have chosen not to interject all along as it was not a need but now I will heed.

I have veterinarian/former-horse-jockey friend that is soooo strong-minded in the extreme and a self-starter and self-sustainer and an arduous hard worker beyond the beyond of over-taxing herself and energies...it is what she is.
Relentless is a good label, on herself and others when they are in her arena of tasks. She juggles more goals, immediate and long term than most people could even comprehend never mind put into action.
She is never wrong even when she is wrong she is never wrong.
We are good friends. I admire her like no other person in my life because there is no other like her. We have many similarities but it is the differences that come into play...she MUST get the last word, always, always, always even if it simply being an antagonizing and snide minute final word...she has to close it.
She is giving and good hearted but has an intenseness in areas that scares the sh*t out of many people...and she knows it, fully.
She did her best to 'monitor' her intense actions and reactions while I was around because she was grateful for the help that I was giving at her ranch.
And I could set her off with one word but did my best to allow the situations to just wane many, many, many times.
Her closer friends would pull me aside and say it is so good that you are with her...you're going to be around a while, aren't you?
Soooo she is what she is...as we each are...in all our glory and the lesser of it too.

Her very close friends simply saw a 'concession' in her rhythm that they had not experienced...and they liked it.

...and this will probably be the only 2 cents I'll offer in the here and now of this prompting.

Good job Ulli. Thread management is an art you do well. What is the cyber equivalent of biting ones tongue? Gluing one fingers? As a man who is a bachelor hiding in a marriage, it was respect for the peace of the village that stayed my hand on a few remarks. I am glad for it. I can be a smart ass and it was good to decide to not go there.

Although I occasionally forget to put down the toilet seat I mostly remember. Now if some would occasionally remember to stop yakking.......

That is my style Ulli I can't put a lot of soft stuff in my communications because because of reasons I mentioned repeatedly. Trust me when I say I do that to keep other people safe.

But I will take full responsiblity for this kerfluffle.

I should know better.

I take people at face value...still.

And I shouldn't.

I should have even known about the red ink thing because I once had a boss who would lose her mind when I wrote in red ink . She said she felt like when I used it I was criticizing her.

This is entirely my doing...I know better and I know I know better. .I know that when people say they have read this book, and the work of this person, and studied under that person, and have read this and this and this and that.

I know this often enough doesn't meant they understand the concepts in the works and people they studied with and applied them in a comprehensive way to themselves. I know this but I fall for and into my face value trap everytime.

So when I walk into that "I 'm taking that at face value and expecting to find what they claim behind that face...."and it's not there. I've crossed a boudnary. I've EXPECTED to find something that's not there and I start tearing the house apart looking for it. You said it was here, where's it at???

This is a lesson that I simply have a very hard time learning. But that's my crap. And that doesn't mean everyone else has to suffer for it.

And please remind me of that when I sound diatriable, if you would. I can't do anything about the writing style, that is to keep other's safe, but I can stop walking into this face value trap I create for myself again and again.

Remembering your own lessons is the way to go...once each and everyone can keep that in mind, and know their own mandate,
