The Out of Body Experience by Anthony Peake

Anthony Peake is a member of The International Association For Near-Death Studies, The International Association for the Study of Dreams, The Scientific & Medical Network and the Society for Psychical Research.

In January 2011 he was offered, and accepted, a research fellowship at the Giordano Bruno Global Shift University. He has also recently been listed as one of the 200 "Visionaries" for the 21st Century. He is the author of several books including The Out of Body Experience ~ 

Out of body experiences (OBEs) are those curious, and usually brief experiences in which a person's consciousness seems to depart from his or her body, enabling observation of the world from a point of view other than that of the physical body and by means other than those of the physical senses.

Thus, an out-of-the-body experience can initially be defined as 'an experience in which a person seems to perceive the world from a location outside his physical body.'


The sensation of leaving the body behind and encountering another level of reality is of the greatest mysteries of the human experience. In his talk, Anthony Peake will expand and elucidate on his research into different experiences linked to astral travel -- including the Near-Death Experience, Lucid Dreaming, Remote Viewing and Dream Yoga. He will show how all of these are all elements of the same phenomenon.

This tells us that the universe is far more complex than we can ever have imagined. Anthony Peake will also refer to the history of this fascinating subject and will show how recent discoveries in neurology, consciousness studies and quantum physics present a challenging new model of how consciousness interfaces with 'reality.'

My note: We are all interconnected and so are our experiences. It seems to me ~ some of these OBE elements, perceptions, and experiences might have something to do with many other aspects of our lives. Even now, we are spending more time in "dream-like" states as our bodies seem to require more sorting and shifting. Even an element of "channeling" could be related, as well as so many other "memories" we share. How much is coming from within us rather than without in the external world?

Which comes first, one must ask...and when we are asked to go within, where do we go? Well, I think this is all amazing and worth exploring further. Most of us have our own stories to add to this topic.

We are all ~ at least ~ ethereal time travelers, and we are coming to know we are multidimensional. We cannot yet imagine all that we are capable of but this represents some scientific aspects, not explored fully. It's new food for thought, so I wanted to pass this along to those who might be interested.

As our DNA (dormant) strands are activated, we are "remembering" more of who we are, where we came from and where we go when we are in other states of consciousness. It's very exciting when we realize the potentialities of our new morphing "State of Being." Imagine all that we may be capable of doing when we finally reach "Full consciousness" again. Wow. No wonder TPTW are so afraid. Their day and their power over us ~ has truly ended. Adios!

It is good to see that someone is applying 'science' to try and prove the existance of the esoteric.
Hope he will be sucessful, he seems on the right track.

interesting .. haveing had an Out of Body Experience myself around 6am in the morrning. i would decribe it as a very real awareness of being outside the body like in water. although i only sat up in bed looking around the room in amazment and at my hands before laying back down and sitting back up again in my body..im also told my grandmother had similar experiences in hostpital before she passed over..

my dreams can be like videos and once i reached out to turn off the TV which is when i woke up looking at the wall.

one thing that i love about it was the feeling i am now left with which is the fact the spirit is very real and part of which i started on this road i now on

Loved the vid, Darla,,, thank you. What an amazing, untapped potential. Anthony seems like a bit of an academic, but he is spot-on. We should all endeavor to understand ourselves through the OBE. Many of the challenges that face us in this world will pale in its level of challenge, once we can stand up as a race and 'realize' that we are more than our human bodies. All questions about 'spirit' or 'soul' can be studied without the burden of religions. I will be contacting Anthony regarding my experiences with the OBE. We are on to something here, folks!!!
