Doesn't it still have to go through the House? Either way this is a terrible thing. These Senators are so out of touch with what is going on and what the people want. Either they have sold out to the highest degree or they are privy to something so terrible that they think this is needed. It is just ugly no matter what the reasons are. I know that polls can be flawed, but I found a very interesting Pew survey which suggested that our leaders and people in the Silent/Boomer generations are more inclined for military action to solve the "problem of terrorism" than those in the Gen X/Millennial generations. Guess who votes more? Older people. And while there is a remote possibility that they might "know something we don't" - a lot of us are really skeptical about anything our government says nowadays. They lost all credibility after Iraq and I'm still wondering why we were in Libya and Uganda....and now our government is just waiting for an opportunity to go into Iran. Ugh! I'm so disgusted - even more so because this is all happening under a Democratic president. I barely watch the news now because it's all just a bunch of BS. I'm not going to sit and watch people deliberately lie to me.

Hey I'm 50 and I think in a large way you are right. But I have to say I said the exact same thing about the older generation too. A lot of the people in the group you describe are from the sixties and the Viet-Nam war era. There is a large percentage of those folks that are agreeing with most of what you are saying. They were at least exposed to different ways of thought during that era. If anything things went kind of backwards in the eighties and have never really recovered. Don't forget there are lots of us out there who have been thinking and raising awareness about these issues for a long time. Really what we are complaining about is a Juggernaut that has been in operation for thousands of years so we should expand our scope. Thanks.

Whoo-o-o-gh doggies! Much of that information wasn't available to know. I hope you don't watch television. I hope you never answer a tele-sales phone call or work in anything you find offensive, just trying to fed your children. And I don't mean a horrible place, like an ammo shop, or whatever, I'm talking about the job you will do for a majority of the rest of your life, in order to exist.

I am an American, I never gave the OK to anyone to bomb the crap out of any country. I never voted a President into office to do anything like that, nor do I support big corporations going into other countries to plunder resources and people. Consider your own government when they open the doors to foreign trade. If a country treats the business well, the business will stay, just as long as they are getting the treatment. I don't go around singing "We'll put a boot in your arse, it's the American way."

I am willing to say, no I haven't been privvy to everything my government has done since WWII, let alone during WWII. I'm wagering you can make the same claim about your country.

The government in my country is corrupt, and we are finding out just how corrupt right now. This is a deep pit, in my honest opinion. I see this law comes at an opportune time, as we find insider trading is rampant in DC. But so is every fricking commerical that tries to stuff it's product down our collective throats. Change is coming. The label "Conspiracy Theorist", has become a worn and tattered accusation for many a jagged, and hard won piece of information.

i'm talking about americans in general and none in particular. there are smart people around the globe and dumb ones as well, but they all seem to carry this thing called the perception of right and wrong. and governments around the globe actually respect international treaties. i bet 99% of americans do not even know that that you have a military base on Portugal. and i bet my left hand that even the most ignorant of Americans even knowing it's dumber than anyone else in your country says and thinks it is smarter and better informed than anyone in the so-called normal world.

What's this "you" crap? Most americans dont like this testing new weapons on other countries. We dont vote for any wars. There is suppose to be a "declaration of war" in the USA before this country goes to war but there never is. Only congress thru the constitution can vote this into effect. The people dont have a say in it. That "you" that you like to use should be the "us government".. The USA isnt the only country, you better include the UK and several others.. Thank you for your insights Guaxini. I am a firm believer that before our soul energy chooses to come to Earth and inhabit a body for learning purposes, we choose not only our gender, race, and parents, but the country we are born in as well. All of these choices (and many not mentioned) factor into our evolution as an independent soul as well as a species. With that said, I am of the strong belief that a very high percentage of us who chose to be part of the Avalon community are awakened to the fact that change is needed and can/will occur through us. Those of us who chose to incarnate in the USA are planted here for a reason.... to assist in the awakening of mass consciousness to elevate the planet to a new/higher level. I do understand your frustration, but please take into consideration we may be volunteer souls, choosing to plant ourselves in this country to make a difference.

You've actually helped me answer a few of my own personal questions so many thanks. Although I was born in the UK, I knew from an early age (probably before I even hit double digits) that I had to get out of the country. I had a perfect family and very happy childhood but it was the broader sense that I didn't like the 'control' in the UK. Something just wasn't right for me. And I knew that I would live in Canada for some reason. It just made sense. There are more details but your post really hit home so to speak in terms of our purpose. Might not have figured out everything yet but a few more pieces to this very big puzzle fell into place

I also want to mention that I can understand and appreciate the same pain as Guaxini in terms of the terrible cost of life we've seen in the middle east. It's heartbreaking and senseless.

And yes, the mainstream media has put out a very controlled message, in the US and UK and other parts of the world. This is being done by the powers that be and feeds into their agenda and control of the masses. At this moment in time I personally feel it's very important to watch the mainstream media. To understand what their motivations are and what their next steps will be. It's quite interesting to see how they're trying to manipulate the public. And unfortunately succeeding for the most part. But I cannot generalize; I have wonderful friends all across the globe that I care for dearly. Some are awake and most aren't but they are all bright lights in this world.

It's easy to be angry and I've been there too. Not angry against a particular country. But angry by what is so obvious and clearly happening in front of our very eyes goes unquestioned. Angry that they can get away with such atrocities and absolute evil. It's very easy to get sucked down into that level of despair.

Hoping that we don't need to go to the very edge of destruction to realize who and what we are and how we fit into this universe...

Well, there were quite a few of us that didn't agree to go to war. And the guys who did, had no say in whether we did or we didn't. The people don't make any decisions there, and I can't think of many places where
the people do make the decisions, or are honestly represented.
I've been to a lot of very lazy and very self-serving places.

If ordinary Americans had known more than the 'be afraid' pap they were fed, they would have disagreed.

I was in NY from 9/12 for a couple of weeks just helping out the guys doing the nasty work, and the initial polarization in that city was about community and brotherhood and forgiveness.

That's what you want. That's what a city needs to learn.

The fear and anger was there as well, but it was confused fear and anger. Retribution was planted, and cultured thereafter.

The character of the American people if you're so inclined to generalize, is alive and healthy, and very near the surface.
It's not a 'potential', it's just asleep.

Thanks to all for adding to this thread. I was curious as to how PA members would respond to this unconstitutional bull**** the govt is using against it's people. Technically all of us here on PA could be rounded up and made to disssapear by this new law. Seems to me TPTB have just made it legal for themselves to become NAZI STORMTROOPERS !! My brother in law( electrical contractor) has been wiring up FEMA prisons in upstate NY for quite some time now and they are ready for use now. We are all being monitored here on PA by TPTB and all our posts can be found on google too. With that being said outloud now I know I will be targeted as enemy combatant. I refuse to be taken away and choose to go down in a hail of gunfire. Personally I choose to die on my feet rather than living on my knees. I have a honorable discharge and training and considered a threat to TPTB. I have a strong gut feeling that they are planning to kill Ron Paul to cause people to riot and give them the reason to put Marshall Law into action. I'm all for a non-violent solution but that time has come and gone now that they have their hands around our throats and are starting to squeeze pretty damn hard for the kill.
