Perhaps I wasn't given the chance because as was said by a few here, the job wasn't for my highest good. It certainly seemed a worthy venture (helping people to heal from physical illness and trauma) but perhaps there is something even more worthy.

Hang in there nearing. I know how you feel. My husband lost his job last year and was out of work for 4 months. We used up all of our savings trying to stay a float. Luckily we had no debt except for our mortgage. We ended up having to rent our home because we couldn't sell it. Then we moved in with my parents. It has been a tough year.

When I pulled cards for you they really did show that things were going to start changing. Whatever job comes your way the cards indicated that there would be either a creative aspect to the work or it was work that you would find exciting or stimulating. You seem to have a special gift communicating with older folks. Have you looked into work at a home or hospice? Or even something like Meals on Wheels. Psychically, I just keep getting that you have a gift for making people feel calm and cared for but, that you especially connect with the elderly. Again, hope the info is helpful. Keep postitive. Change has to happen for something better to take it's place.

Oh my goodness, angellight, moving back in with the parents would be a nightmare for me. I sympathize with your situation enormously. I'll add you to my prayers.

Thank you for the reading. Yes, I do have a soft spot for the elderly and I do have an ability to calm people. I am a little upset about the interview going south but I am not giving up. There are a couple more openings that I haven't applied for because they didn't seem as good a fit as the others, but I am going to inquire about them as they may be quite different from what I have in my head.

I have already emailed the liaison back about one of the newer openings. I'll keep you all updated. Who knows, maybe this is the one that fits me.

The dowsing result I get is that whether you or not you'll get the next job that comes up is very much up to you. The power is going to be in your own hands for that one. Maybe you should make a list of all your strongest qualities and practise not being embarrassed about bragging about them up front, because that's what works at a job interview.

Incidentally, I believe that anybody can dowse accurately provided they fully ground themselves first and they protect themselves (and the physical space they are in) from any interfering energies. One good way to get grounded is through vigorous exercise, or through a salt bath, or time spent with Nature. Or you can put the palm of your hand over your second chakra (about 2 inches below your belly button), or connect your tailbone energetically to the earth (and hence ultimately to Gaia).

I 'tapped in' to you before I heard the potential job fell through...and kept seeing you tidying things up around the house, almost a nervous energy. Have you been cleaning and tidying things around you in an attempt to create some peace and order? I also kept seeing something blue & yellow with flowers...? (Please be patient with the nonsense, as I find the so-called trivial information is just confirming I'm energetically tapping into the right person/place )

With that, I see you breathing a sigh of relief (as in you are going to get a job) and even though it's something that's never really been on your radar, you will LOVE it. It will be divine. It feels 'warm' when this occurs and I see plants/flowers. I don't know if this means it will occur when the weather turns OR you live in a warm climate (OR you will be working in a nursery type setting...?)

Dear Nearing,
You can do your own divination by getting a pendulum. It doesn't have to be a regular pendulum. A chain with a heavy medal or pendant will do, especially if this is something that only you wear and it has your energy.
Hold the designated pendulum in your dominant hand. Let it rest in a neutral position (not moving) and then ask the pendulum:
- show me "yes" - the pendulum will swing from one side to another, then ask
- show me "no" - the pendulum will swing in the opposite direction
- then ask the pendulum a question that you know will give a "yes" answer, such as "is my name...? (your real name) and it will swing in the "yes" direction
- then ask a question that you know will give a "no" answer, such as "am I a horse (cat, mouse, etc) and it will swing in the "no" direction
Afterwards ask any question you want, but it has to be a question that requires a "yes" or "no" answer.

I have found this to be the simplest, most effective, least ambiguous form of divination that anyone can do for themselves.
