I will allow for hiring a thief to tell you how thieves think. He comes from a group existentially opposed to the RP world view. Perhaps Fein is there to guide him away from hot button issues, or phrases/words, that will call out the thin skinned trolls like Abe Foxman and whatever orifice is oozing the AIPAC vitriol.

Attack and make someone defend themselves knowing that some people will only hear and believe the attack and then go and vomit this slop to friends who don't even follow news or politics. Why all the political propaganda? This is what puzzles me...Without war what is the purpose of a military? And by implication what is the purpose of the soldier? You're flubbing things a little here. How things are presented is another way of manipulating facts without touching the facts.

No, I was just trying to point out what I see as the hypocrisy and dishonesty of these youtube blurbs...They just ooze subtle manipulation. That's my opinion, of course...but isn't what I posted true? Of course, I did leave unwritten some of what was implied by the message. But why are those vital points always left out? To avoid deliberate lying? Consider the numbers, spelled people, that would be impacted by realization of this political goal. It's simply untenable.

Incidentally, I did produce avionic software for the F-16 but trust me, I'm not an advocate of war...only sanity.

I think you may be over thinking this one. The answer to your question is more simple than that. Simply, almost all the kids that join the military have been bamboozled into it. They have been sold a bill of goods, a vat of "snake-oil". When I was in high-school, the military recruits came along and pitched all the kids. It was all very glamourous. Like drug salesmen on the corner, the recruiters often hang out in the parking lots of pool halls, busy arcades, and shopping malls where teens hang out. They are relentless, and they are predators looking to pounce. The kids are prey. And their sales pitch is powerful, especially to kids without definitive prospects for the future.

These days, there are even subtler psyops techniques that nudge these kids into "volunteering". Playstation video games that glamourize and mimic military combat, etc. Deep down the kids that sign on the dotted line may justify their decisions by beholding the honor of defending their country -- but at the age they enlist, with the limited experience they have, how can they possibly know what their country even is? Or whose interests they are defending? It's all propaganda. It's all indoctrination. It's all a scam. In short, they have all been led down a garden path. This is why they become adverse to the military later on. If you sell your soul to the devil not fully knowing what you are doing, you will likely become adverse to the cajoler once you wise up and come to the epiphany that you've been had.

They finally did a feature on Ron Paul last night on CBS news. At the end of the interview of course they spoke to a woman who said she supported him but was afraid it would be a "wasted vote." The night before the news announcer mentioned Newt Ginrich and "the next nearest contender" never mentioning Paul. Bogus.

WASTED VOTE = This is how they convince many to not vote for who they truly believe in. DO NOT fall for this ploy, yet again.

Good question - and the answer is NO, not really. Nor do I believe the votes are counted honestly. But what do we do - roll over and say: We can't win because we can't beat them on the streets, they have bigger and more powerful weapons and don't hesitate to use them on us. We can't beat them in the polls because they only put up candidates that are already in their pockets.

I wasn't inferring that Ron Paul would win if we voted for him, as I don't think that's possible. And frankly, if the miracle happened and he did win, IMO his hands would be tied once he got into office.

I guess my point was that if we are going to participate, we should do what are hearts are telling us rather than what TPTb are trying to manipulate us to do. At least make them work at winning and in doing so they show each time they show their hands more readily and hopefully help to wake more people up.

To address the second part of your question, Ron Paul's vision for America does not intend to do away with the soldier, but for the soldier to realize his true purpose, i.e., that reason why he or she thinks they are joining in the first place. Every kid who joins the military does so because they have been brainwashed into thinking they are defending their country, their tribe, their women and children. That is the purpose of the soldier on the surface of things. These are honorable traits for human creatures. This is why we all agree, for the most part, that the military is an honorable profession. This is also Ron Paul's vision of the military.

What is dishonorable is when that honor is exploited by special interests via mind control and mass manipulation, to rape, pillage, and wage violence, death and destruction against other cultures, tribes, and against other innocent human beings. And yes, this type of soldier will go away if Ron Paul achieves his vision.

However, there is a difference between these two types of soldiers. The former has been rarely called upon, per the annals of American history, while the latter is as common to the human condition as copulating rabbits.
