It appeared overnight, a mysterious snake-like crop circle weaving across a wheat
field in Wiltshire.The 350ft-long installation is marked out of a field near the 200-
year-old Alton Barnes White Horse chalk figure.Dubbed a Venus 'sunfish', the circle
is thought to capture the 'transit of Venus', an astronomical phenomenon which
began last week and will continue until the beginning of July.

Crop circles continue to fascinate enthusiasts, but whether they're made by aliens
or people with GPS devices still remains a subject of debate for some. The
geometric patterns range in size from a few inches to hundreds of feet across and
have been as large as 200,000sq ft.Stalks are bent down around an inch above the
ground before the plants are laid in precise patterns. In recent years, a booming
tourist trade has developed. From Belgium, Holland, America, Norway and
Australia, crop-circle spotters or croppies come in their thousands — each with their
own theory, each rushing to a new site as soon as it is reported.Wiltshire is known
as the capital of crop circles but why the county plays host to the vast majority

Thanks starchild I'm not sure of its validity, although the airiel view internal pattern of the circle looks like
they were made neatly as there is a diamond shape left in the middle of each circle varying in size
in relation to the diameter of said circles .....

The main reason it surprised & enouraged me was the lack of riddicule and the pleasant way it was
reported as a ongoing phenomenon whether man made or not ....

The National Geographic has shown how pretty decent crop circles could be done
by capable and motivated individuals (see the picture of a man-made formation
above), researchers can point to numerous aspects of the phenomenon which defy
explanation by conventional means. These include magnetic anomalies,

The Mayans divided any 584-day cycle of Venus into four distinct parts visibility as a "morning star" for 236 days, lack of visibility near superior conjunction with our Sun for 90 days, visibility as an "evening star" for 250 days, then lack of visibility near inferior conjunction with our Sun for 8 days.
Many of us just witnessed a remarkable inferior conjunction between Venus and our Sun on June 5-6, 2012 (see www.arksky.org or www.youtube.com). Everyone across the whole world watched, because it was also a rare transit (or eclipse) of Venus across the face of our Sun. Four days later on June 10, Venus rose again in the east just before sunrise, as a "morning star" close to Jupiter and the Pleiades (see earthsky.org). Now at Woodborough Hill on June 9, 2012, an unknown crop artist has portrayed the clever metaphor of "planet Venus as a sunfish": rising up and away from the Sun, to become a new "morning star" on June 10 at sunrise. Three different "sunfish" motifs were drawn in crops, each showing a different number of circular "wake bubbles" behind its "broad tail".
The first sunfish at upper right shows a bubbly wake with 3 + 3 = 6 circles, while a second sunfish at upper left shows a wake with 4 + 3 = 7 circles. A third sunfish at lower left shows a wake with 4 + 4 = 8 circles, divided into two equal parts of 4 plus 4. Those "bubbles in a wake" seem to represent days of invisibility for Venus, close to our Sun for 8 days in total, or for 4 days on either side of inferior conjunction. Their respective totals of 6, 7 or 8 days (past June 2) suggest calendar dates of June 8, 9 or 10, 2012. The third and largest sunfish shows 10 small wedges in its "nose", again suggesting a date of "June 10".
Two large "body fins" from each of those crop "sunfish" appear slightly less than symmetric. That may be because a real, ocean sunfish has an upper fin which curves slightly forward, and a lower fin which curves slightly backward. In addition, two of those crop "sunfish" show small "gill fins", which curve correctly along their trailing edges.
We can learn more about this unusual artistic metaphor, by studying the astronomy of Venus on those particular dates. As shown below, Venus was located directly in front of our Sun on June 6, and hence was not visible then by the naked eye.
Two days later on June 8, Venus was still too close to the glare of our Sun to be visible from Earth. Four days later on June 10, 2012, Venus had moved a bit further away from the Sun, and finally became visible on Earth to the naked eye, just before sunrise.
The artist cleverly emphasized a difference between "invisible" and "visible" phases of Venus through his use of crop tramlines. On the sixth and seventh days of Venus "invisibility", namely June 8 or 9, each "sunfish" motif was drawn just below a crop tramline.
Then on the eighth day of "invisibility", namely June 10, a third "sunfish" motif was drawn just above a crop tramline. Such field symbolism implies that Venus is about to become visible above the eastern horizon on June 10, as a thin crescent just before sunrise.
Here we can see Venus appear as a "small disc shape" close to superior conjunction. Then it grows slowly as an evening star for 250 days, until it reaches a "large crescent shape" near the Sun. Next it shows a brief period of eight days, close to inferior conjunction, when it remains completely black or "invisible" next to the Sun. Finally it rises as a morning star, again a "large crescent shape", and remains visible for another 236 days until another superior conjunction is reached.

Crop circles have confounded farmers and scientists alike since they were
first recorded in the 17th century, and now physicist Professor Richard
Taylor says the phenomenon is growing alongside advances in technology.

The complexity of modern patterns, which can involve up to 2,000 individual
and elaborately arranged shapes, suggest that clandestine groups of hoaxers
must use sophisticated methods to complete their projects in a single night.

GPS systems enables the artists to cover vast spaces with absolute precision,
while microwaves can be used to flatten large numbers of stalks at great
speeds, it was claimed.

An analysis of evidence in the Physics World journal reported that researchers
had used magnetrons – tubes which use electricity and magnetism to generate
intense heat – to mimic the physical changes in flattened stalks in some circles,
which are linked to radiation.

Prof Taylor, director of the Materials Science Institute at the University of Oregon,
said the findings suggest that crop circle artists may be using magnetrons, found
in microwave ovens, or similar technology to complete their detailed patterns in
the space of a few hours.

Traditionally planks of wood known as "stompers" and lengths of rope have been
used to make accurate patterns in fields, with designers even using bar stools to
hop from one flattened section to another.

Other theories of how the patterns appeared over the centuries include freak wind
patterns, rolling hedgehogs, copulating couples and, in a 1678 report, the actions
of a "mowing devil".

More recently, conspiracy theorists have linked the patterns to UFOs or other alien
activity, though some hoaxers have admitted to deliberately imitating flying saucer "nests".

More than 10,000 examples have been documented in the past 500 years, with one
new pattern now appearing somewhere in the world every summer evening.

Prof Taylor said: “Crop-circle artists are not going to give up their secrets easily.
This summer, unknown artists will venture into the countryside close to your homes
and carry out their craft, safe in the knowledge that they are continuing the legacy of
the most science-oriented art movement in history.”

Matin Durrani, Editor of Physics World, said: “It may seem odd for a physicist such as
Taylor to be studying crop circles, but then he is merely trying to act like any good
scientist – examining the evidence for the design and construction of crop circles
without getting carried away by the sideshow of UFOs, hoaxes and aliens.”

On August 11th 1996 a snowflake formation appeared in the field at Oliver's Castle,
near Devizes, England. The video claims to record the construction of this
formation. In the film, four small white spheres (resembling the disks of light filmed
several times within and about crop circles) maneuver around a field as the crop
pattern forms beneath them. We wanted, perhaps more than most, to believe the
video is exactly what it seems.

The film is remarkable, very exciting to view, is inconclusive in it's analysis and is,
of course, shrouded in controversy. Unfortunately it is also shrouded in distortions.
Several reports have been aired over the internet and in crop circle publications
which are simply incorrect. People who were present for the first showing
remember details differently.

Conclusions based on technical merit cannot be made unless the original is released
for testing and unfortunately, there are too many con men trying to derail the
phenomenon to take things at face value without a probing investigation. In
addition, the video shown the day the formation arrived is claimed to differ
significantly from the video which is now in circulation and undergoing attempts at analysis.

Incredible footage has emerged of a mysterious pair of white lights seen hovering
perilously close to to the Chilean volcano eruption.

Volcano Calbuco, which has laid dormant for more than 40 years, suddenly erupted on
Wednesday causing a thick plume of ash to cloud the sky while thousands of people
living in its shadow were forced to flee the 'apocalypse-like' event.

Hundreds filmed the eruption, near the southern port city of Puerto Montt, Chile, and its
deadly ash cloud which caused all nearby flights to be grounded for safety.

But one amateur cameraman was surprised to see what appeared to be white lights
close to the enormous plume of ash and smoke rising from the mouth of the volcano.

can prove it, says Australian boffin.

AN Aussie historian believes he has buried forever the ‘cereal’ lie that crop circles
are the work of hoaxers – by unearthing Black Country images of them dating back
to 1945 and beyond.It’s ‘barley’ believable, but Greg Jefferys has also uncovered
evidence of the phenomenon in scientific documents dating back to 1880.The
boffin, from Hobart, Tasmania, says his findings prove there’s more to the
mysterious circles than hoaxers playing silly tricks.

“This discovery proves that claims by various artists to be the sole creators of crop
circles are themselves a hoax,” he says.

“It just goes to show that the circles remain unexplained.

“I hope this discovery will stimulate renewed interest in crop circles by serious
scientific researchers who have been fooled by the hoax claims.”

Greg, aged 59, who cut his teeth locating shipwrecks, used Google Earth’s new
1945 overlay – images of places taken 68 years ago – to make the breakthrough.
He spent more than 300 hours scouring the English countryside using the
technology – and found a large number of crop circles.

Two of the most significant were on the outskirts of Stourbridge.

“Searching the old images presented many challenges,” Greg told the Sunday
Mercury. “Some of the original photographs had physical and chemical damage that
produced circular flaws on the Google images.

“I had to develop a methodology to distinguish between flaws on the film and genuine crop circles.”

Greg began his quest after reading an article in an 1800 edition of science journal
Nature.It suggested that crop circles had, in fact, been around since the 1700s.
And Stourbridge, believed to be a paranormal hotbed, was an obvious area to
search.

In 2010 the town, once famed for glass-making, made headlines when a BBC
journalist filmed a strange, orange orb in the skies over Wollaston.But crop circles
were not the only thing Greg uncovered while scrutinising the old aerial photographs.

“I also found a number of circular prehistoric structures similar to ‘Woodhenge’ – a
timber, Neolithic monument close to Stonehenge,” he says. “But these were outside
the Midlands.

“The aerial photographs from 1945 are particularly useful for finding prehistoric
remains because they were taken at a time before farmers began the extensive use
of heavy machinery in their fields, which disturbs the soil to a deeper level than
previous farming methods.”

But there is one question Greg’s laborious research has failed to answer: if crop
circles are not a hoax, what are they?

He has an idea of how to unravel this mystery.

“Firstly, I believe that the claims of various ‘artists’ to have created them all is patently false,” he says.

“That is itself probably one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated on the scientific
community, and I think that my 1945 Google Earth work does this.

“Secondly, there is a significant body of evidence that indicates high frequency
electromagnetic energy is involved in the creation of crop circles.

“What is not clear is what generates that energy and organises it into circular
patterns. This is one of the questions I hope to answer, at least partially.”

Those who have previously made a study of the strange symmetrical shapes – Reg
Presley, former lead singer of 60s band The Troggs among them – already have
their own theories as to how they are created.They say that they are a warning
about the perils of plundering our planet’s resources, not just two blokes with a
plank and piece of rope.In a blog, expert Freddy Silva explains: “Crop circles are
organised harmonic forms that manifest around the world, the result of an energy
interacting with the physical world – in this case plants. This energy is comprised of
light, sound and magnetism.”

That’s one in the eye for the Ministry of Defence who, up to 1990, blamed all crop
circles on two pensioners named Doug and Dave.The theory was debunked when
the structures, which some claim have healing qualities, appeared as far afield as
California and Western Australia.In fact, they have been spotted in 29 countries,
created out of wheat, barley, linseed, rice paddies and even ice.

Doug and Dave only had bus passes.

And cynics still cannot explain what happened at Stonehenge on July 7, 1996.
At 4.15pm an RAF pilot reported nothing unusual below. Just 15 minutes later, a
second airman reported a 900ft formation, comprising 149 circles aligned along a
spiral curve.The media may have lost interest in them, but crop circles are still out
there. Last year provided a bumper harvest, with 18 recorded in August alone.
Reg, the country’s best known circle investigator, believes the striking agricultural
artworks are messages from space.

Twenty years ago, he shocked the world by revealing: “A 200 foot long penis
turned up in a crop formation just by Chequers.

“Everybody laughed – so did I.

“But one week after that appeared near the Prime Minister’s home, we discovered
that the American male had lost half of his sperm count.

“Two months after that it came out that we’re losing it over here, too.

“I don’t believe that crop formation was a hoax. I think somebody was trying to tell
us something.

“It’s all so bloody weird.”

Crop Circles Are No Hoax, Concludes Historian After Studying Google Earth's New 1945 Overlay
Crop circles dating back to 1945 are proof the phenomenon is no modern hoax, a Tasmanian
historian claims.The mystery of the increasingly intricate patterns was supposedly solved after
several high-profile cases were revealed to be the work of artists and mischief-makers armed
with barrels, planks of wood and plenty of spare time.

Credit for the hoaxes has been laid largely at the feet of pranksters Dave Chorley and Doug
Bower, who in 1991 announced they had been pulling the wool over people's eyes since 1978.

He points out the shadow on its south east perimeter corresponds precisely with the shadows
cast by the trees and hedges and that the quality of the image is high enough to show there

"Where Did the Towers Go" shows that the twin towers were disappeared using
an energy weapon. One of the peculiarities of the 9/11 aftermath was the
presence of iron micro-spheres. These are tiny spheres of pure iron found in
the dust, which, if the official story is true should not be there. Iron micro-
spheres of about the same size have also been discovered in the ground by
scientists where crop circles have formed. Is it possible there is a link between
the creation of unexplained crop circles and the energy weapon used to destroy
the world trade centre? Further evidence also points to a possible link between
the 9/11 weapon and crop circle formation. Could this link be provide a long
awaited explanation for many of the non planked (sometimes called non man made)
crop circles?

So why is John Lundberg not arrested for confessing to criminal damage ? He has
just confessed on radio and to be fair he has been confessing to criminal damage
and trespass since the 1990's. Something is not right about this !!

When the modern crop circle phenomenon became noticed by the public in the
1980's it caused controversy. Doug & Dave did their first circle in 1978 and have
been doing them until early 1990's. Then lots of copy cat hoaxers are supposed to
have done all the rest since. There has been no doubt they were doing some of
them over the years and is what Rich .D Hall was exposing in his vid in #6 . So we
pretty good suspicions some groups were sponsored by intel agencies to create
crop art , and there numerous reports of black and military helicopters flying over
them. There are military bases near by but that not account for the mil presence
over fresh sites monitoring for real circles.

John Lundbergs Team Satan and other groups took up the job as its not easy to
plan and drive out to a field and start 'stomping' they had to be designed and
transport and labour provided even if the enjoyed doing it and it was a hobby and
they got a kick out of hoaxing people for coming up to 40 years.

So all the circles this year will be made by John Lundberg and his friends & various
groups of hoaxers and sponsored 'proffessionals' like Team Satan.....

I find it very hard to believe.... and why ? just for the crack.

It could be a psyop ? not sure for what purpose ? to create a phenomenon only to
debunk it. They have done this in other theatre like politics , false flags, terror etc,
but unless it was part of a blue beam event I'm not sure.

Its more likely to me part of a dis info plan to hide the fact from the general public
that some of the circles are made by unknown creators ( or known) and they have
been muddying the waters since it was picked up by the media in the 1980's. That's
where I am at the moment on the subject....

So all these hoaxers are criminals for trespass and crop damage,and they make
them over night as darkness hours decrease and are never seen or caught by
farmers and crop circle watchers over all this time......

How many appear?

Around 250 crop designs around the world appear each year on average. Figures
vary slightly from year to year, up and down. Several thousand have been
documented since records began.

This US show employs the talents of a London based team of circlemakers
to create a demonstration circle in New Zealand.

In this interview he says that they only do it , to make people believe they are
created by ET's. Then he talks about supernatural incidents and he is not a died in
the wool skeptic. Something does not feel right about these groups. He says they

friends have made them all. This interview is really winding me up ...LOL .He
contradicts himself all the way thru the interview imo and he says he is still not
a sceptic and is interested in the super natural.

'Swastika crop circle' appears in British countryside (VIDEO)

A 180ft-wide crop circle cut in a Nazi swastika-like design has mysteriously
appeared in a field in Wiltshire, southwest England, sparking conspiracy theorists
(unsurprisingly) to speculate about alien involvement.


Since the 1960s, the phenomena have been cited by some conspiracists as
evidence of the existence of extraterrestrials, but sightings of the irregular crop
patterns date back to as early as the 1600s.

The farmer who tends to the field in Beckhampton, near Avery, said he was
shocked to discover the formation which had appeared overnight, saying he had not
made it and had not given anyone else permission to.

Local megalithic researcher Hugh Newman said he rushed to the site to capture
footage of the crop circle after seeing a Facebook post about it.

“[The farmer] didn’t say much to me but he was a bit concerned by the symbol and
he saw the negative connotation of it when he realised what it looked like,”
Newman told the Daily Mail.But he says the symbol appears to be the positive icon
used in ancient Buddhism and Hinduism, which was used 5,000 years before Adolf
Hitler adopted it as the Nazi insignia.Since the 1930s and 40s, the symbol has
become synonymous with anti-Semitism and far-right extremism. However, in
ancient Sanskrit, the ‘svastika’ symbolises well-being.It was adopted by some
Western countries in the early 20th century as a symbol of good luck, but with the
arms reversed and tipped to a 45-degree angle.The difference between the two
symbols is that the ancient symbol has dots in the gaps between the lines and has
round edges, compared to the blunt edges used in the Nazi design.Newman
said: “You get heaps of hoaxers going around and doing crop circles without
anyone’s permission and if they get caught they can be prosecuted for it."

“But some of the circles they cut are so advanced and difficult to do that it is
actually land art.”Crop circles are believed to be created using string and wooden
planks which people stand on to break and bend the crops.It is not the first time
crop circles have appeared overnight in Wiltshire. Over the past year, there have
been at least three reported instances of the phenomena resembling astrological
designs popping up.Wiltshire is home to Stonehenge, a circle of intricately balanced
stones which has stood on the hills surrounding Amesbury for thousands of years.
Its original purpose still baffles experts.
