1 tv for watching dvd, lost (offline), fringe (offline), listening mp3 and playing ps3 games without violence. No news no radio no commercials. One tv channel for kids with sesame street like programming. Recently my kids watch less tv We try to go outdoor as often as possible...
Best wishes and free energy to all

I am a bit of a "shut-in", so I probably spend more time on my computer than most, and I watch movies on my computer fairly often.
In the past year, I watched reruns of Stargate Atlantis on TV ( I didn't have a TV when it came out, so had never seen it before) and a few other shows on the SciFi and History channels pertaining to "forbidden archeology", UFOs. etc.
Then I discovered that I could download Stargate onto my computer using my Netflix account, and I prefer my computer screen to my TV, so I watched it on my computer instead, which was much more pleasant.
My TV seems to emit a very unpleasant energy if I'm watching broadcast TV, but not if I'm watching a DVD on it from my DVD player.
I find commercials are so obnoxious and frequent, if I hadn't had a remote with a mute button, I never would have watched TV at all...

Are TPTB sending out some kind of weird toxic mind-numbing energy on broadcast TV? That would be typical, I suppose. (sigh)

I get DVDs from Netflix and watch them on my TV, but I rarely turn my TV on anymore otherwise.
I have found some enjoyable movies and BBC series on youtube.
There is a private site online with a collection of period dramas which I watch sometimes.

These current times are so tumultuous, so I find nostalgic movies like Pride and Prejudice and series like Upstairs Downstairs to be oddly comforting sometimes.

I wish they hadn't cancelled Stargate Atlantis though. I really enjoyed that, and actually was writing sequels in my head after I had watched the last episode. LOL!

I actually prefer reading, but our local library is very small, and buying books is not possible on my budget.

It's surprising what commonality I see in these posts. The sports shows are some of the worst hype and insane/inane commentary designed to fulfill the military hegemony of us versus them winner take all that I've ever heard. I find just the background noise when I'm in a bar or restaurant deeply irritating. Ever notice how television sucks the energy out of a room like a giant shop-vac and then fills the space with a huge infomercial designed to dumb and numb?

Not to get off topic, but what about newspapers? Another thread or just an obvious off shoot soon dispatched on this thread? I speed read a newspaper once every few weeks just to check in on what people are currently being fed within the consensus reality, and find myself nodding and thinking "yea, that's about what I figured".

    Regards, Craig

ps Onawah, we trade in used books by the boxfull at a used book store we can walk to and sometimes maintain a line of credit that way. Otherwise our little place would be overwhelmed with books everywhere......Oops, off topic?

I remember once watching the news (after not watching tv for a long period) and the anchorman said what would you think if you heard.......bla bla bla (can't remember). I began to think about it..what would I think if I heard...bla bla bla. As I began formulating my ideas, I was interupted by the anchorman saying "you would think bla bla bla". I remember being stunned...hey you #$&tard that wasn't what I was thinking at all. I wonder how many people don't even bother trying to formulate their own thoughts and just wait for the television to tell them what to think. Life without tv is liberating on so many levels!

    LOVE ALLways, c

I do still watch some tv, but mainly one or two programmes I like and whenever a good film comes on. Used to watch CNN and BBC World News - but now they just irritate me! I get all my news from the Internet - David Icke/Avalon/Camelot etc.

Craig, I wish we had one of those used book stores in my small town. I've patronized them too too, other places I've lived.
Your previous post reminded me of a guy I knew years ago when I lived on the East Coast. He was a young radical hippie professor and kept on top of a tall bookcase in his living room, as a kind of work of art/political statement/momento , a TV with an ax buried deep in the screen, which he had put there himself in a fit of rage at what was being broadcast. Needless to say, there was no other TV in his home. LOL

The reason its good to watch some mainstream news at least is so we can read between the lines.

Its about what they don't say a lot of the time. That's how people like Bill Cooper was able to predict something terrible going to happen and that Osama would take the blame for it. With both mainstream news and alternative news, you should probably ride the middle of both and take neither as the whole truth, because bot sides are pushing an agenda at the end of the day. Does that make sense? It does to me...

Back in the sixties, I would watch TV maybe once in six months to see how the cultural messages would change and it was rather amazing even back then. About a year ago a sister lent me a TV series to watch on my computer. I was appalled by this lawyer type show which she found witty and sophisticated. It seemed as if the cultural values have become proto psychopathic. When my grand daughter visits, she (age 8) and I snuggle and watch some Hulu movie for kids. Some have heart but most are training kids to be mall rat consumers or undesirables if they don't follow the latest trends.

Sometimes I turn on the car radio but find it annoying and wonder why people pay extra for fancy car music systems and them blast them so loud that I wonder if the toddler in the back seat will be a deaf teenager.

Recently I have been wondering about the computer, too, especially conspiracy news radio, whistleblower interview shows, forums like this, YouTube news about HARRP, earthquakes, radiation, secret space programs, threatening comets, etc. It all makes me feel that the world's fate is so hopeless: conform to the norms and become a half human, half robot slave to the PTB.

Even as my generation grows older, I see too many people going through the hell of chemo and I wonder why they are willing to do so rather than just die. They trust doctors who are indoctrinated by big Pharma and never question all the drugs they are given.

So it isn't just TV that is scary; besides the sublimination messages, it is the fear building messages that see to be designed to destroy our hearts in all media.

I don't have/own a TV, however the internet is almost the same thing, depending on how you use it. I watch fluffy stuff (movies) on evenings when I need a break ... I call it my drug-of-choice. In general, TV is machine designed to program the watcher. I will admit that I just got back from house-sitting for someone for 2 days... they had a TV and I enjoyed watching some full length movies while I was there.

A couple of years ago I spent some time in bed from illness. I used TV then as a form of entertainment. I viewed old movies, and made it a game to watch the programing put in place back in the 1960s thru 2000 which has become reality now in the way people believe and behave.. Very interesting indeed!

We have a tv. I watch Rugby and F1, and BBC news when it's my turn for the ironing - honestly? I find there's more crap on the internet than tv.

EDIT: And Radio 5 Live for the rugby too, fantastic coverage

That was the site I was referring to:
    http://educate-yourself.org/lte/HDtv...a12apr08.shtml

When you scroll further down on that page, people are sharing their experiences.
Having read through it, I must say the bit where it says "I'm watching them" gave me the creeps! Does anyone have any proof of spy techniques going on (or any stories they would like to share).

All I can offer is that once, many many years ago before I was even awake, a guy who worked for Sky told me that there's secret mics in the box to pick up what you say. I honestly thought he was mental at the time. This has just jogged my memory. This is freaky...This was in the early 90's.

Our cell phones are designed the same way. Even if you cycle them off they can still be used to pinpoint your location and listen in on conversations.

I bet that even if you pulled the battery, it would still keep working for a time - ever seen the capacitors in a modern cell phone? They are big because they use a form of pulsed technology that extends the life of the battery.

I noticed a long time ago that the longer I hold a phone to my head the more stressed I get, along with a headache. I usually text, and only do phone calls when I have to.

He was indeed! A total wild man and a genius to boot. He used to scare the hell out of the faculty at the Univ of Md. where he taught, but the students adored him, so they were afraid to fire him, I think.
I found I couldn't look into his eyes for too long, without getting a little scared myself! But he was harmless, and hilarious...

We have a few tvs in this house but no service. We are totally fine with that- however we do occasionally watch shows online like American Pickers. I'd rather spend time online, visiting places like here, or reading books, or anything else, really.

Default Re: How many avalonians have/own or watch TV ?

No tv since the late 60's......I find that when I need to know about something someone tells me or I get the message intuitively. But I find if I am in a place when one of those HD TV's are on I become so fascinated on looking at the picture ! Go figure.
