Here and Now...What's Happening?

I could see what NO ONE else could see. A boy, Jn, who was around 13 or 14, was schizophrenic. His voices told him to do really awful things, and oh! the struggles that poor soul had...every moment of every day. You know what he had in him? The ability to do intricate blueprint-like drawing. He could have become a very successful architect. Everyone else - even the adults - saw a freak, someone who needed to be hospitalized and didn't belong around all these other kids. Jn's younger brother, C, was what they labelled a "selective mute." Oh, the things he had seen and experienced at the age of 10...a life's full of trauma I suspect. I looked in his eyes, the very first time, and I saw the sweetest soul. Childlike and afraid. And I reached out my hand and he hugged me. Day one. And in the few short months I knew him, he was making such strides based solely on trust and feeling safe. He was communicating with me...oh, he hadn't spoken verbally, but he was communicating. Nodding, giggling, letting me know his preferences....

And, the boy "B"...who became one of the most loving mentors to the younger kids in the school. He tearfully handed me a piece of paper one day. Front and back were full with his handwriting in pencil. He poured out his heart about the first time he killed someone...was, if memory serves, in the Latin Kings gang, quite violent and cruel they were. You see, given the chance, these kids would give so much of their hearts to the younger students with the intent that the younger students NEVER join a gang. And they came to these places in their lives because I did not judge them...the drugs, the belonging they felt/did on the street...I told them, every one, "Who am I to judge you? You do what you need to do to survive every night of your life. And because you survived, you are here in front of me today." Not a single one of them would have chosen the streets, the streets chose them. But each one had a talent and a drive, and they were being steered back into feeling loved and valued for who they were...not thrown out like yesterday's garbage.

Eek...I apologize...I am rambling. I'll stop now lol...

Well, shart, okay...

These souls were capable ... are capable ... of showing their light to the world. First, they need help realizing there is truly a light in there... One time, my own daughter was the victim of a crime at the hands of a teenage boy. One of the students in the school, in the leadership program but not one of "my" students, came and asked, "Ms. Jinjer...you know who did this? You want me to take care of it for you?" EEEEEEKKKKK....N-N-N-N-NOOOOO."

I almost went back and deleted these posts. I am struggling with this because I am a little off the thread focus...

In two years, the district had never received ONE SINGLE complaint about me. No one here probably realizes this, but that is absolutely unheard of. Every special education teacher or coordinator gets a complaint now and then. Nope. So, what did the district do? They came to me with the instruction to go through the students' files and re-code them. The coding of students was/is, of course, tied to the funding of the school.

First of all, that's illegal. Secondly, there is no way in hell I was going to stop loving these kids and providing exactly what they needed. So, they retaliated...took away special education services from one of my daughters (which is also illegal) and took away high school credits earned from my other daughter (which was illegal)...and that was only the beginning.

I fought for my kiddos until the day I was fired. I fought until I could fight no more. The governmental department that oversees all school districts (Texas Education Agency) was on my speed dial. The district got violation after violation. And I was invited to attend a forum in Austin about the process...only a handful of people from across the state were invited.

In the end, the school had to make many, many changes....and had to be educated in legal practices. And, I was awarded back pay. And every single student I had paid for it.

That, my friend, is why I don't teach.

Oh, gosh, I am mentally kicking myself for coming back to this keyboard. If you please, indulge me in one last? I promise to stop, I do. This is a story of the power of love. The power we each have to make a difference. To just one human being, it illustrates how you never know how your words or your touch will effect someone. So, please, just for today, smile at someone...look at them so they know someone sees who they really are.

J was a teenage boy, 17 I believe. Had a jail record. He came to school reeking of pot, but only on a rare occasion would he be high. He did not take care of himself, usually looked and smelled like he could use a shower. And, oh, did he need to brush his teeth. I saw him doodling one day, he was drawing skulls and marijuana leaves and guns dripping with blood. The kid could draw. I asked him what he wanted to do after high school. He thought maybe do tattoos. So, I asked to see more of his work. He brought in all these scraps of notebook paper, ripped off of all kinds of papers. I gave him a 2" blue binder and some sheet protectors, and we made a portfolio. I asked if was looking at any tattoo places to see about internships. He didn't have a clue what these were, and became...well...excited at the prospect. He didn't care if he would be paid, and was really excited that he could have a future...especially one he would enjoy and make money at doing.

I asked about this future he had just imagined...where would he live? He talked of leaving the ghetto, living maybe even in a little house. He wanted to leave the apartments his family lived in because he was tired of finding his friends shot or stabbed to death, police noise and ruckus in the middle of the night, always worrying about his sister. As we talked, I led him through what it would take to realize his dream. He first thought money. But, money's everywhere, that's not what is stopping him. I asked if he would fit in, no changes to him self, no personal growth, with where he wanted to live and the life that his heart longed for. He said no, and we talked about what changes are within his power to make.

About a week later, J came in and I almost didn't recognize him. He had been clean and sober for several days, hair was wet from a shower, and he had quite a pungent cologne on. I didn't want to embarrass him, but said he looked nice. A couple of weeks later he started coming to school every day with new injuries...a bandaid here or there, a new black eye...always something. I asked him about them finally. He had gotten a job at McDonalds a few blocks from his apartment. And every day on the way to work and on the way home he was jumped, because the only way to get there from home was by going straight through an area where rival gangs lie in waiting.

A few days after that, he brought in his first paycheck. It was $67 if memory serves, and the boy looked like he had one the million dollar lottery. And, he was boasting, he had been sober for 32 days.

I still get goose bumps.

When I was packing my desk into boxes and rushing them to the car, a man waiting to escort me from the building, I found J's McDonalds name badge. I cried. I still have it.

After I left, he returned to the previous life...family never knows where he is...and I found out that his mother died shortly after. Cancer. The pot smell was from her.

It just takes seeing what is inside.

I, too, have always seen and felt presences...conscious, intelligent and aware. Some of what I 'see' I believe are disincarnated beings or people who have passed on...I can feel their personalities as well as their presence.

The energies that dart about in my peripheral vision I believe are multi-dimensional beings/energies who are perhaps functioning at a higher vibration or frequency than we tend to be. It may be why I see some of them when I raise my vibration...but who knows. I no longer try to follow their movements...it can drive you nuts!

This is another thing that I accept and allow to be....it's less distracting that way.

LOL Yes, it can drive you nuts or at least make you look crazy! The thing is, the quick movement sometimes looks like birds in the sky or animals in the grass or on the street or in the house, but I`m starting to get it now. This conversation is taking me back to childhood and my first memories of this, and also, why I repressed it. I can remember lying in the bed at night on the military base, Iraklion Air Station, on the isle of Crete, Greece, lying facing the wall with my back to the open space and feeling a consciousness there, observing me. Absolute terror, knowing something was there but that it was not physical. On top of that, to begin experiencing sleep paralysis, my body going numb, vibrations filling me, if lying on my back, a weight seeming to settle on my chest. All of this taken together, it is little wonder to me now that I spent years following that fighting sleep paralysis and totally repressing the memory of watching the shadows dance and knowing nobody would believe me.

I`m sure you`re right about what the energies are, although I wouldn`t say that I can see ghosts, I don`t get that sense. They always feel alien and inscrutable, I don`t feel noticed at all, it`s as if I am just observing the regular passage of time, watching the traffic as it goes about its business, beyond my ability to understand. I can understand why such siddhis have often been considered distractions to a spiritual path, especially if the key of understanding is eventually included in the experience.

Many years ago I went to see a well known astrologist. The days when boyfriends/jobs/wealth were all consuming. She is very thorough and the day before my appointment, her assistant called to tell me that my chart was a little wonky and wondered if I had the exact time of birth, and couldn't I please check. I advised her that I have my birth certificate and the time was indeed correct. I did not share that I had a twin, then. The next day, when I arrived, it was her first question. Natural birth, I am 7 minutes older. Overlapping happens.
Anyhoo, even though we may look the same, enjoy similar things, and are best friends, our energetic signatures differ. And we did not have parallel experiences.
Having both attended the same enneagram workshop: Revealing the strategy of the ego, we were allocated different labels too: me the social 8, and my sister the social 6.
So my theory is: its a seed pattern, illustrating an individual’s potential. Facing contrasting challenges, we experience diverse lessons. Choices also define the path.

i have been able to see such things since I was little. Well, let me amend that. I can remember being in bed as a small child and sensing a presence in the room with me and knowing it was the shadows. I never thought it was monsters, I knew it was the shadows that were the source of the consciousness that was close by. Those memories correspond with the onset of sleep paralysis, when I was about 8, 9 years old. Repressed the memory of that knowledge for decades but relatively recent events have opened me up again. Now I see all kinds of things out of my peripheral vision, things flying overhead, things sitting in corners, things going in and out of walls. My meditation sessions get all hazy white, the ground moves, furniture bends shapes energetic forms come out of the floor and go through the roof, milky things float past me (I generally meditate with my eyes open) and, when I close my eyes, geometric patterns and waves and blobs of energy do all kinds of crazy gyrations. Very helpful in my energy work, but it can be a bit distracting when you're doing or saying something then whip your head around to catch what apparently cannot be seen directly.

On the tv show, Fringe, Dr. Bishop once said that dimensions are different degrees distant from direct vision, he said 90 degrees, I think, which means that seeing things out of the corner of our eyes means we are seeing into the next closest dimension or something to that effect. I've read that elsewhere as well, but I went looking for the source a couple weeks ago but couldn't find one. Maybe someone here knows?

I don't know what any of the stuff I see is for sure. But I know a lot of it is conscious and intelligent.

Well, in my personal experience of crossing the barrier between dimensions and time, the geometric patterns are key.

The energies cross through the dimensional boundaries by being frequentially and vibrationally connected. Oscillations, differentials. So the essence is the geometry of music or organized data, or organized intelligence.

It's vortex in, and vortex out, and they form a 'quanta'. And this is frequentially and geometrically related to the next quanta, and across dimensions.

Seeing geometric patterns is, in my experience, a key component. IMO, This is why the Freemasons have a black and white tiled floor in their temples.


Tesla dreampt of geometric patterns and mandalas, every time he closed his eyes.

He was witnessing the engines of creation in their raw form.

I read your post twice searching for the reason why you will never teach again..I thought it would have been worthwhile to continue, given the amazing results..
Huh? What did I miss?

This, my friends, is why I will never teach again. I let my certification expire.
I cannot imagine any other school in the world allowing this,
but truly it is the way these particular kiddos became algebra wizzes...

Gifted teacher is a threat to those that see them "as rocking the boat".

She pounds her fist as she continues, "You must follow the script layed out in this here declaration of goals and objectives that we, the teachers, all put together in stupid, time filled meetings that only a few really did the work while the rest discussed where should we go for lunch?" (too long a sentence - screw it)

Those are the teachers that are called to the principal's office to hear justification as to why you went off script. Where they, the establishment, twist each word of Truth to be use against them.

Or so, I've heard. I could be wrong. Carry on 1inMany and Ulli.
