Here and Now...What's Happening?

What a day I'm having...

M has asked that I share this with my friends (you guys) to see if anyone has ideas what it means. She has dreamed of a lion twice either in the same night or at least very close together. This lion had "weird colors" in its main, it was not a lion she could reach out and poke, so she thinks a spiritual lion. And it was bigger than a regular lion, not in size but in presence. It did not try to hurt her, but she was frightened by it. In the first dream, she was upstairs in a house. As she was heading downstairs, she met the lion looking up at her from the stairs blocking her way. In the second dream, she and I were in a comedy store hiding from something or getting away from something outside. She could feel the lion's presence there, but couldn't see it. She could see smaller spiritual animals there, not common household pets but more exotic animals.

That's all she remembers.

I tried to look up lions in dreams, but I can't find anything remotely like this.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm defo no pro dream interpreter however..... given a chance to analyze I would venture....

"Weird colours" of the mane (I put in the u. Erocentric-pendant-r-us ) Weird as in multi-coloured? There are actually black maned lions. I have seen one in Botswana. edit: just read your post
Mane = male
The mane is used to intimidate.
The weird colours as well as the comedy store perhaps indicate that the threats may not be serious.
She should remain vigilant though as she is being "observed". Some-one-man is trying to block her from going/achieving what she wants. She should not be afraid to roar back!
Lions showing up also announce that emotional issues are being recognised and dealt with

More detail...the mane was an anime-type mane with locks in the red color scheme...red, orange, yellow...no cool colors, only warm colors. The colors of the lion itself were red as well, it did not look like a "real" lion in the shades of browns and tans and even black...none of that.

It is quite amusing trying to translate a 16 year old...must chuckle...

edit: further clarification from M...it was not realistic, and it was not pleasant looking. I think she means she could tell it was not a "real" lion. It did feel, however, extremely real, as in vivid. By pleasant, I think, she means it did not seem particularly friendly, but neither did it seek to harm her.

2nd edit: further clarification. Sorry. The lion on the stairs came from a hole in the wall, but not any old hole. If taken separately from the house, it would have been a normal camouflaged cave, but stuck in the side of a wall in a house it didn't really fit in. She says it reminded her of a portal.

Lions are great protectors, healers and in some legends come from the Star Nation. In some traditions they would say she is being given a medicine and that it is a sign of the time -the hear and now. Or it may be the beginning of something she is called to do.

In the end, it can be tied to one's experiences, as far as the actual representation (basic imagery) itself... and the main point is the talisman itself and the context within the dream.

My spider and lion stories.

In the 90s I was living in Penticton, B.C., in the interior mountains of the Canadian Rockies Range (gorgeous place by the way). While there a job came up to wire some plugs and lights in this, I think it was a, bike store. The place was an old refurbished barns - they had raised the floor about three feet to run plumbing, electrical, heating, etc. Some of the new wires had to go below the floor.

But the underneath was a nesting place for black widow spiders! I mean it looked like somethinmg from the Tales of the Crypt, with curtains of spiderwebs that had to be parted to slide through - and all while crawling along on hands and knees. But they told us that since it was still early spring the spiders were hibernating and not active. All I can say is I'm glad I was an electrician and not the helper...
Alfie, the helper, comes sliding back towards the opening after finishing the work with no mishaps, although I did have to go underneath myself to aid in the work after all, darn apprentices, and as he is about to pop his head out a spider, a black widow, lands on his shoulder! He freaked out but quickly brushed it off himself. He worked down there for maybe four hours, me an hour, with no incident until the very end. How lucky is that?


I knew how strong lions were but there was this documentary once that truly underlined that for me.
It was about a group of lions and the dynamics between the individuals and other species that hunted in the same area. Particularly this herd of hyenas. There was no friendship nor tolerence between those two.
Things start getting so stressful that it begins to affect the success of the hunting lions, all female of course. There are bloody wounds on both sides but no one is killed. A lioness has a noticable limp from one such injury.

Then a group of three lions are ambushed by the hyenas, one gets seriously injured and by morning, dies.
Up until now the male lions have roared a lot and half-heartedly loped after the hyenas from time to time. But with the death all that changed.

That same day, the day the female died, the male lion, the leader of the pack, went on a mission. He tracked down the hyenas, maybe twenty-five of them, and he ran right into their midst. Well, it would have been their midst but they all scattered - all 25 hyenas! Hyenas are not timid creatures. They are vicious and savage, with powerful necks and jaws - large heads.

But this male lion was grand, majestic. So powerful, its muscles flexing in waves. So graceful and deadly.

The lion chased the leader of the hyenas for, fifteen minutes?, maybe. But all out chased him. The hyenas tried to mount a defence at one point but the lion literally sent them flying with giant swats, claws racking their haunches and never broke stride, continuing after its quarry.

Finally the hyena could run no more and turned to face the lion. This hyena was big. The lion was huge! He stormed in and just ran over its prey, crushing its bones with purposeful stomps. I can't remember if he bit the neck too. After the dust cleared the lion was loping away and the hyena was dead. It was awesome, that power. And the obvious anger, and higher reasoning functions was also very apparent, to set a target, and single-mindedly hunt it down like that. That's high level functions for sure, both emotionally and cognitively.

It changed my mind about animals and their level of development.
Some animals are smarter than humans, I think.

In the middle of the dream cycle last night, there was a long, purple corridor which lotusblossom and I were walking down. We were met by "the two sisters", the Fae, and each of them carried a sack of wheat flower, probably about 15 lbs. or so, and they handed them to each of us, saying "This is what your bread will be made from."

Playdo was at the house last night, and many blessings were generated and sent out into the aethers. Good times.

It's always fun to be God's prime time!
