My dad is a Scorpio, mom Virgo, brother Aquarius and sister Virgo. My parent were married for 40 years until my mom died. Although, i felt some deep kindredness with them both -there was always this disconnect with me and the family -i left home when i was 15.

    [Postupdate]

My dad was violent and a heavy drinker and my mom was an emotional neurotic; my sister came in with the dark ones (several) she was lost as a child and as an adult. My brother who was older than me left when i was still pretty young. As soon as I could I left.

My mother and father never really seemed to fit together either -weird.

Lol. I'd be inclined to say it was Virgo thing.

Virgo mum, Capricorn Dad. My mother was clearly a sociopath and my father either spoiled her or hid from her. Either way it didn't work.

My father though was the ultimate free spirit, he'd walk out the door and not return for four days and not think there was anything unusual about it. Sometimes he took me with him, other times not. He willingly chose to be a rail bum and traveled all over the world by rail or ship. He was in Airforce, Navy, and Coast Gaurd and probably would signed up for the Marines and Army too if he'd not met my mother. My mother was the worst attributes of Virgo condensed and amplified there was not a single enduring Virgo quality to her, and it wasn't until after they had both died I was able to figure out why those two people who had ABSOLUTELY no business being together got married.

Mother ended twisted and bitter also, Lisab, but for the life of me I don't know why. She was really quite spoiled by my father. And sister and I did our best to please her, but it never worked. Is this a Pisces thing?

Dad also a Scorpio, its interesting as i was meant to be born on his bday, but i was 6 weeks prem,
so born two days after mums bday instead. Always been fatally attracted to scorpios myself,
usually with disasterous results.Their secrets and my loaded 12 house makes for too many guessing games and dramas, no thanks.
My Scorpio moon has also got me into a fair amount of trouble, lol.

Robert Hand said of Neptune, "It's a real pain in the ass" , as you just can't
predict how its going to influence things. If nothing else its calling for
more openness and willingness to accept any changes that may arise,
that's my attitude anyway to this year ahead.

I haven't found anything interesting to post, so I'll just tell you about my cookery.

Made a vegetable stir fry with onion and celery sauteed soft in olive oil and a pinch of salt which brings out the sweetness of the onions.

Tossed in orange bell pepper, broccoli caps, mushrooms, and nappa cabbage.

Dressed it with mirin (sweet sake wine), tamari soy sauce, and sesame oil.

    Yum.

Pisces women do become bitter, unfortunately, more often than not. It's to do with the endless disappointments. They think they are here to create heaven on earth, being visionaries, but then find their vision gets blocked by all those guys who want humanity to return to the caves.
If the Pisces female can learn that the real purpose of her life is to develop her identity...as a solid person, without ego, and that through her sacrifices she forms a fine soul substance to take with her when she goes home, and if she can be content with that, then the battle has been won.
Seems I am the 'male' version of that very purpose unfolded...living it from profound experiences that have influenced living each day as best I may along those lines, Ulli : )

You figured right: you brought them together BEFORE you were born, so that you might have the existence and conditions you needed to become you.

Ahhh, so good to be home. Got a call that my mom was ill after my last job New Years Day....played a wedding, double dip (ceremony and reception), but for goodness sake who wants their anniversary to be on New Years Day...

Anyway, mom is 81 with congestive heart failure, diabetes, arrythmia, high blood pressure but insists on living alone in the family home. One of my cousins stopped by to say hi and found her in her recliner having a great deal of difficulty breathing...seems she had a cold, did nothing about it, and it ended up in her chest. Drove down to Connecticut, got her to the doctor...walking pneumonia. Won't come home with me...won't go to my brothers. So we will be taking turns staying with her until it clears up.

I'm not sure what's going on lately, but I seem to be attracting hawks. A few weeks ago, a hawk landed on the ground not more than 10 feet in front of me, stayed a minute and took off just fine...so I don't think he was hurt. Last week while I was on my deck, a huge hawk landed on a large oak branch that reaches into the backyard. I stared at him. He stared at me, not moving. We must have been like that for a full 3 minutes before he took off. So I attributed the visits to having my daughters yip-yip toy poodle over to play with my dogs...perhaps they thought she might be a tasty morsel...but she wasn't outside when the two events happened. This evening as I was waiting in the parking lot for my husband to get out of work before we headed out to dinner, a big old hawk flew onto the top of a telephone pole perhaps 15 feet from me at the most and stayed there until Bob opened the car door.

It's just plain weird. Then again, I have a friend who has been having the same kind of experiences with owls, so maybe it's not so weird and I'm just noticing it more...being in the here and now seems to do that to the simplest of tasks.

    Sounds delightful....

I accidentally left the flour out of my oatmeal coconut cookie recipe over the holiday's and I was amazed they turned out better than before with no wheat....sweetened with stevia and a touch of maple syrup..... two cookies contain a daily maintenance dose of coconut oil.

Then, a few days ago, I learned a gel made of soaked chia seeds is a good egg substitute containing tons of omega 3's.
I have been working on eliminating most of the egg whites from the recipe (still working out the proportions).

Also, experimenting with omelet recipes. 7T of chia gel with 3t powdered egg whites and seasonings makes an interesting omelet (I still use cheese inside). Another work in progress. (Gel: whisk 2T seeds per cup of water, let stand, refrigerate.)

Villagers here may already know all about chia seeds, but it is new to me.

I "play" in the kitchen 3-4 hours every day ..... wonderful therapy.

Been thinking about how much simpler life could be.
    https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiped.../Simple_living

One of my favorite quotes... think I've posted this before, but gonna post it again.

If the day and the night are such that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal- that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have cause momentarily to bless yourself. The greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt if they exist. We soon forget them. They are the highest reality. Perhaps the facts most astounding and most real are never communicated by man to man. The true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.
    Henry David Thoreau
    Walden

About the stir fry, forgot to say, everyone come eat with me! It's impossible to make just a little stir fry.
ES, dessert sounds loverly! My sweet tooth likes everything.

    Great quote JB.

Had squash soup and an avocado for dinner. I've cut all meats out of my diet. I'm a type O blood. Any suggestions from the villagers who have been on vegetarian or raw foods diet? I know that type Os are suppose to eat meat but I naturally just stopped pretty much. Felt a lot of heaviness and almost couldn't stand the site of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You too Rose, i love kitchen therapy its the best.
I have been working at getting my sour dough breads just perfect.

I'm loving the Polish rye one right now, 100% rye flour.
There is a sprouted wheat recipe that goes back 2000 years,
called essene bread, pretty cool, no flour at all. I was amazed
at how it turned out, you can even cook it in a very low
oven so its more raw. And the sprouted wheat is fine for
those that cant normally eat wheat as its full of enzymes.
Its food as its meant to be eaten. Im heading more and more
to eating not only mainly raw but also mainly living foods.

My latest thing is micro greens, one teaspoon of broccoli
shoots has as much nutrient value as a whole head.
One week to harvest, and all year round growing too,
makes so much more sense. I think fasting really set me
up properly with the a more healthy food attitude.
I don't crave anything and I'm eating for all the right reasons.

The empowering benefits have also spread out into other
areas, like I'm very focused and determined to take these
study trips this year, where as before i would have found
reasons to whimp out . It's so apparent that there
is a "right time" for everything. All the "waiting around"
that i would often beat myself up for, was simply because an
idea, or plan was not fully supported, energetically speaking,
    at that time.

Even at the exact moment i was posting about my studies this year,
i got an email from my Aussie teacher, about the upcoming year.

9eagle9 - i posted a long rely to your post, and it got wiped on my phone.
Just so you know, i really appreciate your words and your support.
One way ticket yes i know and I'm very much embracing that.
What Carmody was talking about the "being lost" i went through
a few years back when i was doing a major modality search.
It nearly drove me insane, i was surface speeding through so
much material. But i understand that time now, why waste
time getting into depth with things that don't resonate?
So many things lead me to this path, including my last incarnation.
It's certainly not some whim, more a homecoming.
If anything it's more just rediscovering a forgotten history.
And being someone that's always been interested in the root cause of problems,
when i bumped into Shamanic practices it was such a thank God moment for
me, no more searching. Of course its a very broad subject,
and life long apprenticeship, but i like that too, being an eternal student.
Lets face it, are all here for that very reason

The people , group work will be more of a challenge, (but also great learning)
for me than the actual material. And this is why i have been working with my
teachers one on one to establish a connection early. At least they will have
some of an idea of my hurdles, I'm helping them to help me, i didn't
    do that before.

My last experience with a teacher ended in tears.
He was a Native American, with a big ego. He sacked me from his
course as i had trouble handing in written work, even though i could
complete all the work orally. I tried to to explain my learning issues,
but he just said i was using it as an excuse. It's pretty standard in
education these days to let those with learning disorders to submit
work in different formats, but he didn't get that. I was really hurt,
because i was working so hard. But it ended up being for the best,
he was just all wrong for me. I gave myself such a hard time after that for weeks .
He was also totally arrogant, things came to a head when he tried to warn me
off working on a certain project that my guides had given me the go head on,
telling me a story how a previous student of his had ended up in a psych
ward for going her own way.
It's interesting that my current "teachers" are mostly all female now.
and, they tell me over and over that your own guidance comes first.
If only main stream education taught that way.

Sorry for the long post peeps. been having tech issues.

I had a really normal childhood. Moms a Leo, dads a Cap. Two younger sisters, oldest Aquarius, youngest Cap. Three dogs, no cats. Three minutes to school, fifteen to the high school. Great big field starting at the back of our house that ran for a mile, right to the edge of town - beyond which was the pond (an old quarry). My best buddy was Gemini and his parents were cool, so did a lot of wee hours talking with the four of us (sometimes his older wacko sister would join in). No subject was taboo. And we explored them all. By the time I was twelve I'd already had quite an education in areas I would never have been exposed to otherwise.

1inMany, ?. Hope all is well?

I haven't found anything interesting to post, so I'll just tell you about my cookery.

Made a vegetable stir fry with onion and celery sauteed soft in olive oil and a pinch of salt which brings out the sweetness of the onions.

Tossed in orange bell pepper, broccoli caps, mushrooms, and nappa cabbage.

Dressed it with mirin (sweet sake wine), tamari soy sauce, and sesame oil.

    Yum.

    Sounds interesting enough to me.

Do you deliver or only have take out???

And then there are the times they break your heart. Police? Really? Anyone who has a small bit of light to spare, we could sure use it right now
You are not alone, 1inMany. Been there. My heart goes out to you and your family during this time.

The hardest thing for a parent to realize, at least it was for me, is that their child/children have their own path and their own lessons to learn in this life. All you can do is love them and be there for them.

The pimple that was popped earlier today that didn't "bother" me was no pimple. It was, come to find out, actually more like the boil of the staph infection on the buttcheek of humanity.
