I like Ron Paul and if I was an American I'd be supporting him all the way.

However, have a look at THIS, and have a think. This video might even have been made to help to destroy RP's following. I don't know but it sure mimicks him a tad suspiciously.

I'd also like to see how things would change if nobody paid tax but instead used the money to buy physical precious metals which were then used to replace cash. Got to try something different if you want a different outcome.
Hmmm. That sounds kinda like the gold standard to me. Not that I don't think it's a good idea...
What are your views on the gold standard?

Hmmm. That sounds kinda like the gold standard to me. Not that I don't think it's a good idea...

What are your views on the gold standard?
This is an expansive subject, but for sake of brevity I will outline an abridged summary of my views:

Gold (and other precious metals) is the currency of a free people. Fiat is the currency of overlords and serfs. It's really that simple. It's nearly impossible for an enslaving power to centralize, manipulate, and control a money supply of precious metals (and thus control a people) when real money is decentralized and in the pockets of all the serfs and plebs. A tangent means of exchange, with intrinsic value, empowers the people.

For millennia Kings, Tyrants, and States have understood this dynamic and have sought ways to usurp the money supply from the people. This why TBTB abhor gold and silver, and likely why most of us subtly influenced by the controlling agenda have such a negative view of gold.

The other important issue is the gold standard is also incompatible with government deficit spending, Imperialism, aggressive warfare, and the mechanisms that allow for shadow governments and even the breakaway civilization....

The arguments against gold, as a monetary system, are typically a) there isn't enough gold in the world to back the world's economic production and b) the gold standard creates a potential for hoarding, or "cornering" the money supply, as a means of monopoly or control, or at the very least, as a means to create economic havoc and an economy of "haves" (those who have gold) and "have nots" (those who do not have gold). Both these arguments are light in substance, however, and are advanced by those who do not fully grasp the economic reality. A money supply backed by gold promotes socieoeconomic conditions conducive to a free society and widespread prosperity. This is not to say there are not dangers when a society becomes too decadent and too prosperous, which could be an argument against the gold standard, but these are philosophical issues and an entirely different type of criticism against gold.

At this point I have what almost thirty years of observing the tricks they employ. And I had the same opportunity to observe this as anyone else in America...We are allowing the same thing to happen over and gain , they may have switched out the actors and the stage lights since the last time but the same old **** is happening the same as it did when I first entered the voting box nearly ...well almost thirty years ago.

I began ignoring this whole thing a long time ago until I heard someone burbling earnestly on about Herman Cain's plague of sexual accusation as undeserved.

So I check out Herman Cain and find the most unimaginabley appalling idiot ever , whose supporters claim he got an unfair rap by 'viscious liberals who were bent on besmirching his 'good' name with sexual debaucherie'.

Okay when did that last happen, and rather recently?

And how liberal are they if they are employing that old conservative rag of Presidency based on sexaulity. As far as I know we've had few virgins in office on either side. Drop the freakin pretense and ride the chastity ticket here.

If the conservatives and now the liberals (and goodish portion of the voting base) were not so sexually obsessed this wouldn't matter. And how does sex factor into government ?(shrugs helplessly) . Because we the people have some how asserted this was so and so they go. They have always manipulated our emotions. And our emotions are ...manipulating them to the point whether to go up or down...(go down, get it..?he he he )

And the liberals are as fair predictable as the conservatives. Knowing the conservatives are notorious for voting in any old actor, idiot or those just suffering from dementia (that is notoriously becoming a pattern--GWB, Reagan. Ford--)sending a clear message that we are so far gone we don't even need to pretend to put intellgient orginal thinking folks in office anymore...how quickly we forgot that whatsis potato guy too.......Quayle? Didn't it really tell us something as a nation that someone somewhere decided we didn't need a leader but an actor to keep us entertained while some shadowy somebodies could go on with assuming even further control of the country while we are listening to the White House version of GE theater.

Sexual escapades aside, Hermain Cain sounded like an outright idiot and knowing this was not going to prevent him from achieving office, it never has in the past anyway, the liberals are forced to take the sexual debauchery ticket of all things. If turn about is fair play and someone makes objection to that I'd have to shrug helplessly again and remind us of Gary Hart.

Nothing new under the sun here.

I don't think Ron Paul is optimal but he could stop this chain doing the same fecking thing over and again.

If he's still a virgin that is.

Im finding more and more that Ron Paul is the Man.In his own words he said that it should be a "litmus test" for war that would they send thier own. The fact that he is getting most of his support from the alternative media really has to say a lot here.Another great fact is that the younger peolpe are for him. Something we all want is to rid senate of all the old policy makers. Its going to be there world why would they want this old goverment that they no is corruped and doesnt work. I just get this great feeling from him everytime he speaks and everytime one of his running mates say "im with Paul on this".This i feel is the start of a great shift in Washington that we all have been wanting since kennedy.
I must be suffering from battered voter syndrome after the debacle of Obama. I am aware of some need to play nice with others but what he has done is offer his hindquarters to the devil and hasn't had a chance to pull his pants back up since.

If insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over (vote) and expect different results, then I wish to choose the path of sanity. Herd mentality is a (the?) big problem with the situation we find ourselves in today. The election is 10+ months in the future still. I will act in the now....then.

The two things I like most about Ron Paul is that he wants America to stop harassing and murdering people in the rest of the world and that he wants to stop the war on drugs. I think getting rid of the Fed is a good plan but I don't know whether it can be accomplished.

Is there a war on drugs? Addicts in my town are still shooting up. Afghanistan still grows poppies despite the UK taxpayer being charged 10's (maybe 100's) of millions of pounds for the crop to be destroyed. Does anybody know what the US taxpayer is being charged (maybe the US GAO know from the checks that they do)?

Yes, the war on drugs is just as successful as the war on poverty. Both empower the government to run our lives, steal our liberties, and justify it all through security, safety, and caring for those unable to care for themselves. (insert disgusted look on my face)

I just posted a new thread dealing with proven conspiracies. This one which I am about to share deals exactly with the things RP talks about that create "blow back".

Quote 21. The CIA Assassinates A Lot of People (Church Committee)

The Church Committee is the common term referring to the United States Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities, a U.S. Senate committee chaired by Senator Frank Church in 1975.

A precursor to the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the committee investigated intelligence gathering for illegality by the CIA and FBI after certain activities had been revealed by the Watergate affair.

The Committee uncovered, among many other things, that the CIA had violated its charter to perform only gathering of intelligence.

For example, the assassinations of Allende in Chile and Mossadegh in Iran. Assassinations against Central and South American leaders and revolutionaries, as well as Africa, Middle East and East Asia. The list was tremendous.

They even declassified a “Heart Attack Gun” the Agency had made for the use of killing someone without it being detected. Cancer, car accidents, skiing accidents, suicide, boating accidents, heart attacks, and just plain being shot were common assassination methods. The hearings, although recorded in full in congressional record, the mainstream media and official policies, is still largely not taught in American schools on recent history.

The American public still has no idea this was ever actually confirmed or even took place. It is common for people to still refer to any of these assassinations as a joke or made up conspiracy.

    Watch "Secrets of The CIA".

We continue to do such actions, we use our military in pre-emptive wars and kills over a million Iraqis. How the hell would you feel if some country just marked into your state and started killing Americans, patrolling your streets, harassing your neighbors and family? I would imagine if your government would not put a stop to it, that you might take up arms and practice gorilla warfare, and you would be called a terrorist. We have done this for decades, and terrorist organizations have used these actions as their biggest recruiting tool.

Iran is NOT a thread to us militarily.

People have been voting for hundreds of years for a fairer distribution of wealth (and often their party gets into power). Rarely, if ever, is wealth more fairly distributed though. Voting looks to me to be a relinquishment of an individuals power. Maybe if people want something they have never had before they will have to do something they have never done before.
