Possible 2 Suns?

This link shows a possible super nova in the Orion consolation. The star Betelguese is going o super nova and will be as bright if not brighter than our sun. We might have 24hrs day time from this in 2021?





i posted 2 pictures from Google sky of the Orion. The star that they are talking about is his left shoulder star. When looking at it up close you see rings and bright light. The picture was taken in 2007.

Just an FYI, as you can see from the link this story ran in January and despite the 2012 headline contains the disclaimer "And while the celestial event could take place before the end of 2012, it may not occur for a million years."

The article you refer to (from January 21) is a feed of the Huffington post article that is based on the news.com.au article from 19th January that was discussed here:
Tatooine's twin suns - coming to a planet near you just as soon as Betelgeuse explode.

Even Fox News has an article on it!
There again news.com.au, like Fox, is a member of News Corp...

Now news.discovery.com produced an article titled 'DON'T PANIC! BETELGEUSE WON'T EXPLODE IN 2012' which dispelled many of the rumours spread by incorrect reporting, mis-quotes and headline seeking tabloid behaviour:

Although Carter does provide quotes, he does not say that due to a Betelgeuse supernova "we'd see a second sun", "there may also be no night" or "the Star Wars-esque scenario could happen by 2012." These statements were made by the reporter, not the interviewee (as far as we can tell from the article).
But nowhere in the News.com.au article does it say anything about neutrinos being "beneficial to Earth," the Huffington Post made that part up

The Huffington Post later posted two updates to the story clarifying their errors.

Also news.com.au posted a follow-up article on the 22nd January titled "Betelgeuse 'not likely to explode in 2012'" that said:

THE super-giant red star Betelgeuse in the constellation of Orion is destined to explode, but maybe not next year as some recent news reports have suggested and will not be as bright as some predicted...
But there's no reason to think Betelgeuse will blow in 2012, Mr Plait explained, or even this millennium...
He said that while it will shine with "incredible brightness" it would be more like a full moon, rather than Tatooine's second sun.

i have read some where stating that the rings of saturn have been flipped 90 degrees. does anyone have any proof or not on this???

People all around the world have been photographing two suns in the sunset and sunrise for a couple of years now - the second sun appearing to be getting larger (altho a few months ago, that may have been Venus which was quite close to the sun and very bright).
