Default SCOTUS declares it's alright to tax people and give those taxes to private industry.

A new and dangerous precedence has just been set. Talk about a slippery slope.

And on top of it, what happens when those employers who have been paying for health insurance as an employment benefit figure out how much money they can save by letting the employees pay for it instead? Will they adjust incomes up accordingly? Lol - I think not.

This is going to be a mess.

Medicare For All would have been the solution.

    Welcome to Canada.

Our taxes are just higher to cover medicare. However, no hunt for jobs because we are not covered, everybody is. A mess?? I do not think so, not here. (and no, I am not a socialist).

Sorry, Flash, I can't tell what yoga re trying to convey.

We are going to be taxed and the taxes will be handed to private health insurance companies, not a government health insurance program. This isn't like the CA system at all. I wish it were.

We ave the power to vote over where our money goes within a government (to a point) but no power whatsoever to control what happens in a private company.

yes you are right, I did not catch the taxes were going to be given to private health insurance company. It does change the situation quite a lot from a Canadian perspective as well, our taxes being given to government run hospitals and health care systems.

I'm shocked at the number of people buying into this as a "good thing" e.g.

    ====> Very thought provoking & poignant ...

This is an Insider's View of OBAMACARE from his Hospital Bed.

From Washington Insider on The Ulsterman Report

“To my dying breath I will not go quietly into that good night. For so long as my heart beats and my mind remains aware enough to contemplate and execute strategy both near and far, I fight on. I fight hard. I fight, as always, to win. But this time, I fight for a cause far greater than my own self interest. In this I have finally learned what it is to serve others. An old dog has learned, albeit much too late, a new trick.” -WSI

    My friend,

The day grows long. I hold on selfishly to each moment, each minute, trying to draw the following one out longer than the last. There was, shall we say, an “episode” but, as those in the medical profession are so fond of saying to me these days, I am now “stabilized”.

I watched the subsequent reports come in. I received a message very late yesterday indicating the Obamacare ruling would on its surface, disappoint conservatives and embolden the progressives. And true to that message, it did just that. My heart sank. I wept for this country today. And I fear the tyranny that now looms over each of us. It is a tyranny more damaging than the poison they inject into my body. A tyranny that too many remain oblivious to, while others embrace with such enthusiasm for they know it to be the hearkening of the darkness, the very thing they have wanted so badly for so long.

What the Founders built and so many patriots have defended, THEY will destroy.

Our friend declares this a victory for the campaign. That within the Supreme Court decision there is to be found some great political advantage. This is no time to play politics. I am not endeared to such a dangerous and foolish game as that. Not now. Not at this turning of the tide. Again I remind you of what remains for me, a history both recent, personal, and painful. More pain than I endure even now, for it is the pain of a generation wiped from existence. This is no time for a Munich style agreement that abdicates the fundamental and foundational rights of Americans to live free and prosper as much as their own ambition and good fortunes might take them. Chamberlain played politics at another turning of the tide, and Hitler devoured the world for it.

My heart tells me such a moment took place again today. But I remain hopeful. For just as America rose to the challenges that engulfed the world that was my youth, so too can we all now do the same today. At that time the United States saved the world from the tyranny of others. Now it must save itself from a tyranny that comes from within.

Evil exists. Evil is what we face. An all encompassing, ever moving, always hungry, evil.

    They are Legion.

To my dying breath I will not go quietly into that good night. For so long as my heart beats and my mind remains aware enough to contemplate and execute strategy both near and far, I fight on. I fight hard. I fight, as always, to win. But this time, I fight for a cause far greater than my own self interest. In this I have finally learned what it is to serve others. An old dog has learned, albeit much too late, a new trick.

The Man calling himself Obama will not be re-elected in 2012. The America that was, will be again. It will not vote for this thing a second time.

And to that end, I cling to the hope of seeing that great moment. To assist, however I can, to leave this country in hands far more capable, responsible, and well meaning than the hands that now rip the flesh of America from its own bones. This will not stand.

Just an observation. I have noticed that abbreviations or acronyms are used when there is a want to illicit negative feelings about something. People don't like the TSA, FBI, CIA to name a few. I honestly do not recall the President of the United States being called the POTUS until this current one. I have NEVER heard, nor seen a reference to the United States Supreme Court being called the SCOTUS until this year.

Just thought I would point out how the narration of our news is being slanted to give us a negative outlook on the discussion
