We shut the system down ~ Oct 28, 2011
For one day we peacefully protest
In a symbol that will be felt across the globe
We step out of the system and back into ourselves

Call in sick to work
Turn off all lights
Unplug all electrical devices
Abstain from using TV, radio, internet and phone
Abstain from making any purchase of any kind
Choose that morning to cancel any services you no longer need.

Do nothing that generates money into the system
We will send a message
We will unite

Most importantly for one day…
We live without distraction

Read a book
Meditate
Play
Sing
Dance
Create
Frolic in nature
Love

October 28, 2011

Step out of the system and get back to yourself
Shut it all down!
Spread the word!

A better world is possible love and light
Love and Light!

While that is a good plan for all the reasons discussed, as in stepping out of the system, will everyone still feel obliged to ask permission? To 'take the day off as a sick or vacation day? To pre-warn the system? Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose?

Regardless,with so many off sick, the system will feel the power of the people. imagine supermarkets not open due to lack of staff. same with the banks and so on...

Hi Darla, great thread.
Count me in, please count me in.
What a great idea to put a little fear going thier way for a change.
So many people are still not awake and will be fearful of loosing ther jobs, but every little protest is going to wake a few more and soon we are snowballing towards trampling the elite under our feet.
Can you imagine the look on thier faces, how dare those good little consumers take the day off without asking us if they were sick or not.
I mean, it got to the point of obsurdity a long time ago, and, now i truly think some people are startng to feel that ptw boot on their throat, it is about time we did something, anything.
What if everyone saved for a year (easy to say i know)and then we all took a month off, out of the system, ohhh, that might just put the power back to the people, but time is running short.
I suppose, no one knows whats going to happen if we do something against these symbiotic vampires, but i do know whats going to happen if we don,t stand up to these greed soaked half humans.
The occupy wall st protesters seem to be on the proper path, wish i could be there to join them in support.

But what about the nurses, emergency doctors, firefighters, ambulance??? what about the sick ??? now I'm confused....

So I get a public holiday that day, the universe is shining on me.
I'll be at the occupy section of the city raising the vibration people.
