Cottage Rose, that pic says "strength" to me. I'm feeling like "sensitive" is actually "fragile"....need a way to beef up on the inside so I can feel like that!

Here and now I am reflecting on how fortunate I am to have no tales of dysfunction to share or be grumpy about. Wife gave me an opportunity or two but I passed on them. She handled herself fairly well also. I used to bring books to read to holiday functions. I was told I was rude but I simply replied if anything worth saying got said I'd join in. Besides, I was always out of 'tune' most of the time anyway. My reputation with words always kept things from getting too far. I've had some rough times as an adult, to be sure, but Groundhog Day scenarios are not my thing.

I am sending sweet thoughts to all and special thought packages to those who need them. I hope you know who you are. Hint: I have a lot of them.

A bit classier than Clint Eastwood ... must admit ...

Before I knew my Dad was ill, I had stopped by to drop something off for my Mom. On hugging him, I 'smelled death'. I had heard of people smelling death before, but I had not experienced it until that moment. Considering the fact that I have lost most of my sense of smell, it struck me as weird that not only could I detect the scent but that I knew what it was. Four months later, he passed.

Shortly after his passing, I started smelling flowers...a sweet but clean, not cloying, scent...and could 'feel' him near. When I mentioned this to a dear friend, she told me "When you smell flowers, someone who has passed is close...the flower scent is their gift to you".
My husband also once smelled flowers the day his uncle died. That was the first and only time I had heard of that.

    Anyway, big crisis:

He didn't give her the password to his computer, nor Internet banking.
She has no clue about the money matters, he took that knowledge to his grave.
Friends had to collect cash to pay for the funeral tomorrow.
Sorry about my rant about religion/Christians -it's just how would they know if I had God/Goddess in my life or not?

It's hard enough to deal with the loss of someone you love -throwing in the red tape with it all can make it harder to go through your own process. Your friend is lucky to have people to support her and give.

When someone died our family would make food and take it to the family and their friends.

Several times in my life I have had the experience of smelling floral scents around me. One time I smelled patchouli oil around me for about 4 days. I called a friend up and told him about it and he said that's strange my dad use to wear patchouli oil -he passed on years ago.

When we got home from visiting family overnight for the holiday, we discovered that Ishtar (my youngest, very fluffy black and white cat) had gotten into some fly paper while we were gone. She had extricated herself from the paper, but she was still a sticky mess. Her usual high and mighty attitude was much diminished. So, I got to spend a few hours holding her down, cutting all the sticky out of her fur with a pair of scissors, as the label on the paper recommended removing the adhesive with paint thinner.

As of 5 am this morning, she was back to being full of badness, I am happy to report, in spite of her new punk rock hairdo.

As for the spiritual activities of recent days, I have had the experience of the three lower chakras opening, balancing, and energizing almost by themselves. It started as a little tickle about a week before the last lunar eclipse, and it has increased daily. This has had an apparent side effect of other people around me experiencing an increased sensitivity to spiritual energies, even amongst the most closed, "christian-minded", of my own family. It's been an amazing past few days.

Also, I would like to report that one gift from an aunt was a gift certificate to the gift shop of the MS Petrified Forest. I had not been to see them in a while, so I was glad to have an excuse to visit the shop. They had loads of new merchendise the majority of which was what would be sought after in metaphysical circles. As I made my circuit around the store, my breath caught a little as I approached a particular glass case. Looking in, I spotted a bag labeled "Azez Quartz -Hiddenite, NC" Really? A bag of about twenty to thirty pieces of various sizes, for forty bucks, which was exactly the amount of my gift certificate. (cue in heavenly light show and angelic choir noises) I don't know about the truth of the myth associated with this particular quartz material, but I can safely say "wow. Just freaking wow" it is, indeed, some amazingly powerful stuff.

I am sitting here on my couch, cross-legged with the laptop in front of me. Still full of food from the last two days. Thinking about life/death a lot as we have just had a passing in our family. The phone is ringing constantly as we have lots of relatives and friends. Lots of love, happiness and feelings of release floating around at the moment, so enjoying that. As usual, there is a lot of change at this time of year, lots of new hopes developing, plans for the future, and encouragement and support for everyone.

I am just thankful to be around now, with such great company. Happy holidays everyone!

Here and now, still at my parent's house with them and my kids and wife. It has been a very productive and pleasant time. Most of my time has been spent working on the tractor, playing in the woods, etc. No drama, everyone healthy, except for a nephew's staph infection, who was thusly quarantined. Last time we were here, my brother and I had a visitation experience. I'll have to retell that experience later when I have more time. It was exceptionally odd.

Anyhow, blessings, health, and joy to all for the today and the upcoming new year!

Is anyone else feeling weird lately?

I've been ...disjointed and feeling upset. My relationships with friends and family feel on edge, and I get the feeling that they're experiencing it too.

I just feel restless and like I'm wasting time.

    Anyone have any insight?

Azez Quartz, also known as Azeztulite. Some really high vibe quartz I had read about, but had never seen at any gem shows, only to find it in one of the little shops I've visited regularly over the years.

    http://www.azeztulite.com/

Like I said, I don't know about what is said as far as the myth goes, but I can definitely vouch that it it is indeed the mose high energy quartz I've come across, energy more similar to petalite or phenacite and such.

Yea there is something going on that even the muggles are catching on....

That's why I wanted to check in here and see if I was alone in those feelings, or if there was something a bit bigger going on.
