Terrified Woman From Another Universe Wakes Up Here..!

    Tuesday, 3 January 2012

What would you do if you found yourself in a strange bed, your workplace had changed, and you discovered your lover no longer existed? A woman named Lerina García claims this is exactly what's happened to her. Could you be next…?

Lerina discovered she was in another universe: ours

What started as an ordinary day—waking in bed one morning—evolved into a series of fearful shocks and haunting horror for a desperate woman lost in an alien world: our world.

As Lerina García left her bed she noticed the sheets and bedclothes were strange. She didn't recognize them. Still shaking off the last vestiges of sleep, however, she simply shrugged away the eerie discovery and began her morning routine.

Everything most precious to her was gone

But García would soon learn that once she'd left that slightly alien bed she entered another reality. Her life, her past—everything most precious to her—was gone.

As she went through the routines of her first day in another universe she noticed small incongruities: things out of place, items missing or items she hadn't purchased.

How many of you are there? Perhaps an infinite number

As she later wrote on the Internet seeking someone to offer an explanation for her nightmarish dilemma and maybe offering help: "One day I woke up and found that everything was different—nothing spectacular or having to do with time travel and such things. I simply woke up in the same year and day on which I went to bed, but many things were different. They were small things, but sufficiently important to know that there was a point at which everything was different."

Lerina's writings on the Internet relating her story are recounted in the Spanish language site revistadigitalavalon. The English translation is here.

Not everything was small. Although her car seemed the same and she still worked at the same company she had for 20 years, in the same building, she was shocked to learn her department no longer listed her. Her office was now in another department in a completely different part of the building.

There may be inifinite Earths being infinitely created

As the level of strangeness escalated, she dealt with her hesitancy and surprise by telling co-workers she wasn't feeling well. She shares her first day on an alien Earth:

“Four months ago I awoke on a normal morning. I was in my rented home where I’d been living for seven years. Everything was the same, except that my bed linen was different, and I paid no attention at the time.

"So I went to work in my car, which was parked where I’d always parked, and it was the same office I’d worked in for the last 20 years. But when I got to my department, it wasn’t my department. It has names on the door and mine wasn’t on it. I thought I was on the wrong floor, but no, it was my own floor. I went over to the office’s wireless section and looked myself up. I still worked there, but in another department, reporting to a superior I didn’t even know.

"So I went to the department indicated in the directory, said I was feeling ill, and left. All the contents of my handbag were the same: my credit cards, my ID, everything, but I didn’t recall having changed departments at any time.

"I went to the doctor and underwent drug and alcohol testing…all clean.

"I returned to work the next day and was able to make my way by asking questions and saying that I wasn’t feeling well."

    Lover disappears, old beau remains

“I’ve been separated from my partner of seven years for some six months. We broke up and I started a relationship with a fellow from my neighborhood. I know him perfectly well, having been with him for four months. I know his name, surname, address, where he works, his son from another relationship, and where he studies.

"Well, that fellow no longer exists. He appeared to have existed before my 'jump' but there is no trace of him now.

"I’ve hired a detective to find him and he does not exist.

"I’ve visited a psychiatrist and its all been put down to stress. He thinks they’re hallucinations, but I know this isn’t the case. My former boyfriend is with me as though nothing had happened—apparently we never broke it off [in this world]—and Agustín (my current boyfriend) appears to have never existed. He doesn’t live in the apartment he used to live at and I cannot find his son.

The multiverse is an architecture of puzzles and paradoxes

"I swear to you that it's true and that I’m very sane. My own family doesn’t remember things like surgery performed on my sister’s shoulder a few months ago: she says she's never been operated on. Small things to that effect."

Yes, just small things. Things like a different job, a loved one that's vanished forever, and another life in another universe that can never be returned to again.

Hall of mirrors: we all may exist on a trillion worlds

    A plaintive plea

As can be imagined, Lerina's traumatic life on this new Earth with a boyfriend she'd broken up with in the other world is causing her bouts of stress and depression. She ends her story with a plea for help:

"Please, if someone has had a similar experience, please contact me to see what may have happened.

"I cannot find any pathology that matches my experience. For five months I’ve been reading all of the theories I’ve come across and am convinced that it has been a jump between planes or something, a decision or action taken that has caused things to change.

In 'The Twilight Zone' a woman confronts her multiverse double

"What upsets me is that that I’m in the same year, not in a different time, and I’m exactly the same. Let me explain: it’s as though I had lost my memory five months ago and woke up having dreamed those five months, with the exception that everyone remembers me during that time, and I’ve done things that I’m not aware of having done.

"Has anyone had a similar experience? Pranksters and people with a grasp on 'the truth' can refrain from commenting. This is very serious to me. Thank you — Luz.”

Could Lerina—a highly educated woman—be simply hallucinating everything? Perhaps she is suffering from a form of rare spatial time-related mental illness?

Perhaps not, for she's not alone in her experience.

A man from another reality shows up in Tokyo's airport

An impossible visitor arrives in Toyko

A curious incident took place in Tokyo, Japan during the early 1990s: a man arrived on a flight with a passport from a non-existent country.

The man expressed anger and shock when Japanese customs officials detained him. Although the officials checked their records carefully, the passport had been issued by a country that did not exist. No record showed the country had ever existed.

Although passports exist issued by non-existent countries (known as camouflage passports), this passport was real and had custom officials' stamps on various pages including stamps by Japanese customs officials from previous visits.

The man was well-traveled, caucasian, said the country was in Europe and had existed for almost 1,000 years. He carried legal currency from several European countries, an international drivers license and spoke several languages.

Finally, indignant, he demanded a meeting with higher government authorities. He was convinced some massive practical joke was being played on him.

Once transported you may never return home

After being detained for almost 14 hours in a small security room at the airport terminal, some government officials took pity on him and transported him to a hotel. They ordered the mystery visitor to wait there until they decided what to do about the matter. From the reports, the Japanese were just as confused and flustered as the mysterious man without a country.

Although two immigration officials were posted with instructions not to permit the man to leave his room, the next morning the guards discovered he was gone. The only exit was the door they watched and the only window had no outside ledge and was 15 stories above a busy downtown street.

The authorities launched an intensive manhunt throughout Tokyo for the mysterious traveler, but finally gave up the hunt.

The man was never seen again.

Other universes are all around us; we can't see or touch them

    The professor's drive into oblivion

Inexplicata relates a story that is like Lerina's, except from the opposite point of view.

The original account was written by journalist Segundo Peña and published in one of Venezuela’s biggest newspapers, El Tiempo.

Peña relates a strange tale that smacks heavily of a multiverse shift. The incident occurred on the campus of ULA (the University of the Andes) and involved a well-known faculty member.

This is what happened in full daylight, according to dozens of witnesses: the professor left one of the university's buildings, crossed a parking lot to his parked car, and entered it. Many saw him as he walked to his car, some even called out to him and waved.

The professor opened his car door, climbed in, sat down, and closed the door. The car sat there unmoving. Eventually, a few curious students went to the car and found it empty.

The professor had vanished, presumably for good, as the incident occurred more than 40 years ago.

    Can such things be explained?

There is no orthodox scientific explanation for any of the incidents described, unless one looks at the leading edge of scientific speculation.

Exploring that dimly lit boundary between knowledge and myth—between the known and the unknown—the answer may be found.

People who appear and disappear may not be snatched up by rogue ripples of time, but by anomalies in the fabric of the shifting, living multiverse.

Some quantum physicists theorize that existence is populated by infinite universes infinitely created. Each universe is like an infinite bubble birthing new universes—new limitless bubbles. Time does not exist. Instead everything is an eternity of now.

In the world of the quanta—which encompases all that is—the multiverses are vibrating at different rates and some parallel worlds literally overlap ours.

Physicists also have had glimpses into these other realties during experiments where sub-atomic particles have winked out of existence and then reappeared. Whether they're jumping dimensions, or actually traveling between multiverses, no one knows.

Finally, quantum theory and string theory recognize a symbiotic relationship between cognitive awareness and the universe. In essence, a universe cannot really exist unless a mind perceives it. The mind influences the quanta and the quanta influences (perhaps even programs) the mind. It's a two way street.

So now what would happen if that quantum link between the quantum universe and the quantum mind were broken—even briefly?

Would the person become like a ship that lost its anchor—in this case an anchor to the universe? Could a person slip from this reality into one right "next door" to our universe? If so, would there be an excahnge trading one version of a person for another, sort of a universal-multiverse swap? Or, as in the case of the hapless lost professor, would a person simply vanish with no counterweight replacing him or her from an adjoining reality?

Time would be unaffected, and the two parallel universes would be so symmetrical that only minor things may be different.

Yes, minor things like a lover that no longer exists or a sister who never had surgery...

Interesting post. An Unsolved Mysteries episode i saw many years ago did a story about people who seemed to
shift out of visibility. One woman talked about episodes of walking down the street and people walking

seemingly right through her as if she wasn't there. Perhaps she too was experiencing something similar.

    Hey Jack,

Very nice case. We have three options here:

1-She´s really from another universe or dimension.
2-She´s suffered from some kind of stroke during the night, leading her to some kind of mental confusion.
    3-She´s lying.

Either way, she´s in serious trouble. That´s for sure.

The question is; If she´s from another place, where is the original "her", from this planet?

    Cheers,

    Raf.

sounds to me like she is from a parallel universe......we assume the life we are living is the right one, but every time we make a decision a new universe is created......I think she has slipped from one to the other......question is did she trade places with the version of herself who never left the boyfriend....in which case there are two versions of her feeling like theyre going mad!

Very interesting read, thank you Jackovesk for sharing

I am thinking two things right off the bat.

    1. The timeline changed (maybe during her sleep?) and she woke up remembering the previous timeline like nothing ever happened.

    2. Something got entangled during her time in astral, and she woke up "in the wrong multi-verse". I tend to see the astral as a huge bunch of threads (if that makes sense) and maybe it is possible to get intertwined..

Both above pure speculation... Hard to tell with these cases..

    But on that note:

Default Re: Terrified Woman From Another Universe Wakes Up Here..!

Reminds me of this story from Robert Monroe's 'Journeys out of body'

At first, the thought was that Locale III was no more than some part of our world unknown to me and those others concerned. It had all the appearances of being so. However, more careful study showed that it can be neither the present nor the past of our physical-matter world.
The scientific development is inconsistent. There are no electrical devices whatsoever. Electricity, electromagnetics, and anything so related are non-existent. No electric lights, telephones, radios, television, or electric power.
No internal combustion, gasoline, or oil were found as power sources. Yet mechanical power is used. Careful examination of one of the locomotives that pulled a string of old-fashioned-looking passenger cars showed it to be driven by a steam engine. The cars appeared to be made of wood, the locomotive of metal, but of a different shape than our now obsolete types. The track gauge was much smaller than our standard track spacing, smaller than our narrow-gauge mountain railways.
I observed the servicing of one of the locomotives in detail. Neither wood nor coal was used as a thermal source to produce steam. Instead, large vatlike containers were carefully slid from under the boiler, detached, and rolled by small cart into a building with massive thick walls. The containers had pipelike protuberances extending from the top. Men working behind shields performed the removal, casually cautious, and did not relax their automatic vigilance until the containers were safely in the building and the door closed. The contents were “hot,” either through heat or radiation. The actions of the technicians all seemed to indicate the latter.
The streets and roads are different, again principally in size. The “lane” on which vehicles travel is nearly twice as wide as ours. Their version of our automobile is much larger. Even the smallest has a single bench seat that will hold five to six people abreast. The standard unit has only one fixed seat, that of the driver. Others are much like living-room chairs, placed around a compartment that measures some fifteen by twenty feet. Wheels are used, but without inflated tyres. Steering is done by a single horizontal bar. Motive power is contained somewhere in the rear. Their movement is not very fast, at something like fifteen to twenty miles per hour. Traffic is not heavy.
Self-powered vehicles exist in the form of a four-wheeled platform which is steered by the feet acting upon the front wheels. A mechanism pumped by the arms transfers the energy to the rear wheels, much like the children's “rowing wagons” of some years back. These are used for short distances.
Habits and customs are not like ours. What little has been gleaned implies a historical background with different events, names, places, and dates. Yet, while the stage of man's evolution (the conscious mind translates the inhabitants as men) seems to be identical, technical and social evolution are not completely the same.
The major discovery came soon after I gathered the courage for extended expeditions into Locale III. In spite of early indications, the people there were not aware of my presence until I met and “merged” temporarily and involuntarily with one who can only be described as the “I” who lives “there”. The only explanation I can think of is that I, fully conscious of living and being “here,” was attracted to and began momentarily to inhabit the body of a person “there,” much like myself.
When this took place—-and it began to be an automatic process when I went to Locale III—-I simply took over “his” body. There was no awareness of his mental presence when I temporarily displaced him. My knowledge of him and his activities and his past came from his family, and what was evidently his brain memory-bank. Though I knew that I was not he, I could feel objectively the emotional patterns of his past. I have wondered what embarrassment I have caused him as a result of the periods of amnesia created by my intrusions. Some must have brought him much distress.
Here is his life: “I” There at the first intrusion, was a rather lonely man. He was not particularly successful in his field (architect-contractor), and not too gregarious. He came of what might be classified as a low-income group, and succeeded in going to the equivalent of a minor college. He spent much of his early career in a large city in an ordinary job. He lived on the second floor of a rooming house, and took a bus to work. It was a strange city to him, and he made few friends. (The bus, incidentally, was very wide, seating eight abreast, and seats rose behind the driver in successively higher tiers, so that all could see the road ahead.) My first intrusion caught him just as he was getting off the bus. The driver looked at him suspiciously when I tried to pay a fare. It seems that none is charged.
The next intrusion came at an emotional crisis. “I” There met Lea, a wealthy young woman with two children, a boy and a girl, both under four years of age. Lea was a sad, wistful, and somewhat preoccupied person, who seemed to have experienced some major tragedy in her life. This had some relationship to her former husband, but was not clear. “I” There met her quite accidentally, and was deeply attracted to her. The two children found in him a great companion. Lea appeared only mildly interested at this first meeting. Her greatest response lay in his attention to and warmth for the children.
A short time later an intrusion occurred just as Lea and “I” There had announced to friends-—her friends—-that they were going to be “married” (this has a slightly different connotation). There was much consternation among the friends, chiefly due to the fact that it had been only thirty days (?) since some major event had occurred in Lea's life (divorce, her husband's death, or some physical debilitation). “I” There was still greatly attracted, and Lea was still sad and introspective.
A later intrusion came when Lea and “I” There were living in a house in a semi-pastoral surrounding. The house sat on a low hill, had long rectangular windows, and very wide eaves much like those of a pagoda. The railroad curved around the hill some three hundred yards in the distance, the tracks coming in from the right in a straight line, then across the front of the hill, then around to the back and to the left. There was deep green grass from the steps of the house, down over the roll of the hill. Behind the house, “I” There had an office, a one-room building where he worked. On this occasion, Lea entered the office and came over to the desk just as I had replaced “I” There.
“The workmen want to borrow some of your tools,” she said. I looked at her blankly. I was not sure what to say, so I asked her what workmen.
“The men working on the road, of course”. She had not yet sensed anything wrong.
Before I realized what effect it would have, I said there were no men working on the road. With this, she looked at me intently, with a growing suspicion. I was thoroughly unsure of what to do next, so I left his body and returned through the hole.
Another eventful intrusion came when “I” There had set up his laboratory. He was not fully qualified to perform research, but he had decided he could make some kind of new discoveries. He had (perhaps with the assistance of Lea's wealth) taken a huge storage building, divided it internally into small rooms, and was conducting some kind of experiments. In the middle of one, I displaced him in his body, but was unable to calculate what was next in his routine. Just then, Lea came in, with visitors, principally to show the kind of work he had achieved in the renovated building. I (in “I” There's body) stood there unable to speak when Lea asked me to tell them of the work I had been doing.
Somewhat embarrassed, Lea led the couple out into another room. I hesitated when perhaps “I” There would have followed. I tried to “feel” any pattern of activity that he might have been doing. The best I could get was that he had been trying to develop new forms of theatrical entertainment, designing theater stages, lighting, and sets, all in an attempt to make watching a play a strongly subjective ex-perience. With only this partial success in his recall, I left his body when I heard them returning so as to avoid further complicating his life.
A vacation in the mountains was under way at another intrusion point. “I” There, Lea, and the two children were riding along a winding mountain road, each on the self-propelled vehicle described elsewhere. I “took over” inadvertently just as they were reaching the bottom of one hill and had started up another. New to the device, I tried to make it go up the next hill, and soon rolled off the road and into a small pile of dirt. The rest waited while I tried to get back on the road, and I muttered that there were better ways to get around than this. This triggered something in Lea, and she suddenly became quiet. Why, I didn't know. (I'm sure “I” There did.) I tried to tell her that I was not who she thought, then realized that this was only making it worse. I “left,” returning to the hole and the physical body.
In later intrusions, “I” There and Lea no longer lived together. He had met with some success, but some action of his alienated her. Alone, he has thought of her constantly, and deeply regretted the weakness that made him displease her. He met her casually once, in a large city, and pleaded with her to let him visit her. She told him she would let him do so, and see how things worked out. She lived in the equiva-lent of an apartment, on the third floor of a residential building. He promised to come.
Unfortunately, “I” There lost or forgot the address she gave him, and at the last intrusion, was a lonely and frustrated man. He was sure that Lea would interpret his loss of the address as indifference on his part and another example of his instability. He was working, but was spending his idle time trying to find Lea and the children.
What can be made of all this? In view of the less than idyllic circumstances, it scarcely qualifies as an escape from reality via the unconscious. Nor is it the type of life one might select to enjoy vicariously. One can only speculate, and such speculation of itself must consider concepts unacceptable to present-day science. However, the “dual but different” life activity may lend a clue to the “where” of Locale III. The most important assumption is that Locale III and Locale I (Here-Now) are not the same. This is based upon the differences in scientific development. Locale III is not more advanced, perhaps even 38
less so. There is no time in our known history where science was at the Locale III stage.

This happened in 2008 Jack, i did some research.

    Here:

July 2008, a woman named Lerina García posted a message to a website asking for help. We will transcribe her message verbatim.

“Hello, my name is Luz. I’m 41 and believe that I have jumped into a parallel universe. This is hard for me to discuss, as everyone will consider me psychotic and will refuse to believe me. This is soo interesting. The strangest part of it is that just last night I was dreaming that I was someone else. This is no joke. In my dream the person looked kind of like me and the dream started with her having dinner with two kids she/I knew to be my niece and nephew, but weren't mine in this life. She/I had a different house, lived in a different neighborhood. This dream went on and on. Doing things around the house, changing clothes and looking at myself in the mirror while doing it and seeing a very different body, etc. Then when I woke up today at first I still felt like that person. It took a minute to adjust. The strangest thing also was that when I wake up my cat always jumps on the bed to say good morning and I could see her kind of stop with a jump, like she even was saying "Wait a minute, who are you, and where is the person who is usually in this bed". I thought this was all very strange and have been wondering about this all morning. I was just going to chalk it up to a strange dream and so whatever. Now I am reading this. I am wondering if that person was in my body all night. My boyfriend said that I was talking in my sleep and snoring, which he has never known me to do. He even asked me if I was alright last night. I told him that I was having a strange dream, but left it at that.

Now reading this I am kind of bewildered. I mean this dream was so real!! Also, waking this morning felt really odd, like I had to come out of a fog. I am going to look into this material a lot more. How interesting that you posted this Jack today of all days. Thanks for the thread you know that I love your stuff, now you are even posting synchronistic material. Too cool!!

    Interesting story.
    That once happened to me.
I once went out for a night of drinking and partying.

When I came home, I smelled of perfume, and had the odor of another woman all over my body.
I was at a loss to explain to my wife why I smelled like that

If I had a good imagination like this lady...I would have just used her story.

Why do woman have to smell that way.

Some of us have also had this exact sort of experience. Minor shifts to alternate timelines. Look around the forum. There are posts and threads with this sort of information in them. The one that I'm familiar with, my own occurrence of such... happened back in 2003 or so.

Too cool!!
Happens all the time. It could be a timeline shift, or you experiencing/living two lives at the same time (some souls do that, usually at least once in their re-incarnations), or you being a 'rider' in someone else, for some given purpose.

I have had hypnotic regressions to remember past lives, and that experience felt very much like this dream did, but I have never had something like this happen. I understand what you mean by the first part of this quote and I kind of thought that may have been a possibility, just because this felt like it did during past life regression. However, what is a "rider'?

I will PM you since I don't want to take away from the thread by asking too many personal questions.
