still a beautiful world.
    Be cheerful.
    Strive to be happy.

    Max Ehrmann, Desiderata, Copyright 1952.

    Love and peace to all. JP

    Hi John and All,
    this moment is the time for acceptance. Acceptance is a soft transition towards positive change...
    I am the light
    I am the love
    I am the goodness
    that I see around

    Thats great!

    Well if nothing else happens on this thread, with that, you made it a success for me already ! Your version is great.

    I am hoping to see more that people have done themselves (or adapted/blended).

    this is such a simple practice that is not easy to follow, atleast for me

    it is said that saint francis found enlightenment through seeing 'god' in everything. all he touched, heard, saw. etc......he kept reminding himself it was god.

    i think the biggest key here is that it helps to keep you coming from your awareness, and i for one definitely cannot stay that stable within my awareness throughout my day lol! one day, my ego will exhaust itself. atleast, im hoping

    I think that whoever told you this made an interesting point indeed. I see so many people in the service of God but they don't always love other people. And somehow the ones that love the others radiate more of God than the ones that don't.

    So, if you don't know what love is, other than a concept, how can you be sure you know Who it is you're serving, other than it being another concept.
