Wow, Dan33, where do you find these things?
And this shows exactly the point I was trying to make just now...when different dimensions get mixed up.

This being is the passenger in the carriage, of which the coachman represents the mind.
Removing mind would mean leaving the carriage driverless, and perhaps relying on the horses to find the way.
Brought this image up before and have yet to find a better metaphor.
    Beautiful metaphor, Ulli.

This came to mind: 1983, "Out on a Limb," Shirley MacLaine where she lets go of the steering wheel on a winding road. That was confirmation of knowing the impossible was possible.
That Shirley MacLaine metaphor is a bit different altogether,
as it is designed for people who are still inside their social programming.
That's who Shirley MacLaine was trying to reach and wake up.
To introduce her ideas of letting go, and trusting higher spirit.
This is a phase everyone has to pass through...empty the old cup, before adding new wine, or coffee or whatever....

My metaphor is for those who have already connected with their spirit,
let go of parental and societal control...
and are now studying the self as is, and exploring self awareness...
so that they can learn to distinguish between body, feelings thoughts...etc.

In the end the entity studying becomes the real self, in charge, and can take over from the ego driven driver.

So they are two entirely different things and mixing them misses the point each one wants to make ...
    as there are different levels.

Talking of levels...most misunderstandings on a forum like this stem from levels being mixed up....

even two people with years of spiritual training might be talking at each other,
and yet one is still speaking with their 3 D self, trying to make a valid 3 D point,
while the other comes from stratospheric heights. So it is hard for them to be on the same page
unless each announce to the other where they are coming from.

And just a short while later their roles are reversed, they have switched positions.
Because no one is in any given dimension for long these days.
We just have to watch out where we are in the here and now, and who we are talking to.
It was just a visual that popped in my head while reading your metaphor. No comparison. It's just how this brain works. A stream of clicking ideas and visuals. Good information here.

These days, my son generally has paint somewhere on his person, every day when I get home from work. And we are usually playing in puddles when the sun is setting, as the garden gets it's water and the old hoses make random puddles across the yard.

I contend that many of us, not just you and I, are having our here and nows mixed together like so much temper paint, on the flip side. I seem to be observing this both on the forum and in life all around. I have witnessed more psychic phenomena in the last few months than all the years previous. At the moment I am remembering Neptune in Pisces.

Question: is the difference between sidreal astrology and tropical astrology significant?

I know sidreal astrology is based upon the current location of the stars while tropical is not.

I would really hate to have to get rid of the scorpio tattoo on my back.

Keep your tattoo...I'm sure you are Scorpio.
The constellations were just road signs at the time astrology was first introduced to humanity.
The real basis has nothing to do with the labels pinned on a few fixed stars, as the energies are far greater...going all the way to infinity.
The spring equinox with 0 degrees Aries is when the astro year begins...and it's all geometry from there on.

I use sidereal as I found it the most accurate. It' so long ago that I now can no longer remember exactly why I do.

The best way is to practice on people whose lives you know really well, like relatives. Then you find out how it works...and can check your findings against your observations of their lives.

I found this page, and had a quick glance...but don't have the time to read through it all.
Looks like it gives a more detailed explanation than I could have come up with.

I have an astrology question Ulli. I've been looking at my chart as a way to learn astrology, and I noticed an oppositional transit on my natal chart.

Uranus 0 degrees 34' retrograde Cancer, opposing Jupiter 29' 23 degrees Sag. The blurb I found on it says, "Uranus Transits Opposition Jupiter
*Daily concerns and worries fade during this time period, and you become motivated by the need to become free of restrictions, obligations, and responsibilities.

+A restless time, which could find you trying new and unexpected ideas at the expense of the status quo, especially your career. You may feel like breaking out, getting away from the path you have taken up to now. Sudden breaks from the routine."

(Can't quite see that my daily worries and concerns fade ... ) (but yes, I was damn glad to retire early from my "career" LOL! )

Also what does it mean that it occurs in my rising sign, Cancer?

    Thanks, Sierra

The way to understand transits is like this: you take your birth chart...something which is fixed for life. Then you look at the planets as they are today, or any day you wish yo examine
and then you compare the angles to the birth position.
So since you were born with Uranus right at the beginning of Cancer, and the sun is now entering that sign, the sun will be conjunct your Natal Uranus. Not opposite. No opposition in your chart at the moment. The sun passing one's Uranus like this will happen once a year, and nearly always just after the summer solstice..every year it's the same.
Then take a list of Uranian key words like
    Uranus=Aquarus
    Uranus =innovation
    Uranus=surprises
    Uranus=shocks

the list is a bit longer, but just to give you an idea.
During this transit there will come to play any one or even all of those issues, but will only last two days at the most.

I checked and the current Pluto/Uranus square will not affect you directly.
Saturn has also passed your sun, which should come as a relief, but is at the moment making a right angle
to your natal Jupiter, and that can make you feel a bit confined and down, but don't worry...it won't last long.

And we love you, too, Belle. Ok, I admit the initial rules have been changed.
If I were to follow them I would again mention the noise of the river, the humming of the fridge, the fact that I feel no aches and pains at this moment....
but overall am experiencing a sense of peace and comfort that I feel everytime Anita, my weekly maid, is here and cleans house for me.

This may then get censored by another part of me that is compelled to contribute something new to the other Villagers,
so as not to bore them. After all, we have something good going here, and entertainment does factor in when it comes to unity. As does mutual support.

I think it is nice that we are discussing these issues, especially as we just yesterday passed the 400,000 views mark and I didn't even notice until now.
Imo, this thread has evolved organically, as it well should. All things must grow and blossom or stagnation sets in and a slow, lingering death occurs.

I was trying to share the reason for my lack of posts, obviously poorly done. I must say that it did take a while to understand why I had so little to contribute. But it comes down to the fact that so many Villagers have so much to teach and add, and I am not one of them....and that's okay. It's just a matter of who I am and how I function.

Of what interest is there that I've noticed the leaves on all my plants are raised much higher toward and following the sun, like they were receiving something extra that they wanted more of...and that I'm beginning to feel the same way. Or that, though I've noticed the suns movement across the sky changing a bit for the last few years, this year I have had to move my garden since the areas that were once in full sun now get mostly shade. Or that what I focus on is manifesting at an incredible rate of speed. Or that when I raise my vibration before encountering others, dark shadows speed past me and leave the area.

I don't understand what causes these things to exist and I don't really need to understand. I'm happy just to observe as objectively as possible, and remain in awe of the many connections between nature and spirituality, for the energies of both are growing and changing.

I don't feel "left behind"...I am grateful that the evolution of this thread has caused a part of myself I hadn't understood before to be revealed.

At risk of sounding cliche...it is what it is and it's all good.

You explain it all so wonderfully Ulli. Thank you!

To the extent that personality is malleable and the zodiacal chart is like the physical wiring of the body which is like our hard-drive, while the mind and will-power is the software that can over-ride the hardware if it becomes necessary, I have always 'fit' my Natal chart, being Sun and Ascendant in Scorpio, Moon in Libra with about 3 more signs in Scorpio throughout. Learning about Sidreal astrology and that, in that system, my birthday on November 1st would be considered Libra, put me in a sort of a panic as to whether or not it was some sort of sub-conscious 'patterning after the template' sort of thing, as if I purposefully became a Scorpio as a choice rather than biology.

A related question, one I've never found an answer for except in a book on Astrology I read many years ago, is how the body is physically imprinted with the pattern for personality structures that the zodiac represents. I've read that it occurs at conception. According to that theory, it said that the sun has 4 electromagnetic patterns that it goes through in one of earth's solar years - something about the sun's rotation on its axis, it's di-polar magnetic field and other aspects of its energy output - each of those broken down into 3 distinct sub-patterns, and the 12 stages of energetic emanation that then bombard the earth during the year result in the imprinting of the fetus with what amounts to the patterns of the zodiac. That was a theory I've never seen repeated anywhere else. Most things I've read state that our signs are determined at the moment of birth.

    I don't knoooooooowwwwww ... but I wannaaaaa ....

Do you see them out of the corner of your eye? Or rather, the outer ranges of your vision, maybe above, to the side or even below? They flit really fast? Even in sunlight or bright indoor light?

    I don't know either, and I don't wanna know...I'm too old.
Like saying palmistry works....which it does....
    but not my path.
    How does it all work?
    Ask Carmody.
The "as above, so below" rule reigns supreme, and as long as any system is wholeness-based
    it will reveal truth.
The only thing one has to do is follow the path with heart, not just mind.
And then try and find a valuable application, one that helps.

Cliche time here: If it does good, it IS good.

(Can't quite see that my daily worries and concerns fade ... ) (but yes, I was damn glad to retire early from my "career" LOL! )

Also what does it mean that it occurs in my rising sign, Cancer?
    .
    I had another look:

this supposed Uranus (in Cancer) opposition Jupiter (in Sagittarius)
First of all, it is not a transit.
They are both in your natal chart, also called birth chart.
Then there is this glitch, your natal Jupiter is not at all at 29 Sag, but at 23 Sag...hardly an opposition.
Unless one allows for an 8 degree orb- not advisable with outer planets.

So you were born this way. One thing I am sure of, IF that opposition had really been exact I doubt
you would have stayed on Avalon longer than 5 days as it makes a person hyper-active and restless to the point of neurosis.

Hi Belle, excuse me for c'ing my way into an a b convo but something you said caught my eye:

    Quote Posted by Belle (here)
Or that when I raise my vibration before encountering others, dark shadows speed past me and leave the area.
Do you see them out of the corner of your eye? Or rather, the outer ranges of your vision, maybe above, to the side or even below? They flit really fast? Even in sunlight or bright indoor light?
I used to see them in my peripheral vision, like they were kind of flitting here and there, but staying in the area. In the past year I've begun see them quite clearly, but rather than stay in the area, they leave. They flit, almost fly, depending on the form, fast but not so fast that I can't get at least an outline of them. And, yes, I can see them in any light or dimness.

For example, the first time I saw one clearly was when I was filling in for a friend at a small concert being held in a fairly large church. The accoustics were amazing, and as I was warming up on the piano, a very large dark grey, almost black, bird-like figure suddenly appeared in the upper rafters in the loft area, flew straight at me at a fairly high rate of speed, swerved away just before it would have come in contact with me, and continued to fly out the side door. I had already felt a negative energy coming from that area which caused me to raise my vibration, so it didn't take me completely by surprise or make me flinch, but the fact that I could see it so clearly did. The whole while I continued playing like nothing was happening...all I'd need is for the guys to think the newbie to the group was losing it. No one else saw anything.

There are also "opal" colored energies I see in my peripheral vision at times, but have not seen them clearly yet, and I haven't sensed negativity from them yet. There are some dark shadows that exude negativity, but not all. The ones that take form and leave tend to be negative.

Still don't know what they are, but interesting, yes?

Are you beginning to see them as well, Rahkyt?

I just want to say thank you to every single statement in this post. And add one more thing...in view of this theory that not only is beauty in the eye of the beholder, so also is everything else. And you noticing organic growth here means that you have grown as well, and knowing that just "made my day", to stay with the theme of cliches.

I hope Modwiz gets a good laugh out of this when he comes back, and doesn't take it " the wrong way"... Hehe....
