So, how DO we address overpopulation then???

I am going to answer this as a Canadian. There is no over-population. That planet is at present, completely mismanaged.

Eg:. Canada. Most of the population lives within 200 miles south/north of the Trans Canada Highway. Leaving a lot of the country empty. Canada is the second largest country in the world, Russia is #1.

There is a lot of space to occupy, a lot of land to be made arable, with FE making it easy, and as yet is UNDER-populated. I believe this planet can support many more billions. If organized well.

Anyone who got through Gr 6 can do it. That's if we can start over.

I honestly have never gotten a weird or bad vibe from Bill Gates.

I really don't think he is evil.

Why should I not feel this way? I trust my intuition very, very much & rarely, if ever, does it steer me wrong.

I agree....I believe that he and his wife are doing their best to help people.

And spending vast ammounts of money to do that.

So, how DO we address overpopulation then???

Put "rules" or, a form of coarse you have to go thru, and pass, before you're allowed to have kids.

IE:

the parents relationship is stable and isnt a short thing - a child is a big committment, if a couple cant committ to themselves why have a child?

The parents are given a series of tests, no offense, but our gene pool realy is contaminated with inbreeding (re: USA prefers inbreeding((1st cousin marriage)) over gay marriage) Ensure the parents arnt prime candidates for a Darwin award, and are mentaly fit, patient and understanding enough to look after a child well.

Income and living conditions - alot of people jump blindly into having kids, ie, when they have no income, living with their parents, etc. Parents must have a stable, clean, safe home and enviroment for their kids. The parents should be able to support the child 100% without govt or outside assistance.

1 Parent should be forced to "stay at home" from just before the child is born, untill the child is 10-15 or something. The excuse of parents not raising their children then playing the blame game is appauling, parents need to parent their children, and accept responsibility for their, and their childs actions.

All relationships may not work out 100%, in the case of ones where it just doesnt work out, nomatter what was tried - something needs to be done about how "child payments" are made. Currently they just slap this on the person with the biggest income, regardless if the person works 10hours overtime a week just to get the bigger paycheque. The child should be supported 50/50 by both parents, every of the "child payment" to be audited. This is also abused to hell, with the parents that have custody of the child spending the money on booze or drugs or unrelated stuff, and again the child suffers. this has to stop.


Remove all benefits from having kids. IE you have a baby the govt pay's you $7000. There are SO MANY PEOPLE that have kids just for the money, its not funny. Its not what kids are meant to be about and the child suffers because of it.


This one is probably not going to make me popular... but... Screen.. in a safe.. no invasive way if possible - the embryo/sperm to determin if the child has any
"defects' - ie Downs Syndrome, Cerebal Palsy, Chrons Disease, etc. This also ties in to my comment about our gene pool being messed up as well. If its known a child will be born with downs syndrome or other defects which will screw up their life considerably... "stop/fix" it. It's a hard one for me even, i know people with disabilities and they're wonderfull loving people, but given the option to forsee stuff like that and be able to change it - i'd change it. Trying to dance around the fine line here and hope it can be done just by analyzing a single egg and sperm and deducing what will pair with what which will result in "something" - so there is no abortion or loss of life - just in a way knowing that 1+ 1 = 2 ?





Impliment all of the above and i can guarentee our population count will go down, but not in a bad way. It just prevents/stops all the people whom should not have kids because they are not fit/compitent/mentaly capable/caring, but choose to have them anyway.

Should also improve quality of life greatly for the kids that do come into this world.


^ thats how you address overpopulation. Remove the "breeding like rabbid rabbits" - put a sensible, set of steps/tests that the parents must go thru if they want kids, for the child and parents sake. I have a gut feelign ALOT of people wont qualify to have kids... so....

Waaay back in college I did much study into non linear equations. I came across a formula that calculated max population of a few variables. I don't recall really how it worked or what all the input variables were even but when I did it for humans on earth it worked out to ~11 billion (addition: it stabilized at 11 after a peak of 13). I didn't ever really seem to understand the formula - the fact that it made a reasonably likely number gave me faith - take it with a grain of salt.
Our population isn't yet a problem, our ability to be controlled and the link of that to our population is the problem. I can't recall who said this (paraphrased): "500 years ago it was infinitely easier to control a million people than to kill them, today it is infinitely easier to kill a million than to control them."

The oceans have krill - billions of tonnes of krill. A valid food source. Monsanto can keep their lame GMO seeds and "super bees" -- let's go eat something else ...

It really is tragic, because I think vaccines can do a great deal of good, if they're not contaminated with bull****. I for one believe that the HIV virus was in the hepatitis B vaccine. And the vets of the first Gulf War that got so sick got sick with some mycoplasma, Mycoplasma fermentans incognitus, created by friends of the Bush/Baker clan in Texas.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think vaccines do not have to be bad. But yes, I believe today in the hands of Baxter Labs and their ilk, they are entirely evil.

Do you realise just how slippery that slope you've decided to traverse there is??? Before you knew it, the only people able to have kids would be the ones TPTB wanted to have kids (ie themselves) and all other childbearing would be forbidden or artificiallly halted.

I know you had the best of intentions in coming up with that idea, but surely you realised that it would be misused against us?
