I love the one, "Dear Lord, protect me from your followers!"

My favorite band of all time, The Gang of Four, has a song lyric I simply love. It's "save me from the people who would save me from myself, they got muscles for brains".

One of Dr. David Hawkins' proteges exclaimed once that he had studied for decades. Buddha, Jesus, The Dao, everything, looking for answers. Then one day a bolt of lightning hit him (my guess is it was his association with Dr. Hawkins) and he realized it was all for naught. His deduction? Turn it over to God. All that study distilled to 5 words, so full of meaning only 1 in 1,000,000 could possibly understand.

"Johnny! Please wait until we say our prayer." said his mother.

"I don't need to," the boy replied.

"Of course, you do "his mother insisted. "We always say a prayer before eating at our house."

"That's at our house." Johnny explained. "But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook.
