What is most disturbing about this scenario and others like it, is that so many people continue to assume that the sources of their (dis)information, which continue to give them false hope over and over again, are genuinely benevolent ETs, but that they just aren't delivering what they could deliver, for some unfathomable reason.
And then it seems they often blame themselves for not being good enough, and this feeds into a lot of destructive self hatred and lack of self worth.

Why is it that they do not conclude instead, as the people who are sure there are indeed benevolent ETs and EDs that are here to help us as they may, but that they would never get up to such transparent shenanigans, nor make promises to be fulfilled on such and such a date?

Why do they insist on believing only in the most unlikely of scenarios instead of accepting that help can be given only when it is truly necessary and when it is truly wise to give it, for the good of all concerned? Why can they not see that benevolent and wise ET/EDs would not be so unwise as to make promises that they might not be able to keep? But that that does not mean that such beings do not exist?

It doesn't seem that difficult to make such a leap to reason and logic.

And what is also disturbing is that (and this case with Steve Beckow is a very good example), when their hopes that these Hollywood-like scenarios don't materialize, they also leap to the opposite conclusion, and blame it on the imaginary ET/EDs for not following through instead of looking to themselves and their propensity for being deceived?

It is this kind of behavior that does the most harm to the Disclosure movement.

Though Beckow says that the Disclosure movement is his primary concern, I would be more convinced of this if he would actually become an advocate for using much more discernment re channeled information, and make a thorough investigation of what have been his sources up until now, rather than dropping out of sight, as he claims he will do.

I would like to nominate him for a new role; using his connections and apparent dedication and resources to following the money trail to some of the sources who have been promising so much and delivering so little.
And doing some research on psyops, and on mind control especially, and bringing THAT kind of information to his followers.
If he is sincere.

That would certainly be a lot more difficult, and for believers in pie in the sky and the easy way out, such a choice is usually not the way.

But it would certainly be a good thing if those who have fallen for this kind of disinfo and have awakened to reality had a champion who could help to awaken many more.

There is a huge grey area here, of course, since so much that the real ET/EDs are doing is not obvious to us, thus making proof of their existence and their help very difficult.
And the disinfo agents are skillful in their operations, and do not seem to have much difficulty at least when it comes to deceiving the gullible and naive and the wishful thinkers.

I think it is the fears of these people that the worst scenarios might actually occur--WW3, etc., that cause them to hope for escapist scenarios.
When they see that the worst hasn't happened and that Gaia's journey to 4D continues apace, then the blinders will gradually fall away.

Although of course, what happens is still largely up to us in the here and now.
I think it is that responsibility that terrifies them the most.
It's so much easier to believe in a savior who will take care of everything for us.

Those of us who are awake and aware of this, will no doubt continue with the work of awakening and becoming more aware, and gently prodding those sleepers out of the gray areas and into the light.
Though hopefully that will not be so necessary in time, as the higher frequencies continue to manifest.

Meanwhile, I think it's important to understand that Fear is what keeps the sleepers asleep, and when attempts are made to scare them awake, or insult and ridicule them into awakening, the opposite effect is often achieved.
Those who attempt to awaken others by healing fear with more fear and abuse may be in more dire straits than the "believers".
And so these two groups have created a little hell where they go on tormenting each other, when what they need to find instead is common ground.

Perhaps 2012 will be the year when they find it.

I do not feel foolish. I feel like I have learned whose posts not to bother looking at!

I continue to be astonished at how people can, in one breath (or maybe two) 1) acknowledge that you have the right to your own opinion, and they theirs, 2) imply that their point is right and yours is wrong, 3) express hope that you develop some wisdom and learn to see things as they do, as their vision is true and yours, clearly, is not, and cannot be, 4) hope that you will wise up, because, indeed, you are putting everyone else at risk by your ridiculous naivete.

And more of the same. And over and over again.

I for one am not going to change in the direction they want me to go, because I see that as being quite negative, and I do not wish to go there.

I insist I am quite capable of critical thinking, a bit more so, in my opinion, than many who have stated their opinions-as-factual-reality on this thread. And I think differently than they do. And I do not want to learn to think as they do, because to me their bias is just that -- bias.

There is more information now. I just transcribed a morning talk with Linda Dillon and Grener, and far too many poor naive idiots on the conference call for it to work right. But I need to go finish that. And I don't feel like wasting my time putting it up here. I'm feeling kind of disgusted. Not with Grener and those fellows, but with some of my fellow Avalonians. I know there are many out there of like mind and heart to mine, but they sometimes are not as out front with their feelings and thoughts. Kimberley is! Many thanks to her! And Rahkyt. And there are others. Of course, Cellardoor and Ria.

But there are also all those others.

I'm getting kind of old here, and while some of you might think I haven't learned much, I think I've learned a few important things. And the most important one, probably, is that it is a mistake to try to impose your will on other people. Even when you absolutely know that you are right, and they are wrong. Most particularly when you are absolutely sure you are right and they are wrong. Because that particular point of view is the position of a closed mind, no matter how much it professes otherwise. If you know for sure what is so, and it cannot be otherwise, how can you learn anything? I think you cannot, at least not much.

So, deeply felt appreciation to some of you, and you know who you are. And I can more comfortably now ignore quite a few of you, as you are fixed, as an immovable object, in your positions and communication is thus pointless, as I have no desire to sit at your feet and learn whatever it is you think you have to teach.

I prefer to live in the world of possibilities, not negatives, and I am quite comfortable here.

I hope that people would stop believing in things like this, they get disappointed all the time and some might even get depressed. This is just ridicilous and irresponsible in my opinion. First I thought that it was kind of absurd and funny, but it's really not right to play with peoples feelings and hopes. I'm sure that Steve Beckow means no harm, but he should refrain from what he is doing just like Blossom did.

I don't know if we as a community of "truthers" have any reputation to keep, but promises like this sure do ruin it bit by bit.

But I still say a big thanks to our four intrepid Avalonians, who were willing to go for it. They always say that Truth can be stranger than fiction. Who knows?

The Bill Wood involvement is taking on a rather suspicious tone; it could all be just a ruse, so that no one is looking at what is going on in Syria today...and its connection to Iran, best buddies with Syria...get it my friends?

It's situations like these where you truely get to see a persons true colours,and whatever the outcome of this venture you should hold your head up high.
It is people like you and the others who show the guts and courage to put their neck on the line for what they believe in and without it i'm sure this planet would be left with very little hope at all.
Luckily their are many others like yourself who will probably be one of the many that drag humanity into the future kicking and screaming whilst so many others will choose to sit back behind a keyboard and condemn everything that sits outside of their comfort zone.
