I did not know that. I too was reading nuances in the term "strange structures" but now I'm rethinking it. It's odd for PR people to allow such a phrase in a press release specifically because of the potential misinterpretation, but maybe this is just one of those cases where lingo slips through to the general public without PR rephrasing.Posted by Cartomancer (here)
There is an entire sub-discipline of geology called structural geology. Geology does use the term "structure" to describe natural formations.
Or not...who knows, really?
