A few months ago while in a deep sleep, I was awakened by a woman's voice that I have never heard before, as she called my name. She called my nickname and when I heard it, I bolted awake and sat up fully awakened. She then called it out again. It was so loud and clear, it sounded like someone was in the room....but there was no one there....that I could see.

I been awakened by voices too and sometimes, after I've been awake for a few minutes and just laying in bed. The voice is always speaking in just one of my ears.. like I can hear it on one side of my head.
Lately, I've been thinking a lot about consciousness, where it comes from, where it goes when we sleep and die. A possible explanation for the voices that come right as we wake up is that when we sleep
our consciousness is free and can tune into higher frequencies (or lower). While moving about in these other frequencies, we can contact and interact with other consciousnesses. As we begin to wake, our
consciousness gradually tunes back to our 3d frequency and the voice we hear is maybe the parting words... oh my, I know what I want to say, but, I'm getting sooooo wordy! Anyway, hope you get the idea! I tend to over think things..

So many possibilities... Spiritual, Neurological to Technological... I have experienced these "Voice of God" technology... it is pretty cool... But the voice or sound comes from in your head. Did you actually hear it coming from the room with your physical ears or another sense? There seems to be a lot of this going on lately.

I have similar experiences. Typically it'll be after I've had a very vivid dream and start coming to realize that I awoke.

I will usually hear "hey, where are you going?" and "Please don't go." So when I realize that I am awake, I feel as though I shouldn't be. That maybe I should be asleep. Depression usually follows.
