I just wonder how many precious hours some people just lost posting endless threads and replying to topics related to this matter...

I wonder how many people were ridicule by their community and family, while talking about this Elenin doom event, as an absolute truth...

I wonder how many "pro-elenin doom" alternative media characters will apologize for this hoax, which was completely unfounded since the beginning...

Events like this will keep happening, and will gradually discredit the alternative media, until the point that, if something actually real regarding a huge global event comes to our knowledge, no one will believe it.

There are other hoaxsters to be debunk...take Kerry Cassidy, who has behemently promoted hoaxland and Ashayana Deane. Do you know where is Kerry Cassidy today? with her chum Ashayana in a US$ 10,000 all paid trip to India. Who says that disinformation does not pay?

I wish Kerry never did the video with Ashayana Deane. Is only because of Kerry's endorsement that I got myself tangled on that one. Of course I should have known better but I left myself being lead by Kerry's endorsement of the material. Oh well it can not be helped, at least I have my eyes wide open now and I am free from all the keylontic nonsciences

I did a calculation a little while ago, which was quite fun. If Planet Earth was a car bowling along a freeway, Elenin would be an extremely tiny fly -- 8 miles away. The idea that that distant fly (which has now died!) could ever have an effect on the car is pure fantasy. And if it were a messenger... it's not a very good one.

Other dates will come and go as well: Some folks in Vlcabamba are having an end-of-the-world party on 28 October, to which I suggested holding a wait-a-minute-it's-not-the-end-of-the-world-after-all party the day after.

And on 12 November, we'll all wake up realizing that the world's suffering population is all still here, and that nothing remarkable at all has occurred. One of these days we will learn... and then all get to work. What we've been witnessing is Elitist New Age Escapism, which is almost as damaging a distorted belief system as any other religion.

Good for them. Maybe they're just following that old maxim, "live like you'll die tomorrow, plan like you'll forever". How many of these people who are going to this end of the world party have had their electricity disconnected? lol

I think there's something off with your post... I remember very well when the interview came out, you were already a great fan of Ashayana and one her best defenders, many people told you, including me that her stuff wasn't right etc. etc and you were very upset with everybody who questioned the material. Not that matters now but please don't say you were into it because of Kerry, you were into it way before that.

Now, as I understand, Kerry didn't endorsed the material then, she did an interview, on the other hand you endorsed the material giving links all the time to AD web site and talking about how her material had helped you, etc. etc.

You can argue that Kerry is endorsing AD now because of their trip together but it wasn't the case then.

Anyway, I feel all of us have been lead to many things because we want to believe and I'm not outside of it. When the Blossom Goodchild date came out I told many people about it because I really believed it was possible, after that I learned my lesson and now my position is "wait and see". Same with Elenin, I never believed a bit of it for the same reasons Bill explain.

So if a CME were to decide to happen and be a strong one, then it could follow the debris path, this charge differential path. For it is the weak point - now. Like a shotgun barrel aimed right at us.

If such a small object can create such a big electrical problem, this must hold true for all other small objects that pass through our solar system. Taking this into account... why would Elenin be special in any way?

It is in the ecliptic, or the 'plane' of the solar system. It is a potential, nothing else.

This... the trail of debris, or charge change trail ....is right in line with us, between us and the sun. Like a big fat gas cloud of charge change differential, a long string for a 'lightning strike' to flow down.

The danger period is now, regarding peak conditions.

This, at the same time this other disturbance comes along, this other one the 2005 YU55.

I'm not saying anything will happen, it is just that...regarding potential or plausibility, the peak conditions are --now.

However, the interesting bit is that charge change can also change...frequency.

Or, carrier waves in a pressured state... a pressure differential, a change in frequency can be an aspect of change - an alteration- in a pressured system where change (forced) takes place.

Bill's done physics before and he might think it has merit as potentials go. I work in these areas, specifically.
