Default How do you find the strength/power in yourself?

I don't post alot but am here everyday. I alway had alot of strength, as I had to deal with alot . That's ok, it's life. But now I am at a point that I don't have any strength which I need now! How do you find the power in yourself? I know I have it, I just to need it alot. But what do you do when you can't reach it? And the weakness takes over? One of the things I am dealing with is anxiety and really bad panic attacks, not just a little! And that is keeping me prison. I need that to go away so I have the strength to move on. I have tried emdr, healing seasons,Inositol Powder, hypnosis( that doesn't work for me cause they say I am to smart for that) ect.
I can't accept that this is ruling my life, I haven't gone through a hard life to end like this.
All advice and healing is welcome and if anyone can do a reading let me now,
    Much love,
    debby

Debby, use the power of intention. Whatever comes up or whatever you are faced with in the now moment, stay with it. Do not 'run away' in your mind or physically. Just look, observe, whatever you are faced with. The first time you do this it will be sooo difficult, then it will gradually get better. Your God can only work 'with you', not do it for you. You must find your own courage first, to the best of your ability, then you are helped. Reach down, reach inward, that strength is still there. You just have to 'know it', to insist on it. Before faced with something testing, find yourself an empowering saying/mantra. Eg, 'This day, this moment, I am Strong, Resilient and Knowing. Practice empowering yourself with something like this every day, as many times as you think of it. Especially when you feel doubtful or weak. Change any weak thoughts into strong ones instantly. You are your own enableler

    Love and Strength to You

I also suffer with anxiety and the odd panic attack since I was post natal in 2006. Its a nightmare and I really sympathise. Trying to explain it to someone who hasnt been through is hard work. It's like having a bad trip is the only way I can explain it! I think it has alot to do with the shift as well. Sometimes I wake up fine and grounded (oh how I love and appreciate those days) other days Im on the ceiling.

I have found for me calcium and magnesium taken at night help and a vitamin b complex in the mornings. But only 6 weeks on 6 weeks off for b vit. Also breathing exercises, reiki and kundalini yoga have helped alot. I learned level 1 reiki just so I can use on myself I was so desperate. It helps alot.

But mainly its all about grounding. You probably find it hard to ground your energies. Get to nature as much as possible and walk especially amongst the trees. Also look around the net for grounding techniques, theres alot of info out there. Believe it or not sometimes a good heavy meal helps something like steak and chips. Im mostly veggie but when Im feeling like this I know I need it and it really helps. And also root vegetables as in foods from the ground, honestly it works.

Going back to the red meat thing as our bodies are adjusting to the shift where I believe we wont need or want to eat meat anymore, just give in to it now and then. Its just an adjustment as we swing back and forth. I really hope that helps. Remember grounding, really important. Much love and healing to you Debby - Lisa x

Oh and a great affirmation to say is I AM CALM CONFINDANT AND POWERFUL. Keep saying it over and over, in the mornings, evening, in the mirror, in your mind and out loud. Say it while running up the stair it builds the energy!

As you are probably both an empath and psychic sponge keep your shields up. Surround yourself in a white light or whatever colour you like! Also visualise rooting into the ground like a tree. If you can get your feet in the soil. Grow some plants (again hands in soil great for grounding).x

I am wondering if you might look at your diet?
Do you eat a lot of carbohydrates, cereals and fruit?
    Do you eat natural fats?

I went through a several month period where I experienced paranoia, panic attacks and depression. Since I never had a clue what depression and paranoia were like before this I was sure that it was from a stroke I had experienced and that there were some changes in my brain from the stroke. I tried a total raw food and juice diet, chelation, a couple of healers, etc. None of that worked. Then I found a clinic that had a Pulsed electromagnetic machine called a Papimi machine. Within a few 30 minute treatments all my symptoms from the stroke were gone, and there were a lot more symptoms than just the depression and paranoia.

You can no longer find clinics that use the Papimi machine as it's illegal in the US now, but there are quite a few clinics or chiropracters, etc who have different and as effective PEMFT (Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field Therapy) machines. My son found a place in Southern Oregon that had a Bemer 3000. He used it for a couple of months because of a back injury. One of the side benefits he experienced was a HUGE feeling of well being, almost to a point of ecstasy. Another friend of mine who lives in Southern Oregon and has been a Tai Chi teacher for many years used the Bemer for a couple of months and he said it gave him tremendous energy and a sense of calm and well being, almost like doing a few hours of Tai Chi.

I also have friends who have used the MRS 2000 PEMFT machine and had amazing results with not only their health problems but it has always given them a feeling of great energy and well being. I would highly recommend that you try to either find a place that uses a PEMFT machine or purchase one if you can afford it.

These are some of the best machines and you can find out some good info at this website:
    http://electromeds.com/

    Medithera
    MRS 2000
    Bemer 3000
    Quantron

There is also another machine called the Quantum Pulse.
This is a list of locations that offer treatments:
    http://www.thequantumpulse.com/

There are many videos on youtube with people's experiences with the MRS 2000 and Bemer 3000 and some of the other less well known PEMFT machines.

I was actually happy that I got to experience depression and paranoia for a few months, otherwise I had no real understanding that it was not always a state one could just "will" themselves out of. When people told me they were depressed or had panic attacks it was difficult for me to empathize and I would think to myself "why don't they just focus on the positive things in life!" or some other typical new age response. If your brain has undergone organic changes there is often little you can easily do to reverse it with good intentions and thoughts, diets and healers. Pulsed Electromagnet Field Therapy works. It changes you on a cellular level and you experience an incredible and long lasting sense of well being. In the 6 years or so since I had 20 treatments the depression and paranoia I experienced has never returned.

I don't know about you, but I find that I my own power comes to me when I need it. When we're not in a dangerous situation, it's easy to think we'd be too scared to act, but when we are in that situation, we deal with it a lot better. I had an abduction experience a bit back and found my power with very effective results. You have to have confidence in yourself that you have the power. When you have that confidence, you don't have to find it when you need it because it finds you. I know of somebody who had to have a biopsy to determine if they had cancer or not (luckily, they didn't), and somebody said they were being too blasé about it, saying "You've never had cancer before, you don't know how you would deal with it" and they replied "Cancer's never had me before".

    Hello Debby,

I can empathize 100% with you, because I've been there (maybe not in your shoes, but at the point where you feel like you are at the end of your rope). Getting in touch with that inner strength and power can be tricky if we're not listening to our inner(higher) self as to what we need to be doing.

Yes, listening is the key, and to listen you need to be able to quiet that strem of thought that is continually attempting to pull you under and drown you in worry, concern and what-if's.

For me, the answer was through meditation. Before you write it off, it really isn't as hard as it seems, especially if you start off slow. Even five minutes twice a day can do wonders to help you to clear your mind; to quiet it enough that you can start hearing what your higher (inner) self has to tell you; to get in touch with the inner source that never runs dry.

If you're interested in a very basic meditation that won't take up large amounts of your day, PM me, it's the method I used to teach both of my daughters to meditate when they were just 10 and 15 (they're now 15 & 20) and I'd be happy to share

Seiko-kishi I understand what your saying but if Debby's experiances are the same as mine, when the attacks happen there's absolutely no rhyme or reason to it. I can be plodding along quite merrily in life then "bam" and down I go like a sack of potatoes. Heart racing, mind racing and the whole world looks different. Strange, as if Im just not on the planet. I believe lack of minerals is a factor due to the depletion in our soil etc.

We are all healers, destroyers, educators, students, Devils….. GODS. Your actions will determine where you fit in at any giving moment. God is everything, and everything here we created. You just have to be who you are to truly understand and recognize this. Do you honestly know of any greater device/machine/ equipment better then the Human body and mind? It heals everything if you allow it. Nothing or no one can heal you…they just give you a deeper illusion of them/it healing you while your mind/body is doing all the work. Your body is your temple and everything in and around it is part of it’s design…what you do and don’t do. Also talk to your body, give thanks to it for doing all that it does…because so often it gets very little credit for its magnificence.

You have to ponder/meditate on this, go within and trust yourself. Cliché, perhaps…but this really can’t be explained any clearer because you yourself know your predicament better than anyone else. You already have the answers…but finding them may require some soul searching, some re-empowerment. You can’t literally rely on external solutions because everything external is a done deal… the results of our thinking. To change the external you have to create from the eternal internal (follow me). No one can solve your personal issues for you; they can only assist you in solving them. Problems cannot exist without the solutions, problems are there to help you grow, but you will not grow if you don’t face the problem. Remove the fear, fear is just a feeling to inform you of the unknown, to know… you have to interact. Once you interact, you’ll be able to discern and ultimately recognize what you knew all along and see for yourself that you just had a bit of amnesia. This is normal, maybe because the lesson wasn’t properly absorbed in the first place. (But that’s another topic).

Your thoughts will determine the outcome…so be optimistic when dwelling on the issues at hand. Negative outcomes come from negative thinking. Change your mind change your world and never let ANYONE place doubt on those ideas you feel will work. It might not work for others simply because they were not the thoughts of others. Their thoughts are suppose to CO-EXIST with yours. So be what you will and let the universe do what it do. =-)

Don’t worry about a thing, be constructive in who you are and allow the development to persist. The growing pains will settle in time, but the benefits can last forever…that’s only if you choose.

    Peace

    Hi Debby,
I want to echo Lisab's recommendation of Kundalini yoga. It's a great form of yoga. I would say it's best to go to a class at first but a good dvd will do. And yes spending more time outdoors is also great advice, either lying on the ground of having your bare feet on the ground for at least twenty minutes a day would probably do you a lot of good, everyone really. I've never had panic attacks but someone close to me gets them. I think it is hard for people who don't have them to understand. Sometimes it seems like it's a put on to other people. I told my family member to close her eyes when she gets them and take deep breaths. This helps her get through it pretty quickly. As soon as you close your eyes you start producing more alpha brain waves. When you have a panic attack your brain is in high beta so you want to slow that down. You probably already know that.

I think sometimes that when we are going through a rough time we make it harder on ourselves by judging our experience. We tell ourselves "I should'nt be feeling this way" because naturally it feels bad. But if you can surrender to how you are feeling without judgement you eliminate the added stress of resistance. You are feeling crummy, that's the reality, just be ok with it, don't fight it mentally. This doesn't mean you are saying I like feeling this way and I want it to continue. It just means you are not fighting with reality thereby making yourself feel worse. You find the strength/power in yourself by ironically surrendering and giving yourself space and allowing yourself to feel whatever you are feeling without judgement. Nothing can make you feel weaker than fighting with reality because reality always wins. When we can make reality our friend instead of our enemy we can recover our strength and then we find ourselves finding little solutions quite naturally and things can get better.

The one infallible constant in this life is change. You will get through this as you have other trials. Accept and love yourself totally. You will find your way.

worrying when 'open' is a natural thing. empathy extends to and integrates with others, so you end up with not just your own weight to carry, but that of others-combined. Do not be afraid to take a day off from worrying about the world, it will carry on fine.

But ...to be whom you are, you will naturally fall back to worrying about the world and trying to carry everyone's water, again....with respect to empathy. Empathy can and usually does evolve into compassion, which is where it will go, in the vast number of cases.

The point is carry it when you feel you need to..... and let it go when you need the rest.

As for panic attacks, they tend to be the harbinger of one's opening. The panic attacks are the line of defense of the body feeling the rising issue coming but not knowing what exactly it is. It has no form, it comes from the inside. Since the ego controls the body's basic function in an unrealized fashion, one's personal 'opening' is preceded by panic attacks--through the ego which is fearful of any potential for dissolution.

Let go of attachements, of wanting achieve this or that. And after you really did that - you can achieve what you wanted to achieve. It's a paradox. I want to cite the Dao De Jing:
If you want to become whole,
    let yourself be partial.
If you want to become straight,
    let yourself be crooked.
If you want to become full,
    let yourself be empty.
If you want to be reborn,
    let yourself die.
If you want to be given everything,
    give everything up.

    [...]

If you want to shrink something,
you must first allow it to expand.
If you want to get rid of something,
you must first allow it to flourish.
If you want to take something,
you must first allow it to be given.
This is called the subtle perception
    of the way things are.

    The soft overcomes the hard.
    The slow overcomes the fast.
Let your workings remain a mystery.
    Just show people the results.

Hey Debby, hope some of these practices are settling things for you a bit. I know EFT works for many people. Itʻs quick to do each day and easy to learn.

EMDR is also worth a try. It was developed for men returning from war with PTSD. Click here for EMDR vid

As you watch and follow instructions tell your self that you are letting go of___. Then another time, or half way through, you watch tell yourself that you are choosing to___ in itʻs place. Many find it helps balance the brain and reset neural pathways to the new choice if practiced for a few weeks.

I hope some of these give you some relief. The EMDR worked for a friend that was raped. She was afraid to go out by herself and having panic attacks too. It took her about a month, 4 visits, of professional EMDR therapy to recover. Itʻs different for everyone.

This particular vid helps me slow down my brain when I get busy and stressed and canʻt sleep. Take a look at some of the others and see if any appeal to you.

Best wishes for your good health!

Ah yes, anxiety and panic attacks are absolutely awful. I suffer from GAD so I have absolute sympathy with anybody else who is brought to heel by anxiety, but I've often found that it is the little things that provoke anxiety. When I had that abduction experience, I was so completely free from anxiety because I was indignant. I really didn't care what this alien thought of my lack of co-operation. It would be hypocritical in the extreme for me to give advice on how to cope with anxiety when I'm so useless at it myself, but anxiety is a fault in the fight-or-flight system (since people who suffer from anxiety are on a heightened state of alert all the time) and when it comes to fighting (as I interpreted standing in one's own power) that system is working perfectly well. In a job interview, fight-or-flight anxiety will be a great hindrance, but in a self-defence situation it's a great help.
