Medicare For All would have been the solution.

We are going to be taxed and the taxes will be handed to private health insurance companies, not a government health insurance program. This isn't like the CA system at all. I wish it were.

We ave the power to vote over where our money goes within a government (to a point) but no power whatsoever to control what happens in a private company.

yes you are right, I did not catch the taxes were going to be given to private health insurance company. It does change the situation quite a lot from a Canadian perspective as well, our taxes being given to government run hospitals and health care systems.

The day grows long. I hold on selfishly to each moment, each minute, trying to draw the following one out longer than the last. There was, shall we say, an “episode” but, as those in the medical profession are so fond of saying to me these days, I am now “stabilized”.

I watched the subsequent reports come in. I received a message very late yesterday indicating the Obamacare ruling would on its surface, disappoint conservatives and embolden the progressives. And true to that message, it did just that. My heart sank. I wept for this country today. And I fear the tyranny that now looms over each of us. It is a tyranny more damaging than the poison they inject into my body. A tyranny that too many remain oblivious to, while others embrace with such enthusiasm for they know it to be the hearkening of the darkness, the very thing they have wanted so badly for so long.

What the Founders built and so many patriots have defended, THEY will destroy.

Our friend declares this a victory for the campaign. That within the Supreme Court decision there is to be found some great political advantage. This is no time to play politics. I am not endeared to such a dangerous and foolish game as that. Not now. Not at this turning of the tide. Again I remind you of what remains for me, a history both recent, personal, and painful. More pain than I endure even now, for it is the pain of a generation wiped from existence. This is no time for a Munich style agreement that abdicates the fundamental and foundational rights of Americans to live free and prosper as much as their own ambition and good fortunes might take them. Just an observation. I have noticed that abbreviations or acronyms are used when there is a want to illicit negative feelings about something. People don't like the TSA, FBI, CIA to name a few. I honestly do not recall the President of the United States being called the POTUS until this current one. I have NEVER heard, nor seen a reference to the United States Supreme Court being called the SCOTUS until this year.

Just thought I would point out how the narration of our news is being slanted to give us a negative outlook on the discussion
