WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama has directed the U.S. military to coordinate with South Korea to "ensure readiness" and deter future aggression from North Korea, the White House said on Monday.

The United States gave strong backing to plans by South Korean President Lee Myung-bak to punish North Korea for sinking one of its naval ships, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said in a statement.

The White House urged North Korea to apologize and change its behavior, he said.

"We endorse President Lee's demand that North Korea immediately apologize and punish those responsible for the attack, and, most importantly, stop its belligerent and threatening behavior," Gibbs said.

"U.S. support for South Korea's defense is unequivocal, and the president has directed his military commanders to coordinate closely with their Republic of Korea counterparts to ensure readiness and to deter future aggression," he said.

Obama and Lee have agreed to meet at the G20 summit in Canada next month, he said.

Late last week, a team of international investigators accused North Korea of torpedoing the Cheonan corvette in March, killing 46 sailors in one of the deadliest clashes between the two since the 1950-53 Korean War.

Lee said on Monday South Korea would bring the issue before the U.N., whose past sanctions have damaged the already ruined North Korean economy.

The United States still has about 28,000 troops in South Korea to provide military support.

The two Koreas, still technically at war, have more than 1 million troops near their border.

"We will build on an already strong foundation of excellent cooperation between our militaries and explore further enhancements to our joint posture on the Peninsula as part of our ongoing dialogue," Gibbs said.

Gibbs said the United States supported Lee's plans to bring the issue to the United Nations Security Council and would work with allies to "reduce the threat that North Korea poses to regional stability."

Obama had also directed U.S. agencies to evaluate existing policies toward North Korea.

"This review is aimed at ensuring that we have adequate measures in place and to identify areas where adjustments would be appropriate," he said.

A Pakistani soldier was killed Sunday in firing allegedly by Indian troops at the border between the South Asian rivals in disputed Kashmir, Pakistan's military said.

"A Pakistan army soldier embraced shahadat (martyrdom) due to unprovoked firing by Indians... at Battal sector in Rawlakot," it said in a statement.

"Pakistan has lodged a strong protest with Indians and demanded an immediate flag meeting," it added.

Indian army spokesman accused Pakistani troops of starting the firing.

"Our troops retaliated only after they were fired on by Pakistanis," Lieutenant Colonel Biplab Nath told AFP.

The incident occurred in the same area where two Indian soldiers were killed by cross-border fire on May 18.

India and Pakistan are always shooting and shelling each other near the Kashmir boarder. They have been at that for decades. The Korean deal is pretty much the same except this time the North went to far. This is a smoking gun awaiting reprisal.... watch this space so's to speak.

To the defense of the original article, it was mentioned that this wasn't a court sanctioned trial:

Obviously the event was a 'public' rather than a 'court' trial. No court sanctioned it. The legality of public trials apart from court sanction has not been established. While the Constitution does, indeed, maintain that the ultimate power of government rests with 'we, the people,' and while a case can be made that under the 10th amendment the people, acting under the auspices of local and state authorities, can engage in certain acts of self-governance apart from the sanction and control of the federal government, it has not been established that any local entity in Harlem granted state or local legal status to the trial.

So it wasn't really misleading, other than a misleading headline...but hey, isn't that just standard!

I think anyone who comprehends how a courtroom is will see that it is no different than a temple or church anyway.

People are well within rights to set up a court of the law of the land and calling such a thing a mockery because its not based upon revenue and the laws of sea is ridiculous. Infact such a court is probably the only way to insure that the trial is truly impartial and there is no deception of who serves who first and foremost (re: oath to the bar), in a sense, avoiding the obvious corruption.

The SSA neither issues Connecticut SSNs to Hawaiian residents nor does it ‘recycle’ dead people’s SSNs

According to the Social Security Administration (SSA), the first three digits of every Social Security number (SSN) indicates the state in which the person resides. Only one number may be issued to any given person, even in the event of identity theft, and numbers are never “recycled” after a person dies.

The instructions accompanying the application to apply for an original SSN, apply for a replacement card, and change or correct information on a SSN record are riddled with the term “you must.”

The instructions begin by stating, “IMPORTANT: You MUST provide a properly completed application and the required evidence before we can process your application. We can only accept original documents or documents certified by the custodian of the original record. Notarized copies or photocopies which have not been certified by the custodian of the records are not acceptable.”

It goes on to state, “To apply for an original card, you must provide at least two documents to prove age, identity, and U.S. citizenship or current lawful, work-authorized immigration status. If you are not a U.S. citizen and do not have DHS work authorization, you must prove you have a valid non-work reason for requesting a card.” It specifically points out, “If you are 12 or older and have never received a SSN, you must apply in person.”

In January 2005, President Bush signed Public Law 108-458, the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, which required the Secretary of Health and Human Services, in consultation with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Commissioner of Social Security and others, “to promulgate regulation establishing minimum standards for birth certificates,” which, among other things, mandated a requirement for proof and verification of identity as a condition of issuance of a birth certificate.

Public Law 108-458 limited the number of replacement SSN cards issued to any individual to three per year and 10 for the life of the individual, while establishing minimum standards for the verification of documents or records submitted by an individual to establish eligibility for an original or replacement SSN card, other than for enumeration at birth (EAB).

The Commissioner of Social Security was required to add death indicators to the SSN verification systems used by employers and state agencies issuing driver’s licenses and identity cards and allowed the commissioner discretion to add death indicators to other verification routines “as determined appropriate.”

The commissioner was also required to add fraud indicators to the SSN verification systems and make improvements to the EAB application process so as to “prevent the assignment of SSNs to unnamed children, the issuance of more than one SSN to the same child, and other opportunities for fraudulently obtaining a SSN.”

Additionally, the law prohibited federal, state and local governments from displaying SSNs on drivers’ licenses, motor vehicle registrations or other identification documents issued by state departments of motor vehicles.

SSN applicants must provide a birth certificate for evidence of age and, as proof of identity, a U.S. driver’s license, a U.S. state-issued non-driver identity card, or a U.S. passport.

The instructions state, “If you are not a U.S. citizen, we must see your current U.S. immigration document(s) and your foreign passport with biographical information or photograph.” In all caps it emphasizes, “We cannot accept a birth certificate, hospital souvenir birth certificate, social security card stub or social security record” as evidence of identity.

For evidence of immigration status, applicants must provide a current unexpired document issued by the DHS. If an international student or exchange visitor, additional documents may be required. It states, “If you are not authorized to work in the U.S., we can issue you a Social Security card only if you need the number for a valid non-work reason. Your card will be marked to show you cannot work and if you do work, we will notify DHS.”

Sonoran News contacted a congressional aide to ask if elected representatives, upon being elected and placed on the U.S. taxpayer-funded payroll, were required to fill out Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. The instructions accompanying Form I-9 provide answers about the purpose of the form and when it should be used. According to those instructions, “All employees (citizens and noncitizens) hired after November 6, 1986, and working in the United States must complete Form I-9.” No exceptions are noted.

After contacting Member Services for the U.S. House of Representatives, the aide said she was told members are not required to fill out a Form I-9. She was told the reason the House does not require a Form I-9 from its members is because the Constitution requires anyone who runs for a seat in the House to be a U.S. citizen for a minimum of seven years. And, when a person runs for office, they must file proof with their state’s election office that they meet the requirements of the office.

However that does not appear to be the case. If it were, Roger Calero, a Nicaraguan national and convicted felon, wouldn’t have been able to appear on the ballot as the Socialist Worker’s Party candidate for president of the United States in numerous states.

No one appears to be responsible for certifying, under penalty of perjury, that he has examined one document from List A or one each from List B and C, and that the documents presented appear genuine and relate to the candidate, who simply signs a document swearing to be eligible.

There is no apparent law or written policy that exempts members of Congress or other elected officials on taxpayer-funded payrolls from filling out a Form I-9.

Sonoran News continues to seek answers regarding Obama’s fraudulent use of another person’s SSN, the use of which has been cemented in with his fraudulently created Selective Service registration.

Guilty verdict in Obama trial: more questions than answers:

Dr. James Manning's now-famous trial of Barack Obama in Harlem, New York has ended. The jury found Obama and Columbia University guilty on all charges.

The trial, however, unveils many more questions than it provides answers.

But first, a few observations are in order about the nature of this event.

Obviously the event was a 'public' rather than a 'court' trial. No court sanctioned it. The legality of public trials apart from court sanction has not been established. While the Constitution does, indeed, maintain that the ultimate power of government rests with 'we, the people,' and while a case can be made that under the 10th amendment the people, acting under the auspices of local and state authorities, can engage in certain acts of self-governance apart from the sanction and control of the federal government, it has not been established that any local entity in Harlem granted state or local legal status to the trial.

In that sense the trial and the verdict have no binding legal authority.

However, should a legal authority, a court, a law enforcement agency, an Attorney-General either at the state or national level, decide that the evidence presented at the Manning trial is overwhelming enough to launch a full investigation, then ultimately the results of the trial could carry the full weight of legal authority.

Dr. Manning has stated that he intends to present the evidence and the verdict to U.S. Attorney-General Eric Holder. At that point the ball will be in the 'court' of the Department of Justice. If no action is taken on the verdict, then there is not much further that can be done.

But if action is taken and an official investigation ensues, then perhaps the goal of this event will have been met. The problem is that under the present circumstances it is next to impossible for that to happen. Holder is Obama's choice and Congress is held in the grip of Obama's Party. End of story.

Serious, unanswered questions remain, however--questions that the trial did an excellent job of bringing to the surface.

These questions are as follows:

Why didn't Barack Obama have a Social Security Number issued in his name when he was first employed as a 14-year-old in Hawaii? Why was there such a long delay after his first job before an application was made for a Social Security Number? And why was he given a Connecticut Social Security Number previously used by a man born in the late 1800s, given that Obama never lived in Connecticut to begin with?

The first instance of Obama's use of the Connecticut number was when he started to work as a Community Organizer in Chicago--a very long way from Connecticut.

Further, why was Obama given a degree from Columbia University when no one in Harlem ever remembers him being there, and although witnesses have testified that he was never a student on campus? And the address given by Obama as the one that he used while a student in Harlem does not exist.

But perhaps the most telling question of all is, why did Obama use a Kenyan passport to travel to Pakistan in 1981? Wouldn't a U.S. citizen normally be given an American passport? It seems to be standard procedure--and the law--that passports are given only to citizens of the country in which they reside.

And what has the CIA got to do with all of this mess?

The fact is we may never know for sure unless somebody in authority in the government decides to investigate and discover the answers.

But one thing is for sure--Obama is an enigma, a shadow, a persona created out of the murky circumstances of his past, which is being carefully hidden. Why would it even need to be hidden?

These questions are disturbing to anyone who takes our Constitution and our way of life seriously. Our form of government, as delineated in the Constitution, is dependent upon the honesty and transparency of those who hold public office. And if a fraud is elected, a charlatan, a person who presents himself as something he is not, then the entire American system of government is in grave danger.

Better to err on the side of utmost caution than to glibly dismiss all of these questions as 'mere coincidences.' Coincidences do happen, no doubt, but this many and this often--all revolving around one man?

The odds are that the country is in grave danger.

Even if it is true that the Constitution is dead and Barry is operating as the CEO of the US Corporation, we Americans should at least be entitled to an HONEST, TRANSPARENT and NON FRAUDULENT/LYING CEO.
