I guess that now you get the idea of what I was talking about when mentioning "Keep an eye on the trend." This one gets to be ... vertical!

Time for peolpe on El Hierro to keep the engines running, ready to go... at the next "jump" from Polly.

The way these updates go are this way:

    1) People's feet; instant

    2) A jump in the accumulated energy diagram (Polly); 10-20 minutes later

    3) Seismograms; 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hour later

    4) Listing of the tremors on El Hierro IGN site; 2-3 hours later.

Therefore, unless one is feeling the tremor, the next best warning is the size of the jump of the next green dot at Polly's head since a gap between green dots indicates the "tremor" to be ≥ 3.0

OH Amzer Zo !!!! God Bless You and the way you Think..Thank You for being able to bring some order to the graphs that I post.. Thank You... I am trying to hard to detatch myself from this...give FAIR WARNING ..which I have been Trying to do for the last 4 weeks or so through this and my 6804 thread...
It is hot here. There is no air. There is a misty cloud again tonight. There are Stars. but...Still NO MOON.. I have Not seen the Moon here for over a week. I have walked and walked the village, binoculars in my hand...(I like looking at the sky when walking my doggie), and it is NOT rising over Roque de Jama, and I have Not seen it whilst driving to work either.. Weird...
There is a 'sunset' glow coming from over the mountain beyond, but it is after 10pm..could be the reflection of the lights from the city in the Mist..One morning last week I could not even see where I was driving going to work. I was so disturbed by at all, that I was taking photographs as I was driving. Naughty I know. But I did it all the same.
Today is the first day since I started to watch and follow this in July that I have felt Nervous.

You see the way I see it is this.....
10000 people HAVE to get OFF that Island...NOW..
Our Island here in Tenerife just across the water is ....quiet..ghostly. I took the liberty of checking websites at work tonight, checking how many flights were headed to Tenerife today,,,if there were any delays and how many where airborn..September is always quiet here on this Island. But it is DEAD. There were 3 airborn, 1 Gate was closed and the rest are scheduled flights for tomorrow. I appreciate that there may be more than that, but I just checked a few of the major airline company sites, just to have a nosey in the short amount of free time that I had.
And so... That means that there are Lots of empty Hotels to put the 10000 people in........but then what ???
IF Polly decides to break free tonight or tomorrow then they will come here. Guaranteed. This is the ONLY and nearest Isalnd to Ferry (pardon the pun) people backwards and forwards in the shortest possible space of time. The nearest Port from A to B will be Los Cristianos, I work in the next town. So, for sure I will video it and upload it here.
EVERY BUSINESS HERE also survives on Tourism. Black money is a mainstream income. For Residents, they will manage for maybe a week..and if Polly blows and we get Ash and wind.....Flights are OFF.. then there will be the stranded Tourists plus the 10000 to feed...(kind of reminds me of a Bible story in a quirky kind of way)...We don't grow anything except Bananas...so unless there is a Food Mountain here....we will all have to have milkshake Nobody came clean about this and stared it in the face until 19 September, and even now, it is OUT of the MSM,,and within days here on the local newstations it is "in and out" followed by an update on the roadworks... But I am sure that you get my point.
You have been remarkable in your support and ingenuity throughout all of this, and I would like to say Thank You. Openly. It has been a Hell of a Ride.
God willing this will all turn out that I was living in an Alternate Reality all of this time and that it is really just a dream.
Thank You Amzer Zo. It is a pleasure and an honour to call you my friend,

Put the coffee pot and pass it around,
    Thank you again, Randles

From your reports, it sounds like it's time for these good people to go. Any approximations as to how many people are still left on El Hierro? How are the prevailing winds holding out for you? Are the winds still coming from the NE? Your island is also considering evacuation, right?

What's the news on movement? Have official steps been taken to provide planes, ships, etc... for evac?

    NO, none at all.
You see, at first, back in July I was just watching. Then Polly (accumulated energy graph ) and the consistant and persistant chip chip chip of up to 750 each day sometime dropping to 100 or less, then for sure it gained consistancy and persistancy..
And so, I watched the graph. I say Polly getting upset, but he quakes were still chipping away. Thanks to Amzer Zo, he makes sense of the information that I post and puts it into context. Back in July the there was a little bit of chatter about it on the internet, then the chatter STOPPED. CEASED TO BE. HAARP VIDEOS about the Canary Islands were being pulled from You Tube all of the time. None of which belonged to me or were posted by me.
But it kept on going. The quakes kept coming, and the energy was rising.
I flagged it up here on Avalon..this thread only came about seperately when I KNEW FOR SURE..that they were going to face the population with leaflet drops.
But now..in El Hierro it is different. People ARE feeling it. Meetings held with the public are not necessarily in school halls anymore. They are on chairs and benches in the open.
The knock on effect it will have psychologiclly here will be enormous. The BIGGEST FEAR of any Islander here, especially the elders is the Volcano. Some are also nonchalant about it. "that is life" they will say as they shrug their shoulders. When they see those boats arrive bringing anxiety, stress, tears, denial, bodies wracked with emotion...it will go two ways..
either the Churches will be fit to bulging,
or the seed of panic will be watered...ESPECIALLY if they see smoke in the distance and the orange glow in the sky, and then they smell the air, and reach out their hands just to check if Ash is falling from the sky..
So, although it is rather a long answer,
I hope that this will help you to understand MY reasons for posting this thread, to Try So Hard, to "get this out there", because these people are going to need Help. And up until now, outside the Islands.. lips are still zipped !

I would agree with you 100 percent. Get them over here where we HAVE the Hotel space. They have to BE somewhere here, ............unless FEMA are thinking of popping over and setting up a camp for them
At the moment, the only danger on this Island, and neighbouring Islands, is that TOURISM will grind to a Hotel, and the whole "service industry" which is the cogs and the pistons of these Islands. The danger will come ...from where we least expect it...
Once "she blows" then what...we wait to see if "the distorted side" of the Volcano collapses...we also wait to see if the quakes creep across or God forbid, Pollys energy releases and distributs herself through more than one of the five hundred volcanos on El Hierro. About 300 are sky cokes.
Here in Tenerife we have the third highest Volcano in the world and about 300 sky cones. La Palma last showed her ass in 1971,
so the danger is in certain, on many levels, and from many areas, and for so very many different reasons for the THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS that live on El Hierro, La Gomera, Tenerife, and to a large extent Gran Canaria. Lanzarote and Furventura enjoy a much greater distance away from us. 287 miles east of here.QUOTE=sygh;319469]Yup, its time to go. Any approximations as to how many people are still left on El Hierro? Are YOU in danger where you are located?[/QUOTE]
