I was perusing a wonderful thread called 'I Hope this Post Will Change Your Life', which takes some time investment to fully experience, when I came across a very disturbing piece of information. Decide for yourself what is going on here. And please feel free to debunk this with solid evidence to the contrary. (PS: I have not ever made up my mind on Obama, I am open to discovering the truth... please don't shoot me, I am just the messenger)

The link posted at the end of this quote leads to a 67 page book with evidence supporting this viewpoint. If its right, then you are duped every time you watch him, and maybe even if you simply listen to his speeches... and the only defense might be to understand what he is doing and how. OMG!

The first link wont show, this might be because I am UK based. the second gives a lot of accusation and not enough demonstration. that dose not mean there is not foundation. Any one who is anyone, will have training, in delivering speeches, how to dress, how to engage, how to field questions, its a given. It is the MOTIVE behind the man, can we see it, do we know what it is, is he running with the bad boys to catch them out, or is he just one of them.

Not heard about the "hack technique" but there were many suggesting NLP during the last election.

Perhaps that is why he can get away with real head scratchers like this one:

I have, for some reason, had an aversion to listening to him from the first. When I've tried, I feel a deep sense of distrust and that I am manipulated, but I've been unable to put my finger on it. My partner has the exact same reaction. This does not mean that these claims are true, however it they are it might explain my 'gut' reaction.

I did meet someone in the hot springs, where I love to hang out, who has a personal story of Obama and his cabinet. This man has some sort of direct connection to Obama's administration around organic farming ,consciousness, grid lines, and nature spirits (like Perlanda works with). He told me Obama is a 'good guy' a true 'ruler FOR the people' not a 'ruler OF the people', but is hiding for now for fear of being assassinated by the PTB currently in Washington politics. I don't know how people like him decide upon this, he seemed not only convinced, but felt he was being dealt with in a very dramatically conscious way by the Obama Administration. I really don't know what to think about all of this. However it has raised some alarms.

Can anyone help those in the UK find a link to the first video on this thread called: Darren Brown "Trains of Thought". This is important because he clearly demonstrates the ability to totally wipe the memory of a subject within 1 second flat? And he does it over and over with total strangers. It is very scary actually.

IMHO the referenced article is itself an NLP effort to get you to suspect Obama uses NLP.

That might sound like a joke, but it isnt.

For the record, I expect he does. Most leaders do - either because they were trained, or they are just good at it anyway.

Interesting...

Did it ever occur to any of you that this document in itself, is a good example of the use of NLP? In my view one especially constructed to make you beleive that Obama uses hypnosis and is "manipulating" his listeners in an evil way?

The opening page is hardly balanced:

Obama’s techniques are the height of deception and psychological manipulation, remaining hidden because
one must understand the science behind the language patterns in order to spot them. This document
examines Obama’s speeches word by word, hand gesture by hand gesture, tone, pauses, body language, and
proves his use of covert hypnosis intended only for licensed therapists on consenting patients. Obama’s
mesmerized, cult-like, grade-school-crush-like worship by millions is not because “Obama is the greatest
leader of a generation” who simply hasn’t accomplished anything, who magically “inspires” by giving
speeches. Obama is committing perhaps the biggest fraud and deception in American history.

This summary claim is not substantiated.

The techniques used by Obama are the most deceptive forms of communication known to man. They
sideline rational judgment and implant subconscious commands that change how people feel and behave
without any awareness of the manipulation. Obama’s techniques overcome the will without convincing the
judgment through trickery. Obama often says one message that you are aware of, meanwhile implants a
different message hypnotically with double or hidden meanings. He conjures up emotions by talking about
your children, and JFK, and then is caught transferring those feelings onto him with hidden hand gestures.
He hides what he is doing and brazenly uses these techniques in front of millions of people over and over.
Once explained, Obama’s actions can be shown to be the height of manipulation and deception.

And nor is this one!

In my opinion Obama is a superb, and inspired, orator (and I use that word deliberately) who makes compelling, passionate and persuasive arguments in his speeches that allow his position to be considered, re-considered and followed by those whom he now leads:

THIS IS WHAT LEADERS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!!

It sucks that his predecessor lowered the bar so much on that particular presidential quality that Obama's mastery is seen as modern witchcraft.

No offense to anyone here but please - have a critical rethink before going further down this path. Turn the BS filters up to the maximum! Not all efforts at persuasion are sophisticated mind control - any more than this post is.

Another quote from the paper - useful should anyone really try any of this BS on you...

Amplify your powers of discrimination by invoking the power, light and wisdom of your higher self or if you prefer it the one infinite creator, or whatever spiritual guide you feel in tune with - they will all help if asked.

Derren Brown is THE MAN!

I feel like it almost goes without saying that authority figures (faces) such as the president and other media puppets would have to be well-versed in things like hypnotism and NLP, as these tools are integral to their role as human beings.
I don't find this news to be disturbing in the least, in fact I take comfort in recognizing the competence that such a man must have in order to effectively use such tools. Some sorcerers talk about having three tools (actually I've never met any who talked about these but these are the three that I have come to recognize in my studies/practices) and they are (in descending order of energetic potency):

The Laugh
The Smile
The Voice

What do these things allow, you ask?
The laugh allows us to transcend energetic subservience by taking back our power via the modulation of breath and sound.
The smile allows us to flex our energetic aura, allowing those who witness such an act to naturally become hypnotized by the desire to connect and feel good. Body language is a symptom of the two aforementioned techniques, as they make use of the pineal gland.
The voice allows us to inflect tone over linguistic meaning, allowing us to spin the emotional subtext of our communications to our desire.

Pie n Eel showed a really good vid of Derren Brown demonstrating how easy it is to hypnotise somebody into shooting someone, in this case a celebrity. He got an audience member of a Stephen Fry show to 'shoot' Stephen on stage from his seat in the audience. Scary stuff.

As for Obama the jurys still out with me on that one too Dawn. Ive read an interpratation of his birth chart which suggests he really 'believes' himself to be the helper of the world not just America. Is he biding his time or is he deluded? Time will tell I guess.

As was pointed out, most if not all leaders or political figures use some forms of linguistic mind control. Some would even say that all speech is such.

There are definite patterns we can easily recognise and all presidents use them. Whenever there is talk of an enemy, they always say "Make no mistake about it." and "That goes for each and every one of you". There are many more like that, but these obvious ones 'spring to mind' .

I found the video in the second post quite interesting.
It was also pointed out, that those making the allegations of Obama using NLP, are themselves guilty of doing so. That video especially has some strong characteristics.
The speech in the video is 'droning' and at one point speeds up radically, which is also a technique they describe.

The obvious associations they try to make between Obama and Hitler are, well, disgusting really. They switch back and forth between Obama and Hitler, which might cause one to link them together in order for the mind to have continuity.
'It is well known' that Hitler hypnotized the people, or so we're being told. With this much critisicm levied against him, we can hardly say the same about Barack.

There are some sentences in that video that are exhibiting the very thing they accuse BO of using. If that isn't the pot calling the kettle (cattle) black, I don't know what is.

There are the suggestions that especially highly educated and intelligent people are susceptible to these kinds of techniques. That would make many people susceptible, at least in their own minds. "I'm smart and (somewhat) educated, I must therefore be susceptible." And then susceptible they are, I suppose. I'm not an expert, but there is a deliberate confusion in that idea. You'd expect smart people to more easily recognise manipulation when they see it, whereas as not so smart ones might not be as critical. Confusion is part of the method as well.

I'm not coming to Obama's defense here, since it seems obvious that he is very far from fulfilling any of the promises people felt he represented.

During the campaign he was considered to be an eloquent speaker, but listening to him these days, I feel he's stumbling quite a bit and we might wonder how he ever got elected. So to suggest that he is a masterful mind controller, seems inplausible, but then, maybe I'm smart enough to be susceptible.
