Nice Avatar, Playdo!...Especially on the festival of Lights!

Yay Lettherebelight my house is lit up like a christmas tree tonight in celebration of festival of lights. My friend is Hindu so I promised Id join in. Candles and tree lights everywhere tonight!

Internet was down again this morning.
So I went and started making small shell
and crystal charm bracelets for little girls.
This mornings walk was very brisk.
We walked past a shopping center
where I used to own a jewelry and beach gear shop, many years ago.
It then carried on with the old name.
Now it's empty, but the old sign is still up.
Feeling tempted to start over again.
I would do second hand stuff, high end.
But business has dropped and yet the rents have gone up,
plus I have a commitment in Costa Rica.

Greedy landlords are trying to catch some young hopeful
who doesn't know yet
how those rents can kill a business,
especially during the off season
when no one walks in the door for days.
And many of the rich are feeling poor right now,
even when they still have millions in assets.
We have to appeal to them to go on consuming,
just so people can put food on the table.

I'm supplying other retailers now, in an even better location.
I don't get to see any money until they make a sale.
Which is fair enough, as long as she is honest and pays me.
So far she has been great.

What you said about persuasion...it's not up to me. That's the job of the fashion item itself, plus the way it is displayed.
Making merchandise that is totally irresistible is what fashion is all about...then the ladies have no other option but to buy.
And in the process I can have some fun making the stuff.

Quite partial to piano myself,
sometimes i can achieve altered states via listening to certain pieces.
Even better than drumming sometimes.
One of these days im going to own a piano again so i can play like i used to.

My favs, Yann Tiersen, Phillip Glass, hmm some more can't think right now....

This is my current fav piano track.
I watched the movie last week its pretty "out there".
I read a review of it afterwards, and Sean Penn who was in it,
said that he still didn't know what it was about, lol!!

Thank you for the beautiful piano vid, and for noticing I was at 666. I actually like that number!
I love a piano, too, and would love to have one again. My mother-in-law gave me an old upright many years ago, a beautiful antique with carved woodwork. It needed some TLC and I found a tuner who was able to bring it back to its glory. I never re-finished the wood but always wanted to get it done. On one of our moves, I was convinced that the piano needed to go, and sold it to a neighbor who did refinish it and plays often so it's in a good home. But I still covet that piano, even though I don't play that well ... having a piano in the house helps make it a home.

I hope you get a wonderful piano soon, Astrid!

Here's what's happening here...and now...

Our electric coop came to our door and said...we're interrupting power for a moment to install smart meter...we said no thanks, our analog meter is working fine, we don't want 3 watts of em radiation permeating our home endlessly,....their response was..."We're not asking permission, we're telling you we're installing it....I again refused and asked them not to...he walked to the side of the house, installed it, and left...
I can't express the dismay and helplessness we are feeling...we citizens have lost all control over the corporatism (fascism) that pervades all America now....

I can sympathize, totally. This is why all sorts of efforts have to be made
to try and bypass the grid, and become self sufficient.

Mike Reynolds, the guy who started the Earthships project in the seventies
has been battling all these years.
He spent a decade in the courts fighting back at municipalities
who insisted he had to be connected to water and electricity supplies.
I'm going to look at that documentary again.
Let me go and find it.

I just had *two* drones fly by my house, or the one circled around a second time. Surely it's just training maneuvers, not connection to lil' ol' me. Ha! It has happened three times when I've addressed a particular forum member, I am observing, five or six times, overall. I'm losing count. The first time it was an hour and a half later, then closer to an hour, and now close to a half hour for our coincidental response time. It may just be the universe saying something. Hmmmm.

I can think of only one forum member here, in this thread that would cause governmental manifestations to appear shortly thereafter. We are fortunate to have him as long as you are unfazed by "visitations" in exchanges for friendly interdimensional repartee.

I shall remain unfazed until they come a knockin down my door. And, then it might be they who are fazed by an angry mama bear protecting her cub. Like all good rednecks should, we are, shall we say, not defenseless.

I like that Otis Spann clip, Carmody. He's from Jackson, MS, my birthplace, and Pinetop's from Belzoni, Mississippi, which I travel to for business. I dig the Professor and Monk, too. Have you ever heard of R.L.Burnside? I use to watch him live in Oxford, MS, at Proud Larry's, a bar/venue in town. One of a kind. Sadly, he died a few years ago. Hello everyone...! I've done the disappearing act on you guys again but no worries all good. I actually have some good news.

I've found myself a little job! *cheers* First time waitressing in a steakhouse rest...so I have so much more to worry about, haha - but at least its OTHER stuff.

Ahh..if anyone is familiar with the tv show, TRUE BLOOD? The lights are low and 'intimate' like in that bar and I feel a little bit like Sookie - and I keep waiting for my very own vampire to walk in. Seeing as Halloween is close I shouldn't be THAT disappointed, right? Bless you if anyone can understand me! And if you can't, sorry...hormones are a funny thing lmao!

Things seem to be getting on track for me - then in Jan I will be starting my Beauty Therapist course that goes on for a year and bit....and I can't wait to get started! As soon as I graduate I want to get myself on a cruise ship for at least 6 months and get a nice work and holiday all in one...traveling far away from here.

But yes! PLANS! Finally! I feel free and able to do something for me...I am so happy! But there you go, I wanted to update you guys so no one worries where I ran off too...
