I really love bees. I can't speak for the African ones but the NorthEastern ones and the bumblebees are just such sweet beings. Nectar eaters are my kind of critters. I love the humming/buzzing of them as well. Back in the day when there were oodles of them I could stick my head into a flowering bush, look for an empty flower to sniff and they would all just thrum around me like I was one of them. A fellow flower lover.

Since some here are still living in cities with not much hope of relocating to the Village, but are Villagers at heart..
I am posting this again...the future for cities is all about vertical farms...
who knows how transportation is going to be hit in the next few years.
    So here's your answer:

Ohhhhhhh Ulli! Thank you. It's too much for words .... the bees playing in pollen dust, fruits & veggies growing and ripening, and the BATS! I love those little critters, they do so much good ... they can fly in my hair anytime. Are those saguaro cactus flowers they are noshing on?

Modwiz, I believe the opening flower is an American Maypop (aka passionflower, as in the passion of christ). They grow wild here on the mountain, and I remember stomping on the fruits as a kid, to hear the pop, not a very respectful thing to do to such a nice plant. I have since apologized to the Maypop deva.

Yes, I forgot to mention bats, one of my totems. Both animals so under pressure from the poisoning of the environment. Just a little longer and things will turn around and their numbers will return again.

I rescued a bat from two cats I live with. It had gotten into the Tower and the cats espied it. A wing got a little nicked by no real problem. I caught it in my hat wearing a glove. I was able to look into its face and eyes. A bond developed at that moment. I now feel very comfortable when they dive bomb me on Summer nights, eating insects that I attract.

I was sent this link by my ex (we are very good friends). Called the Free World Charter. I think it may have been on another thread here before, not sure. Maybe in Wade's thread.

Yes, what should I be when I grow up. What would I love to do? Transpersonal teacher would be my first choice. I'd settle for yoga teacher though. Or teacher of anything for that matter, even electrical would be nice. Or writer - but that can't earn your keep, I'm told. Free energy device installer would be acceptable too. Or benign ruler of the world - if that position is open. I'd say that ruler's court jester but I'm not that funny. hehe

It does. I was told the same fable. What we are 'told' is far different than the truth of the matter. Is it easy? Depends on how much you like to write. Many of my posts, from as far back as...2003 have caught the eyes of people who want me to go off forum and write something to expand on any given topic.

Another fable: You will be rejected many times before you get a hit.

    Not true.

My first article was actually found on a forum , just a commentary on writing itself and was published by a well respected speculative fiction market. No effort on my part.

When I become serious about writing, most everything I had been told about it turned out to be false. For people who limit themselves in writing I suppose this stuff could be true.

All sorts of weird fables about writing. Neither is it true if you put a question mark on your opening pages of any given story will it be automatically rejected. But a lot of new writers tend to believe this rumor and then start creating their own self limiting beliefs from it.

Speaking of Tarot... my favorite is the Robin Wood deck. The artwork and symbolism are comfortable to me.
I just shuffled and drew a card for this moment. I am not sure if it's for me or for Ernie, perhaps both and others too.

    SEVEN OF CUPS

Interpretations are not mine, just copy/pasted.

Some Questions the Seven of Cups Asks Us:

--How do my life events serve as oracles?
--What if I approached every choice as if it were always the right one?
--What would my life be like if everything I require for my every success is always available to me?
--If my life were a giant pool of water, what kind of reflections would I see in it? (Consequences of choice)
--Am I distracted by the diversity before me? If so, how can I obtain clear focus?

'Robin's Seven of Cups features a woman with more-than-ample golden hair; locks intermingling with seven distinctively different cups, with interesting contents spilling/peeking out of each cup.

I really appreciated how Robin spoke of dreams as that which, "...all our goals and aspirations come, and this card represents the beginning of that journey. The seed from which they all spring, and the choice about which path to take." As children grow up, sometimes dreams and hopes for the future are squashed into the ground by well-meaning adults, teachers, professionals and peers around them. When a person isn't fully in touch with themselves and feeling rather unsure, it doesn't take much to watch one's own hopes and dreams go down the drain, based solely on naysayers/thwarters and so-called-practical-reasons. It's my feeling that fear...both fear within the person and fear governing those around him/her, has probably been the culprit resulting in more mega-dream-squashing than anything else. But as we continue to grow, hopefully we become better in touch with our own dreams and feelings and wishes. And hopefully, fear and negativity no longer rules our decisions anymore. Hopefully, we learn to trust our instincts and gut-feelings that we were born with.

Of course all dreams and no action, or no preparation for action, will not give positive, long-standing results.

Upright, the Seven of Cups may show that there are indeed many options to choose from and that one is not tied into just one path. It reminds me of the benefits of brainstorming (with myself and with others); looking at all the possibilities before choosing what's best. The Seven of Cups would be a most welcome card when one feels they're in a rut...as it can be a potent reminder for us to open our minds and hearts to new ideas, situations, relationships, etc.'

I even offered to pay expenses.

Unless he takes your advice about writing, and his career takes off.
I already stated that he is a great writer, with an amazing talent.
But of course, we all know that he fears success.

Success means putting dirty money into his pockets, money that has passed through other people's grubby fingers.
    Yucky, yucky.

Default Re: Here and Now...What's Happening?

Whatever, I get it. Like I said, no worries.

I just want to quickly touch on another area altogether.

Since starting this focus on the material thingie, I've noticed something strange. A passing shadow in the corner of my eye. It constantly catches my eye and I immediately think it's a person. But when I turn my head, no one is there. The last few days I have been secretly attentive to this apparition. I won't even admit what I'm doing to myself, until now. I don't want to make it happen - I want to figure out what is happening...
So I've watched this thing closely. Mostly, I see it behind and to the side above my head. I feel it. It makes my skin tingle around the sides of my face. Sometimes it gets itchy a little. I've almost "seen" it but I think my mind balks at fleshing it out - my mind resists giving me a mental picture of it.
It's like a "hole" that doesn't fit the background. When you look at the "hole" the mind just fills in the background instead. So you have to look fast to see it, you have to snap a picture of it. This is what I am trying to accomplish. I want to "see" in that "hole". See what's there. If anything.

I've always sensed "something" but never really troubled myself with it before. I know sometimes there is a mundane explanation - but not always. Sometimes I think it might be someone looking in on me telepathically, but other times it does not feel that way at all. Never fear or negative sense to it either - or love or a positive sense. No sense of affiliation, or of sentience.
And I've sensed negative presence before and positive many times, so I have a referent.

Any ideas what I might be "seeing/sensing"?

Perhaps latent "talent", I've been thinking lately. Too new to understand yet, perhaps.
Or technology...too much computer. Other waves?
    Not sure.

Lisa, I've never drawn 7 Cups before, but it does seem to fit my life at the moment. My takeaway is to replace dreaming with action! I also liked these two points:

--What if I approached every choice as if it were always the right one?
--What would my life be like if everything I require for my every success is always available to me?

They both set fire to my imagination and will to achieve my goals.

1IM, you were asking about shadow work. Astrid is the go-to person for shadow info, but thought I'd share mine too. I began doing shadow work about 12 years ago, but abandoned it. Here are 2 resources I found helpful then: (which I just dug out today)

Meeting the Shadow: The Hidden Power of the Dark Side of Human Nature. Edited by Connie Zweig. This book is a compilation of essays written by Jung, Joseph Campbell, Robert Bly, Marie-Louise von Franz, and many others.

    http://www.amazon.com/Meeting-Shadow...6571718&sr=1-1

'Owning Your Own Shadow' by Robert A. Johnson. It's a small book and very readable. If you want a gentle dip into reading this subject, I'd recommend this one.

    http://www.amazon.com/Owning-Your-Ow...6572228&sr=1-1

'Shadow Dance: Liberating the Power & Creativity of Your Dark Side' by David Richo is the one I'm currently working through.

If you don't want to buy a book, I expect your library has some good books.

    Love to you,
    Marianne

    Not sure.
You did this while I did that prior post...

Yes...I have experienced this intensely...as have others I know personally!

Actually...David Icke talks about it when he was writing his early books he was 'guided' to write. Someone, something always there with him...quick look time and again, nothing there, sense of being watched, sense of being accompanied.

I had it go on rather powerfully in that 3 weeks of high vibration...it has come to be my friend. It comes and goes still today in the now.
Others will probably go more in depth...but it is and was 'simply' a nudger for me.

Like "Hey, I'm here...nudging You...nope, you don't get to see me, no need, just look ahead and go!"

A friend who lives in Galicia, northern Spain, told me this story. A cloistered nun who entered the convent at age 16, left the convent with the permission of his superior. His father was ill and died . Since then, he has not returned to the convent. This woman has discovered a new world. The convent call back persistently. She is on Reiki courses, natural medicine ..... she is now 63, and discovering a new world. She'll never return to the convent.

The shadow self is not a concept exactly. Like an idea of the ego. It can project itself, just like other facets of ourselves will project outwards. Shadow self is composed of density. It is denser literally than something of yourself that is lighter. So it casts a shadow. The best way for you to understand this is that it casts a shadow into our aura. That portion of the aura being denser now is more readily seen,....espeically from the corners of the eye--- for a variety of reasons I will not go into here. But basically when one is shown their own aura their first attempts to view it are peripherally.

The more work we do on our density ...the shadow becomes less and less in relation to that. So this is a undefined form. When you begn to identify your feelings and beliefs don't be suprised if it begins to take on clearer outline or form. It is composed of projection. That is when it becomes more apparent, it's darker before the 'dawn'.

Given the placement and how you are seeing it, I woudn't leap to the conclusion you have an attachment , which is something someone may impose on you. A shadow self itself is composed of attachments to feelings and beliefs that don't serve us; I wouldn't completely discount it but due to the placement , its just unlikely. And because this is composed of dense feelings, it would be difficult at this point to be able to arrange that shadow into mental picture. Because it is composited of so many dense layers of emotions and even belief and feelings that oppose each other--confusion. One's mind has a hard time bringing into clarity a mental picture based on confusion.

Nice story, but I have to make some corrections.
Our English speakers might not understand what you are saying here, Dan, as like many other Spanish speakers you have confused the words "his" and "hers".
Don't worry, my husband does it, too.
    In these three instances:
The nun left with permission of HER superior.
HER father was ill and died.
Since then SHE has not returned to the convent.

The shadow conversation reminded me of a book I read years ago by Liz Greene called "Astrology for Lovers" which dedicated a chapter to each of the twelve signs shadows.
So I googled and found the whole book available for free online under Google Books.
    Here is the link:
