Exclamation a dilemma: the price to pay to seek the Truth (swallow the red pill/go down rabbit ho

"The cost of sanity in this society is a certain degree of alienation" - Terrence Mckenna

“Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.” - Mahatma Gandhi

I have to admit that nowadays recently,
all these "seeking the real, ultimate Truth" down the rabbit hole have somewhat alienated me from my so-called real-life friends, people around me, and even family, thinking that I'm starting to get more "strange, weird, unusual" and even "antisocial".

But since I will admit honestly that I'm still somewhat a newbie in all these real-Truth-seeking, sometimes I will occasionally got pulled back again, and even agreeing with all these "pragmatist, realistic, all-about-money, profits, status & materialism" society & like 99% people all around me.

The thing is: I'm just scared, very scared actually, that what if THEY're right: what if all these "Truth-seeking" journey, which is very risky, that I'm taking, is all just pure nonsense/B.S (according to the 'society'), it's not real (ie: "you're watching damn too much movies, alright?!..so snap out of it already and get REAL!"), and just a "lunatic" made-up fantasy/wishful-thinking and/or sort of an escapism from this "harsh reality (or real-world)" ?..

    But,...
thorough my constant research, even daily (that even I'm starting to abandon ALL my previously 'worldly' desires and ambitions, activities, etc),
and also from reading various good sources, such as this ProjectAvalon community for example, and most importantly, and strangely, feeling even more CONFIRMED that indeed there is *SOMETHING MORE* than what this so-called current "reality/real-world" seems to be on the surface,
I've just sort of come to the conclusion, or at the very least, FEEL strongly (or intuitively?..) that indeed: "these all can't be all bull****s/B.S" ! that indeed, the REAL reality might be stranger than it seems (or, "the Truth is stranger than fictions"), and that as I swallow more of the 'red pill' and go down the rabbit hole even deeper, I will start getting more & more alienated from the "real-world" society and all its 'shallow, meaningless' worldly ambitions, goals, targets, and activities..

and these days lately, I even started to feel that this is all perhaps really WORTH the price to pay!..

so,..after feeling like what I've described above,
    what should I DO now?...

hope to get some feedback and even perhaps some 'enlightenment' from all of you here.
    thank you~

The real world is nature, civilized world insulates you from the real with greed through materialsm. The contemporary social norms want you to compete rather than co operate for the percieved successes. Logically trust your self and the veil will lift from your senses. It is better to be amongst a few in the kingdom of reality than with many in the land of deceit. IMHO

Keep in mind that truth is stranger then fiction. Alienation from the Alien-Nation, may not be such a bad thing. You are now operating from another dimension as you see what they cannot. You are now, born again.

    Hi niki,

A very good question, and one that I have worked through for many years and seen others struggling with.

I'll tell you what I think is going on. When people start to look outside the system that we all know and are born into, we run the risk of being singled out, as like all beings we generally seek justification and acceptance as well as support, otherwise none of us would be posting on forums would we!

The freedom movement in general has unfortunately been led astray sometimes in it's unfolding by crackpots and fruitloops, and even scam artists, yet, these are few enough to ignore and look past.

Fortunately there are those who are walking this path, myself included, and I can honestly say that it has been a hard road to follow at times, especially if there are other family members involved such as partner etc who may not have the same ideals or thought process.

I can remember being rather overwhelmed by all the research an unlearning, re-learning, absorbing all the laws, statutes, ways of speaking, etc etc, and it completely enveloped me to the point where I was attracting more situations of a negative nature to test all this stuff.

What I realised that there is another way out of the rabbit hole. I don't like that the freedom movement and the strawman stuff is too often being associated with the iconic rabbit hole which is so deep you never see the bottom, as it offers no way out or solution.

Sure, the rabbit hole is deep and endless and has so many tangents, but at some stage you have to come up for air. I read all of Thomas Anderson's books after years of studying everyone else who's anyone in that area, and they made the most sense to me.

We moving to the country and started living as a sovereign being would, and the more time I spent just "knowing" I was free, the less that I attracted bad things until two years ago when it stopped completely. It was bliss.

For the past two years I travel freely, simply knowing that I am free to do so, and the ease of life is so much better just "being" and not thinking for one moment any negative thought that might attract a situation or incident I do not want.

It has been so good to not have to think about the matrix, or the rabbit hole, or what's down there. The rhythm of the natural world is very nurturing, and it supplies everything for us that we need, without requiring us to "pay". It only accepts gratitude.

And finally it makes sense of what Morpheus says to Neo when he asks him if he'll be able to dodge bullets:

Morpheus replies, "No Neo, when you're ready, you won't have to".

    Hi Niki,

maybe you find this fear processing exercise helpful. The point is, you don't get rid of fear by running from it or through seeking distractions, but by facing fear and staying calm when intentionally confronting it.

    Cheers
    Chris

Hi Niki.....you will find many threads on here discussing the issues you have brought up.....the alienation from friends/family always comes up........that's a big one. The problem is once you start to see behind the curtain you can no longer believe in the wizard on the big screen.....its just not possible to unhear something.....you can choose not to talk to people who don't get it about your new theories, that's why so many hang out here.......some have no one they know in person to talk to about it at all......but I don't think you can forget about it.......if you are waking up, then I believe it is time for you to do so.......its not like taking guitar lessons and then deciding its not for you......once you start the journey you will always be curious to know more........take what feels good to you and leave the rest for now.......hope this is somewhat helpful

The thing is, regardless of your"" should I"" "" shouldn't I"" thought process,,,,, Once you are down the rabbit hole, you really never climb out. You just look at the outside world through a window.

You are in that place of waiting for those around you to either "wake up or get it" or the next bit of information that will reveal even more for your conscious to handle. A little bit at a time is always better, however there are times when the knowledge will flow so fast, you will have to take a day or two, to actually process it all and decipher what you know in your heart is true.

God speed newbie, but you're on the right path.
After all, the search for the truth is an adventure/trial/and experience that will reveal what was hidden from you during your lifetime.

I have never related to the "going down the rabbit hole" phrase. Once in a while I feel isolated - certainly one does not bring up the "truth" topics at a dinner party!

You are, we are, in the right place at the right time. The Fear Processing exercises recommended above is good. A few minutes meditation a day to neutralize one's stress, some EFT

We are on a grand adventure...

Morpheus: I imagine that right now, you're feeling a bit like Alice. Hmm? Tumbling down the rabbit hole?

    Neo: You could say that.

Morpheus: I see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. Ironically, that's not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?

    Neo: No.

    Morpheus: Why not?

Neo: Because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.

Morpheus: I know *exactly* what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

    Neo: The Matrix.

Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?

    Neo: Yes.

Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work... when you go to church... when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

    Neo: What truth?

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.

Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

    Welcome Home, Niki,

These are some of my Golden Guides. They are in no particular order, or better yet, I'd say they are all #1 on the list.

    - Give yourself permission to be the Empowered Human that you are.
    - Form a partnership with your Higher Self.
    - Watch for the synchronicities. Watch for the synchronicities.
    - Listen within. Listen within.
    - Be the Heart.
    - Heart-Mind trumps small mind.
    - Laugh.
    - Feel the Joy.
    - Be honest with yourself.
    - There's nothing to do, be, or become; perfection needs no make-over.
    - You are already That I Am. Should you need to...spend time in it's discovery.

    Peace,
    WhiteCrowBlackDeer

Join the club Niki. There's alotta talk about the rabbit holes around at the moment. I would just like a plug for my children's book called "The Bunny Bunch meet the Christmas Bunny" it can be purchased at Amaazon.com. A terrific book for children aged between 6 and 9.

You betchya Niki. And besides, as you already know, once you swallow the red pill, there ain't no going back to Kansas. I know the Matrix references can get tiresome, but they're also so damn on the money. This scene of Neo being unplugged is so metaphorically correct, it still haunts me a bit to watch it, and remember. It was only 3 1/2 years ago for me.

Sounds like you're doing just fine, and by the way...Welcome Home...

I'm not much on advice, either asking for it or giving it, because I don't know sh!t, and neither does anyone else. I will just say this, as it's served me well thus far through the minefield we all struggle blindfolded through. Follow your gut instinct, literally the feeling you get in your solar plexus region that tells you if something is right for you or not. Learn to trust it. As a matter of fact, experiment, and see if you can ever prove it wrong.

Yes, I remember coming out of the cinema in 1998, after watching The Matrix, and my whole world had expanded beyond the physical. It was an incredible feeling, where I was aware of everything around me all at once.

Back at my workshop the next day, I was up on top of a large sculpture about 15 feet in the air. I suddenly remembered the line "There is no spoon", and without thinking, as I needed to get down off the thing, I just instinctively did a forward roll off the edge, and down onto a large table sitting below, without any impact pain whatsoever, it was like a soft landing, perfectly upright.

That still freaks me out as there is absolutely no way I could do something like that if I wanted to...but it happenned without thinking.

    ..Truth goes beyond words

"the process of discovery is much greater than the prospect of fact"
a little quote that just came to me, thought i don't know where it came from.

if you search for truth, with an open heart and mind i think you will find. , whatever truth is, (if you can put a definition to it (which i think would be hard to do)) it would be the same for everything everywhere, .... but also the different deffinitions -we- put to things, like light or dark among a multitude of others , are a matter of spectra.... so to speak, which is not untrue. don't read too much into what i say i am hardly down with words. but the concept itself of truth, i think is where you learn to follow your instincts to lead you to.. as you will go, into what is meant by concept ;truth, in essence and it entirety. .
truly.. what are truths, do they coalesce...? meaning combine ..how many different aspects are there to one truth..?
is not even about sides really..

    truth.. is Truth.

    all encompassing , all defragmenting

if you are not only words, images and concept, but also spiritual essence , you share your ponderings??

of course , you share them everyday..
Universe is here , will help you when/if.. ask , listen .

    Hi Niki,

I can relate to much of what you say here, and to be honest, I think the best thing to do is go by that good ol' compass we each have within, namely, your heart.

I know it's a coined phrase, but if you stay 'true to yourself' and follow your heart then you'll have no true regrets in the end; alternatively, if you try to lead your life trying to 'fit in' with the accepted norm or what others expect, then perhaps you'll forever be trying to be something you're not.

Ultimately, it's about love; love yourself and others. Even if they don't accept you or any changes in you then that is their decision and you cannot help that, as we all have to make our own way - how we get there is never the same.

Seriously though, your heart is your best guide - stick with that and you wont go far wrong.
