A Strange Occurrence of Sleep Paralysis

Hi Static,
it happen to me too.. i've seen weird stuff in that state.. sometime is not even with paralysis i see entities or object totally out of place in my room.
No big deal at last, it really happen to a lot of people.
if it happen another time, just keep calm you can control it, observe with no judgement, fear wont help!!

How do you know this?
I didn't really seem malevolent to me.
The only fear I had was really as a result of being paralyzed.
Yes it was a dark figure, but should I automatically assume that it is some sort of demonic entity because of that?
The documentary that i posted had a lot of that stuff in it. I don't completely discount it but I don't quite jive with that.

i'd like to offer years of experience with it; i used to get paralyzed all of the time and had to figure out how to deal with it on my own.

basically, if you want to prevent sleep paralysis it's easy, the info is in the video. all you have to do is eat at the right time, sleep in the correct position (at the right time), and get high quality sleep at the right time.

I think sleep paralysis, can alter the state of mind..sort of like an altered state of conscience..And while in this we can maybe see a other dimension or things we can normally see in 3D. So I think somehow your mind was not in the 3rd dimension..and your mind and body were not working together during this. lots of people have claimed to have seen spirits-ghost while in sleep paralysis. Seems a common theme.

Demons, fairies, spirits ghost come from other dimensions. if they somehow get to this world..they tend to be just as fearful of humans as we would be of them..thus creaming Mickey Mouse or the Cookie Monster would have the same effect on them as would be saying the name Jesus.
I'd like to see your Jesus do something real then chasing away then Boggy man. Why don't he start curing cancer on all his believers..??? Why don't we see him raise from the dead that little 5 year old girl that was in a car crash? NOPE no proof..and he never has!

I have had sleep paralysis a few times, the last time it happened, it went on for about a minute I think, it's hard to estimate, but it felt like it could have lasted for an hour.

Really just knowing what was going on helped, I calmed down fast and there was no fear, just an uncomfortable feeling of that... I am trying to move, but I can't. The first seconds can be so disorientating, when you come around and try to figure out what is happening.

I watched the 10min video by FutureHumanDestiny , I agree with his tips (from my own experience) on how to make it stop, I started having my experiences, when I was going through extreme stress, which caused a lack of sleep etc and things just kind of snowballed from there.

About a week ago (I've had this happen, when I was a teenager, but it stopped for ten years) I experienced something that is called the "exploding head syndrome" by modern medicine I suppose, it's classified as a "parasomnia condition" (which I think is what FutureHumanDestiny might have been describing in his video? Sounded similar). Essentially I woke up to a loud sound in my head, which rang as if someone had hit a metallic object with another metallic object, and I saw a few lights too, the other times the sound has been a gunshot, an explosion, but when I wake up, it's very clear it's in my head... It's really weird, when it happens because it's that sound that wakes you up.

The freakiest experience I've had so far with the astral (a few days back) is waking up and not realizing I was on the astral plane, at least that's where I think I was. I "woke up" on the sofa I usually sleep on, when I visit my parents. I was so confused on how I got there, because I didn't go to sleep at their house, and then I proceeded on debating if I was going crazy and I'm just starting to forget things.
Then I "tiptoed" out of the room (door was open) and suddenly realized that hey, I'm out of my body, how is it possible that I just wake up on the astral plane like this, all confused, is that even possible? Has anyone else had an experience like that? Maybe it wasn't the astral, all I know is that I was out of my body and confused on what was going on.

Shortly after that I did actually wake up in the right place and my initial reaction was making sure it was my body I was in, no idea where that reaction even came from, and spent the morning wondering what the heck happened there.

Sleep paralysis I'm OK with, "exploding heads" are alright, lol, I mean... It's not bad, but out of body and realizing it... That was wild for me as I'm a newbie with it

sleep paralysis is the beginnings of astral projection, nothing more.

It is the act of the mind being conscious, while the body is sleeping. Nothing more.

In those moments the dimensional spaces may open up.... and the mind, the conscious part of the mind may be able to see beyond the veil...without the hind-brain interrupting or filtering. which is a good thing. It cannot filter when it is resting as it is the mechanical control of the body, and it is at rest.

I have this happen naturally at least once a day, most times. I realize that I'm awake in my skull, but my body is shut off. 'Way cool!', I tells myself, in those moments....As it is a good thing. Not bad ---at all.

Going back to the start of this thread, and actually reading, I'd say that this is not 'sleep paralysis', it is something else altogether.

I've been a rider in people before, but one does not take over a person's body.

But it can be done. However, there is no evidence that it is some other person/being.

I'm wondering if you live on a ley line or hot spot.

'Growing up psychic', speaks of several incidences and of particular situations, where unwarranted bodily spiritual interaction may take place. When weak, drunken, or under duress, excited, etc.

For anyone who is psychic, the book is pee yourself funny. It gives you a book you always wished existed, one of 'misadventures' along the road of life, but a psychic road.

The one running through the finger lakes area, in NY state. Wynderer speaks on the difficulties of dealing with that particular ley line, in the above thread. Also, it passes through the Great Salt lake.

The associations are: the blue ghost tunnel, the war of 1812 in the Niagara peninsula, and the stories concerning the great salt lake and connected mormon(ish) 'issues' - in the darker areas of spirituality,and last but not least..the Catholic Mohawk Orphanage buried children (ritual satanic sacrifice?) scandal that is now emerging in the news. All on that ley line.

You are near a point where two lines meet. The other line goes to.... Northern Scotland.

Both lines are of the 'isosahedral Great Circle Set', the yin and yang lines. (from the 'Becker-Hagens vortex line google earth 'kmz' file overlay-using Google earth to find this information)

They appear to be quite valid lines, energy wise. From the reports of activities, that is.

Do not automatically assume that the energy of the given ley line is separate from you, regarding manifestation. We can also create and integrate with these energies. It is like a dimensional harmonic resonant motor. we can use it, become it, reject it, ride it, know it or simply recognize the energies and stay away from them.

A matter of choice.

We can harmonically integrate with the energies and thus manifest them in our lives, or not. In the same way we can integrate with a person in conversation, we can integrate with these energies. Knowing the energies exist as a locational issue for your 'area' on the surface of the globe...and knowing that they have a distinct polarity or direction - is a good first step. I tend to avoid looking at people's avatar images, if I'm interested. next thing you know I'm knocking on their dimensional door, in the 'dreamworld', or remote viewing them, or remote viewing them in the FUTURE, which I have done with the odd person whom i integrate with. If I integrate with them, I can then see in their future to some degree, as theirs is then intertwined with mine. I can even see the world through their eyes, at times. no biggie. Note the lack of fear I project/communicate within these subjects. NO demons, NO entities, NO projections of fears..... in order to shape those fears into some some sort of golem or tulpa. Stay away from that.

Close the door of your being (regarding privacy and ownership) .... so no one can step into you ---claim your own internal capabilities and energetics.

You have to roll it around in your mind until any vestigial fears go away, as after all, it IS a completely new area of understanding. which is why it is important to NOT make real anything like projections of 'entities' and such. YOU ARE A CREATOR of forms, FROM energies. OK? All of you.

So ....don't do anything based in animal fears.

It really is that simple.

Be aware.

Get your head clear ---and understand what it is you are dealing with.

If something seems to be attacking you, it could be your own shadow or it could be something else. But...if you step into your own power or energies, then this..as an issue dissipates., but don't do it with fear, or anger, or ego..etc. For if the shadow as energy, is real... then..what does that mean for an aware person? Does it mean their own access and capacity, in some manner or level? The answer is --yes.

Well I talked to someone who had much more knowledge on this info and he said that there are 2 major vortexes on the eastern side of lake michigan. I live inside or very close to one of them.

I only have one comparable incident.

I woke up in my bed with a feeling of being held down not as by hands or by a weight, but a general feeling of pressure. There was a sound like a chirping or a ringing of bells, though a constant, modulating frequency rather than an intermittent sounded. It almost whirred. Next to my bed was a small 'grey' alien, but I could only 'half' see it. I do not know why I couldn't fully see it, but it was a combination of a sense of presence and a general impression. I believe I must have been awake in some form before my consciousness 'became available to me' and I realised what was happening. I was already lashing out at this thing by my bed and my anger and fury were immense. I kept lashing out with my arm, which wasn't moving as I was completely immobile. Nonetheless, the being moved backwards every time I lashed out with my non-existent arm. It felt as though I were lashing out with my mind and it was responding to the thought.

I thought to myself that I was reacting with a fury and I had no idea why, and that if I were to be angry, I should at least know why. I immediately calmed down and thought to the being "do not be intimidated; I am not". When I said that, the thing disappeared and I regained full control of my body, which seemed to 'explode' violently with the force of pent-up motion suddenly released.

Needless to say, I turned over and went back to bed ;-)

I just had a very similar experience just today . I decided to take an hour nap after taking my last college final ..woohoo... When out of nowhere I open my eyes and see my roommate sleeping on her bed which is next to mine. So I thought "oh I guess I'm awake " only to be paralyzed when I decided to move. I didnt feel a pressure on my chest of someone holding me down .
It felt like AN ENERGY FIELD WAS SURROUNDING ME thus preventing me from moving out of my sleeping position. Envy time I would try to move my hand It felt like the force of gravity had just multiplied by a million . It took all of my concentration just to try to move my arm .
After what felt like minutes I started to. Feel a presence behind me , it wasn't bad but it also wasn't good . I could "hear" it moving behind me . I was trying to move my neck to see who it was but obviously I couldn't .

At this point I was beginning to panic , and started to called my roommate name. But all I could manage was a muffle if that . It always felt like mi lips were stuck together I th glue!!! All I could do was panic , I didn't know if I was awake or asleep . I tried to wake up but I couldn't. I was l literally terrified not because of the entity but o f not knowing what the hell was happening , what reality was I living in!?

Then suddenly ,after I became tired from struggling to move . My dream body moved and I regained movement in my dream. Almost , instantly I knew the presence was in the living room and without fear I got up to open the door and see who it was.
There with the door open I saw for the first time a grey. His eyes were black , his face bigger Than his body and hire and what looked like dress clothes ( they might not be but this is how I remember it know) .
Then ...pooof...he disappeared and I woke up panting . Scared out of my mind.

My roommate later said that " she read mumbleling noises and it sounded like I was having a nightmare because I was making distress sounds".

As of now I don't know how I feel about this. I will return to post more if it happens again.

Hi all, I have had similar experiences since I was about 11 years old, almost exactly what you initially described. Other times I have literally been screaming inside with pure terror/fear and unable to move. I have seen green figures walk through my room and slip through a slightly opened door and also once I experienced Jesus Christ telling me that I was Blaspheming him whilst he floated over my bed (no ****!!) One of the worst sleep paralysis experiences I had was waking and feeling as if my soul had shrunk in to my body and was stuck in there (very hard to describe) It was very scary. Partners who have experienced what has happened when I woke them have said that I am trying to shout or scream but i appear as if I have cerebral palsy(hope you all understand that description)
It rarely happens to me anymore in fact it's been two years since the last time.
I have never experienced such pure fear in my waking life as the fear experienced during this state of paralysis and every time it's happened i've had some kind of experience like seeing a ghost or demon or(as i said) deitous form.
It is very strange indeed, I think most of the fear comes from not being able to feel or move your own body.
Anyway, heres hoping it doesn't happen again anytime soon,

I have a couple of experiences to share that fit right in here. When I was 19 I lived next door to a good friend of mine that I'm still good friends with over 30 years later. I woke up one morning and, although I could see the room as if my eyes were open and I felt wide awake, I could not move a muscle in my body, move a finger or toe, or even open my eyelids. This was not an unusual experience, especially in my younger years (I would usually lie there trying to will myself awake by trying to move my toes, which sometimes worked and other times I would just fall back asleep frustrated). On this occasion though, as I was trying to will myself awake, I suddenly saw my friend from next door standing at my bedside and me, frantically trying to wake up so I could talk to him. After what seemed an eternity he just went away and I fell back asleep. When I saw him later that day he didn't have anything remarkable to say other than he had been asleep at the same time, so I figure he came over to visit in his astral body. Another time a couple years later I woke up again not being able to move and I could hear the telephone ringing. Again I frantically tried to wake up because I was just sure it was for me. This time I actually found myself looking at my body from above but still could not wake myself up. After a short time I gave up, went back in my body and fell asleep only to find out a while later when I woke up again that the phone had been ringing but it wasn't for me. I would guess these types of experiences are fairly common. I was lucky that even though I had grown up in a very hard core fundamentalist Christian home I had always been interested in what they would have considered forbidden knowledge. The unkown excited me rather than scared me.

On another note though, having studied and experimented with many types of alternate perceptual states, I had a couple of totally different experiences in more recent years (actually I have had a lot of strange experiences but these are all I willing to talk about on an oh so public forum). My husband and I had been together less than a year in early 2001 and I woke up to him getting up abruptly and turning the bedroom light on. He said he felt something in the room and when he turned the light on you could see what looked like kind of a dark, shadowy, almost scarf-like moving image in the far upper corner of the room. He literally swooshed it out the door, turned every light on in the house, opened the front door and commanded it to leave. He then got a sock and put some salt in it, after salting around the house, brought it back to bed and put it under his pillow. I guess his mother was Russian and her family had immigrated from Russia when she was a child and he inherited what to many would seem to be strange behaviors. His mother even did a type of energy healing with her hands although she never called it anything. On another occasion just a couple years ago I woke in a dream state and saw a presence in another room and didn't feel any fear at first. I was just observing and it was just moving around the room. Then all of a sudden it noticed me and I had an absolutely ominous feeling arise in me as it came towards me (it felt like the feeling I've had with those large brown spiders that you sometimes find in the bathtub that are very aggressive and will actually run towards you really fast like they're in attack mode). I was screaming in my sleep trying to shout a few protective affirmations I knew and was frantically reaching for the light (the lamp next to the bed) and all of a sudden my husband woke me up. He said he saw me moving and moaning in my sleep. It was almost on top of me and I felt like I couldn't breathe and then my husband woke me up just in time. I was terrified for some reason and felt shook up for quite some time after-wards. I have a healthy respect for my intuition. I think if you take away your preconceived ideas and programmed belief systems your body will tell you true on whether something is there to cause you harm or otherwise. I found the fact that your dog shared your experience to be very interesting. Both cats and dogs will often sense things and act strangely, but your dog was paralyzed too.
