I do love the way that David Hawkins presents what is required
In order to even be deceived… that is, our basic Innocence, Awareness within Consciousness.

These are my own words unless you find something in quotations, which are Dr. Hawkins, quoted from Healing and Recovery.

If as a child, you were taught that blue is green, it was because of your state of innocence that you learned this. The innocence of consciousness itself.

That Innocence is still within you. You are Not the beliefs that you hold, you are not your thoughts, you are not your fears, You are not your body.

Dr Hawkins speaks on about how the physical body, all by itself, cannot know itself.
Your arm has no way of experiencing its armness. Sensations of the body are occurring in the mind which cannot experience itself either. A thought cannot experience its thoughtness without something even greater, consciousness. And ultimately it’s one’s awareness within consciousness that experiences everything.

If a part of your brain were cut out, or anesthetized, there is no consciousness to be aware of what is going on in that brain/mind. Consciousness is Higher than body or mind, but would you say that consciousness still exists even tho now that particular brain is not reporting anything? Yes, because not only is the body still breathing, but other people report what’s going on in their body. It’s the Awareness within Consciousness that is unavailable to that anesthetized brain… yet consciousness still exists, it’s simply not exclusively localized in that one brain.

The state of awareness, an aspect of a greater, powerful energy field behind consciousness is the energy of Life itself… the Source. That state of awareness is not restricted by commonly held beliefs. But commonly held beliefs do bring forth consequences that are experienced by conscious awareness in this existence through your brain & your physical body.

Quote: “We can compare the consciousness of the child [or adult] to the hardware of a computer, and the programming coming in from the social consciousness of the world itself is the software. We see that in the computer, the hardware, which is intrinsically innocent, is uncontaminated by the software.”

A person’s beliefs are likened to the software in the state of conscious awareness, the hardware, the permanent innocence. “It is the intrinsic innocence of one’s consciousness that is listening, reading, trying to tune itself in to what is real… innocence is unchanged…it never leaves”.

“The reaffirmation of our innocence consists of never buying that anything is ‘just’ ego; there is no such thing as ‘just’ ego. Ego, the software, social consciousness, and the programming have merely been superimposed on that which is not ego but on truth itself, consciousness itself. All spiritual crises come from context, meaning, and the way in which a thing is held.”

Certain levels of consciousness have painful consequences. Commonly held beliefs, whether religious, spiritual, political, medical, beliefs about your own nature … all bring forth consequences that include conflict & discord when practiced. Everything is brought up into awareness in order for conscious awareness itself to be recognized & experienced as being Innocent and above the beliefs that are being superimposed over it. We fail to recognize that beliefs are not truth because we‘ve not recognized the intrinsic nature of conscious awareness itself as the only Truth we can know. Consequences & outcomes tell you how close to Truth you are if & because Truth, (God) Innocence is free of guilt, shame, sin, evil, the definition of innocent, look it up.

Consider your software, your beliefs, what affiliations you have w/religions, politics, food choice, purchasing… what consequences arise out of those affiliations, are they for the good of all beings? Are they divisive or inclusive? Do they put you in the exclusive “in club”, you have found the truth while others are lost or deluded? What is the outcome of having many different religions, of claiming you have the True one? What is the outcome of having different political parties or the existing monetary system? What is the outcome of participating in any war, whether it’s the war on drugs, on cancer, on people? Is every one having a meal today or a roof over their head? In what ways are we Truly connected?

Where have the commonly held beliefs taken us? Perhaps “beliefs” are anesthetizing so that conscious awareness cannot get through.

The Truth is, we are all in this together. There is not one that is chosen over another. Nothing is lost ever. Any belief that tells you that some will go this way while others will go that way, is fundamentally flawed because it is by its nature divisive. It has to be if Truth is universal, unified. Conscious awareness, GodMind.

Hope this is not off topic on a thread that is being “closed”… I felt compelled to share this while it probably still needs more contemplation & editing.. and it’s been a couple of hours of contemplation for me this morning and I have to get on with my day. We have all recognized that we have been infiltrated w/erroneous beliefs maybe for the sole purpose of seeing this and ask as Stardust so often reminds us in her signature... and to question everything, examine ones' self ... right action is the one with the fewest choices that apply to all!

The whole episode made me think why people needs to disrupt and I think there are two answers

1) They are partaking on the deception unconsiously

2) They can not handle the fact that the world is much darker than it appears to be

There is a fundamentalist agenda too that has spread all over the forum now and I hope it subsides.

This research is important, and I hope many read it because knowledge is power. Other people have spent a lot of time putting this things together all that I did is posting here

It's been a good discussion Star, great work!

In (my own) conclusion:

I think it's very obvious that every single strain of thought that carries "followers/subscribers" like the New Age movement becomes institutionalised by an ever-morphing dogma, some of which has evil intent, some is just misguided, some is usefull. Like every method of faith before it, the dogma itself REPLACES the actual action of faith itself, surpassing it in percieved importance if not rationalised and properly checked consciously on a regular basis.

(This is not off topic stick with me....) We have a world where the majority of the populace who hold a belief in God have always taken that faith blindly according to the institution native to their land and culture. In this modern day, those of a free-thinking disposition will eventually arrive at the conclusion that these religions are massively institutionalised and corrupt from the top down to the bottom in so many different ways. Even completely different dogma exists within the very same religion resulting in sects/denominations of massively different beliefs. So the free-thinker (rather than brainwashed or non-thinker) will not "fit" in any of these boxes. That is not a satiable rate for tptb, as not everyone has been boxed. "Religion is the opiate of the masses".....always has been BUT tptb in recent years have become concerned with people breaking out the box...."opting out". So the New Age movement became the vehicle with which to ensnare "believers" who opted out of mainstream religions. The only group now not ensnared were atheists, who have their own "uses" given the box they're in themselves....

Through the New Age movement one is encouraged to absorb an ever increasing amount of rubbish, intermingled with some very usefull wisdom, same as any religion, the search is what determines the opinion/eventual position. Now a lot of this information is devisive, but why is that a problem?!?! The very nature of free will is that it divides........it's the "conquering" part that is wrong, NOT the division. Every blade of grass on a lawn is different, yet they are all still blades of grass and (were they to have a free thinking consciousness!) their opinion about their own "grassness" will always be different. Those differences should be celebrated not chastised as long as they are true to the individuals' integrity and freedom. If a piece of New Age info ensnares either of those (integrity and freedom) it is useless to you and harmfull to the race.

In final conclusion I DO NOT BELIEVE WE BLONG TO A "NEW AGE MOVEMENT". Because in belonging to it one gives it it's actual existence!! I officially "opt out" like David Icke says. I do not and will not fit into any of these boxes made for me. Why? Because I am free concsious life energy moving my way through the universe. While temoprarily boxed in this physical body, my spirit, soul and mind can never be....unless I allow it and THAT ladies and gentlemen will never happen.

Stardust, From what I understand the New Age has been around longer than most realize. I have found references to this "New Age" in many old writings, from several different centuries. I have several, of what would would be considered New Age, books from the early 1900's - and many of the Mystic's of past centuries were considered New Age as well. Just for instance, I have a set of commentaries called New Age Bible Interpretation - An Exposition of the Inner Significance of Holy Scriptures in the Light of the Ancient Wisdom, by Corinne Heline (copyright 1938), that has nothing to do with what mainstream christianity teaches. This is considered "New Age" but it is based on the ancient wisdom and mystical teachings of past ages. I have another that is called The New Age Vegetarian Cookbook (1968), and is based on past knowledge. It looks to me as though the "real" new age is but a new way of voicing old mystical teachings within every generation.

If someone had a different idea of interpretation of the bible or other scripture or knowledge they were considered New Age, because they could understand it in a new light. Many were martyred for their so-called new age beliefs. It is through these New Age teachers that we have past teachings brought to us that have been past down from past ages to where we are today. Sadly, as you have brought attention to on this thread, we have a very different New Age understanding among us today. It has become a religion with all its do's and don'ts, and all the other external "give another your personal freedom and power" games that ALL religions play. The true New Agers are almost always a hidden, out of the mainstream, people that focus on applying hidden truths to ones spiritual development.
So from my viewpoint I would agree that the New Age has been infiltrated (which has happened to all spiritual traditions) and will continue to happen to any teaching that strives to understand the inner teachings of past ages.
