    Hi everyone, Iīm new here

I just had to post now because of the synchronicity...I have just had a very stern face to face talk with my cat - Romeo - about peeing just outside his litterbox. He has started doing this almost daily.

I think his message is he wants more cuddles. The problem is, I donīt really want to cuddle him. He usually aproaches me when Iīve put the kids to bed, which is my ME time....Oh, I supposeI will just have to soften up. I get the feeling he is here to help me open my heart.

But if anyone has a suggestion on how to get him to stop, let me know! My stern talks dont seem to be working.

P.S I love this thread. Glad synchronicity made me overcome my shyness so I could say "Hello"

    Hi Swan,

Glad you overcame your shyness as well

I know exactly what you're saying.
We have two cats and two kids. When we used to have the kids in bed, I felt like exhaling and taking time for ME... Then the cats would come up to me and start trying to get my attention. Arrghhhh... Nooooo not nowww I want some peace and quiet...
But my heart was closed too.
Now my heart has opened a little bit and I have learned to go with it some more. The cats come to me and I just let them... I'll give them some attention and you know what? When I gave up my resistance... It felt great. Bonding with our cats has done me good.
Sometimes I feel like the cats don't come for getting attention, but they're coming to give ME some peace and harmony.

Oh, Swan, welcome!!! I noticed you've been reading awhile, and was wondering when you'd say something... so happy you decided to join in.

About Romeo, have you ever worked with flower essences? They work so well with animals, working with emotional issues that cause negative behavior.

    Some resources:

Molly Sheehan's Green Hope Farm in Meriden, New Hampshire. Molly makes a set of essences just for animals. She works with nature spirits and angelic presences to grow the flowers and make the essences. She is a remarkable person. She has some good articles explaining vibrational healing and how FE's work.
    http://www.greenhopeessences.com/aboutghf.html

And Perelandra Nature Center. Powerful essences co-created with nature spirits.
    www.perelandra-ltd.com/

Also you can find Bach in health food stores, and you can google to find loads of resources for them.

There are many essence makers, just google.

Oh, I can't forget FES, a California-based essence maker, Patricia Kaminski and Richard Katz are the essence makers. They have a great book listing descriptions of their essences, but you might find them somewhere on line too.
    www.flowersociety.org/bio.htm

And my friend Christine Tolf who makes Lichenwood Essences. She was my teacher in New Hampshire. She lists descriptions of her essences on her website. Sometimes I just have a read there, it feels healing to be connected to her.
    http://www.lichenwood.com/

Have you tried talking to Romeo, acknowledging him, asking him what the problem is, etc? Even if you don't know what he's saying, you could likely get some feedback using your intuition. And at the least, he'd feel your concern for him and that would be a good thing.

    Love,
    JB

    Hi wakytweaky

Yes, Iīm sure you are right.
I had a previous disagreement with Romeo about sleeping in our bedroom. My view was a definate NO. But, he didnīt give up. Every night, in the early hours of the morning he would be scratching at the door. After about a year ( yes i am stubborn..) I gave in. Because it suddenly occured to me that maybe he wanted to sleep with us to help us relax. And, I realized I found it very comforting to wake up and feel his soft fur on my bare feet.

So i learnt that lesson. Now time to learn this one.

Awesome video, but I like bats better than cats. The bad guys won here, IMO. I like cats also but pissing on my stuff too many times has made me question how much I like them.
Cats don't do that, unless it is someone who doesn't like them.
And I'm not saying that you always disliked them.
But maybe you lived with someone who drooled over them so much, in such an exaggerated manner,
that this sent you in an opposite direction, as a balancing act.
Maybe I'm off the mark here, but I know cats hate to do their business inside the living quarters, so when they do it is to communicate a message.
I just wanted to re-post that awesome cat clip .. no but seriously Ulli you are 100% right. We only had one friend who didn't like scooter. When she'd come by they'd give each other dirty looks, and by the time she left - something of hers was pissed on if he could get at it. only ever her, ever. in 16 years - never pissed on anything in the house but her stuff when she visited ... it became a bit of fun for us all - after she learned to leave her stuff in the car when visiting
When you are one step ahead of the crowd, you are a genius.
Two steps ahead, and you are deemed a crackpot.

    Ok Swan,

I asked my girlfriend to make telepathic contact with him (she thinks it's a him).
It is indeed what you expected.
A cat is an animal that can transfer negative energies and he wants you to transfer them with him. He wants you to just sit down with him, take him on your lap and let all that is to feel in you arise... let it come to the surface and let it pass like a stream of water (that's how she said it).
It will help you to get in touch with your feelings more and get rid of negativity.

My girlfriend says it is a cat with an old soul and he can be cross if he doesn't get his way. He has a very warm personality is that correct?
Every time you feel bad, just take the cat and give him a good hug. He wants you to do it and he helps you to get over it.

    edit to add:

You're cat is clearly a male I just read your first post again. It's just that i talked about you to my mate at the diner table and she didn't read your post. voila!

    The Cat

In 1970 I was fulfilling my Alternate Service obligation to the Government by working as a Child Care Counselor at a residential treatment center for pre-teens in Ukiah, CA. During that time, I was renting a small cabin about 5 miles outside of town for my days off. It was situated near a vineyard that backed into rolling hills, and the nearest neighbors were about a mile away. I had inherited it from another counselor who had burned out emotionally after two years at the center, and had returned to his home in the mid-west somewhere to recuperate.

Along with the cabin I had unwittingly gained a small, non-descript cat who wandered around the premises spreading cat hairs. Chronically allergic to cats, I tried to avoid this character, but he was apparently oblivious to my health issues and persisted in his shedding. Eventually, I felt that I needed to take more decisive action. As he was nonchalantly lounging on a widow sill one sunny morning, I scooped him up and carried him out to my car. Discerning my intent he offered a mild protest, but my resolve was firm, and I would not be dissuaded from my chosen course.

I drove four or five miles up into the hills to release the little fellow into the next phase of his earthly destiny, reasoning that he was semi-wild and independent anyway, and would likely adapt without much effort to his new environment. The hills were stocked with abundant rodent life, and he had already demonstrated his skills in that regard by occasionally depositing mice cadavers at the cabin’s front door. Without much ado I bid him good luck and happy hunting and then drove off, forgetting that things are not always what they seem to be.

The cabin itself possessed an odd quality, as if it was simultaneously appearing in this as well as some other, invisible realm. Not only the cabin, but the surrounding hills themselves seemed to evoke a subtle mix of mysterious intuitions at a subconscious level that I had difficulty accessing. Initially I ignored these whispers, speculating that perhaps they were just the lingering vibrations from an ancient Indian encampment in the area. I had recently begun practicing Zen meditation, and attributed these perceptions to the mere play of mind. Sometimes we can be rather naïve in our assumptions. One day I was to find out just how much.

It was a beautiful early afternoon in Autumn. Northern Californians called this time Indian Summer and, although I never knew the derivation, it seemed like an appropriate designation for this lovely season. I felt like a hike into the hills behind the cabin that day, and started off along a deer path that wound lazily up through the oaks and manzanita shrubs that thrived on the hillsides above the vineyard. Curiously, as I passed by certain random trees I felt a strange sense of apprehension just below the surface of awareness. It felt as if they were somehow conscious players in a spell that was being woven around me!

I had spent a good deal of time in the woods, and in fact had lived as a hermit for six months in the Sierras during the previous year, but I had never felt anything like this before. As I proceeded further into the hills, I began to sense an ambiguity about my orientation and, to my growing dismay, eventually realized that I was lost. I had been wandering around in circles for over an hour, and had no idea now how to continue. I found a rock outcropping to sit and ponder the situation, but as I took my seat I noticed a group of large buzzards directly overhead and was instantly aware that they were keen on some sort of rapidly approaching death.

My hair literally stood on end as a series of violent shivers churned through me, and without further thought I jumped up and began to run! It didn’t matter where – I just had to move, and I let my body take me on whatever course it would. Time played havoc in my mounting panic, and it was nearly dark when I finally – gratefully – reached my cabin, slammed the door behind me, and exhaled. Whatever that was, I believed that I had left it behind in the hills.

I was mistaken. A deafening series of clashing cymbal-like sounds, accompanied by blinding lights and shrieking howls, started encircling the cabin – slowly and methodically at first, but soon accelerating into a dizzying rush that threatened to sweep the cabin itself into a tornado whirlwind and whisk it from its foundations into the open maw of chaos and catastrophe! The walls began to vibrate fiercely, and then something told me: “Here it comes!”

Suddenly it was dead quiet. Too quiet. I now realized to my mounting horror that I was no longer alone in the cabin. Some kind of dark and menacing force was materializing in the corner across from me. A pitch-black shadow was growing before my startled eyes, blotting out the faint light from the window and creeping across the ceiling, walls, and floor towards me. I stood paralyzed in fear as my eyes darted helplessly in search of some escape. Suddenly spotting an opening, I raced towards the hallway leading to my bedroom before it too was swallowed up in the oncoming shadow. Slamming the door, I dove like a child under the bed and waited there, shivering uncontrollably.

Suddenly sensing movement to my side, I inadvertently banged my head on a bed board in startled shock before realizing that the creature next to me was the cat! The cat! Somehow, over the course of several weeks since I had dropped him off in the hills, he had managed to find his way back to the cabin, slip in through an open window, and was now calmly stretching and yawning next to me! I was incredulous – so much so that I had even momentarily forgotten the terror that was now pressing ominously against my bedroom door.

With feline grace the cat then stood up and padded in a most regal and dignified manner to the edge of the door that stood between us and the relentless psychic pressure being applied from the other side. Pausing there, he then tilted his head back and let out the most piercing cat screech I had ever heard! The echo of his shout seemed to reverberate through the whole valley, and then there was complete silence. I listened for any sign of the horror that had invaded the house, but heard nothing. Crawling out from under the bed, I proceeded carefully to the door and, opening it gingerly, found no evidence of anything amiss. The cat scampered into the living room and pounced up onto the couch and resumed his relaxed pose, as if nothing extraordinary had just transpired.

After looking around to inspect the place, I peeled off my urine-soaked pants and headed into the bathroom for a long shower. When I had dried myself off, I went to the kitchen cabinet and found some herbal tea. I brewed a cup and then joined the cat on the couch. He climbed into my lap, meowed, and together we kept vigil until dawn.

As the brilliant morning sun streamed through the windows, I was engulfed in a mood of deep peace. Outside, a family of deer was grazing near the window, and the valley was filling with gorgeous birdsong.

Since that night, I have never been troubled by allergies to cats, although I do pay more attention to where I am going when walking in the woods.

    Dear Bob,

I withdrew my question over in *that* thread, it was SUCH a bad idea! And I hope I haven't opened the Village to an influx of rigid indoctrinaire, ugh.

    So I ask you here:

Well, once I met Mazie, everything that had gone before took on the quality of a vague, rather uninteresting dream. On the other hand, after our reunion, what happened next seemed beyond the capacity of any narrative prose to truly convey.
After your reunion? <sitting down next to Bob, passing a pitcher of beer to wet his whistle> Yeah?

<trotting back to page 800 to catch up on the village news ... >

BTW, I read *somewhere* cats are for balancing. They balance your energy. When McKnao was still alive, he worked so hard with me on clearing old garbage. I'd sit there sobbing, and McKnao would be on my foot, not taking his eyes off me.

Synchronistically enough, Abob, I was about to comment on how felines can provide unsurpassed protection from dark spirits, and will "eat" evil entities just as they might an insect. I have witnessed this first hand, myself.

We just watched this movie last night. I commented that the writers must have been slipped some inside info at the time (which is not unusual, since the film industry has often been used to pass on bits of disclosure).
Quite right. But what makes me suspicious now is how come this movie is on your mind as well as Rahkyt's all on the same day?
Telepathy between you two would be the most acceptable explanation, but what if some third party is using you as guinea pigs without your consent? ok, I'll dismiss that thought.
Don't dismiss it! Bob, Fred and I were discussing something very similar to that in the Ear Tones thread, particularly considering the aspect of synchronicities that seem to be very conscious in the way they appear almost as if they are a part of a conversation that your conscious mind is unaware that is happening. In answer to questions you did not know you'd asked. The deeper consciousness that seems to be answering us may go by many names or it may be part of something else! I've read indications from some who believe that synchronicities can be created by ultra-dimensional entities in order to convince people to go down a certain path or make certain choices. The same thing has been said about repetitive #s and Ear Tones as well.

While I do know that ultra-dimensional parasites exist I'm not sure how far down that paranoid path I'm willing to go. To distrust my own most intimate senses after a lifetime of honing them and clearing away extraneous detritus is not to trust self, in the end, or the signals one's higher intelligence might be sending the conscious mind.

The Celestine Prophecy has been popping up a lot lately. Me and my daughter were talking about it the other day, then, cleaning up a cabinet I came across the DVD, thinking I should watch it again soon. Now I come to the Village and there it is again. So... going to watch it now.
And how was your viewing of the movie, Samsara? Did you see anything new?

    Hi Rahkyt, wishing you well!

...and that 'convincing' has become unnecessary in my life in front of me in the past 5 1/2 years in a constant upgrade rhythm...cuz that's all I do : ) And I will be spiritually bold enough to add that it is now happening all around us all around in unprecedented 'higher' ways and means deliveries...the more we live lovingly-accordingly to it the more, more, more will be here to help us help ourselves here on Mother Earth, now!

Quote As the brilliant morning sun streamed through the windows, I was engulfed in a mood of deep peace. Outside, a family of deer was grazing near the window, and the valley was filling with gorgeous birdsong.

Since that night, I have never been troubled by allergies to cats, although I do pay more attention to where I am going when walking in the woods.
Bob! Was that story for true?!?! You are such a wonderful storyteller it doesn't even matter. WOW.

Modwiz, I've never had a cat piss on my stuff but when I was much younger and a soldier in Deutschland, I had a German girlfriend with 3 cats. All male in an apartment the size of a good kitchen. I had a wonderful, Turkish leather jacket that I had actually traveled to Turkey to get (Ok, the quality wasn't the best but for a young, poor soldier it was very cool. It even had shoulder pads! It was the late 80s) that I left laying on the bed one day. I came back later that night to find it practically torn to shreds. I don't think that cat liked me at all.

To prove it's not a species thing though, my Sira had 3 cats when we first moved in together, 2 of them wild and free and their mother, who was the most sociable. The other two would hide in basements and behind furniture and only come out at night. The mother eventually would sit on my lap during meditation, purring and vibrating like a fire-engine. Eventually, the other two would allow me to pet them, although one of them it took about 6 months. Now we only have one of the cats, the mother disappeared outside, the 6 month cat would only come around for food and he eventually disappeared also. Now we just have the mama's boy, who is having a wonderful summer so far now that he's out of the house and his hiding spots in the crawl space of the attic.

Ok, here are more garden pictures, as requested:

Here are the privet I trimmed up and lashed to the posts, for the red malabar "spinach" that should be sprouting shortly, and a little further back, between the posts, I have a place for ground cherry.

Here is a better shot of the soon to be famous Tomato Chair.

Here we have recently planted star of david okra, middle right we have blue jade corn and green lentils, and in the background is the Three Sisters Mega-Mound.

And finally a close up of the Mega-Mound, which is about three feet across, on the outside of the moat surrounding.

Hi there, ES! Ditto! Did you know there are people out there who never experience synchronicities? I know because a few of them have looked at me strangely and told me so. Others have written me after reading something I've posted on my blogs and elsewhere. Not everyone is experiencing these upgrades in the same manner.

I attribute much of this to conscious choice. The choice to ignore the extra-sensory stuff and instead to channel this energy coming in from the cosmos into mundane emotivity and intellectualism. I find it is possible to do that. When the mind is focused upon past and future and engaged in all of the distractions that keep discursiveness a constant, running stream of thought, you miss the synchronicities, you can't see them because your thoughts are too busy to give your subtle attention the space to notice them as they occur. And so the excess energy of the times is spent reinforcing mental and emotional patterns, overworking the hypothalamus, deepening and widening the synapses leading between all of the disfunctional memories and ideas that have built up over a lifetime.

But that's ok because all is well.

Everybody is doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing, like you! And sooo many on this thread! Awakening, eyes widening, looking around in wonder as the heart and soul open up like lotus petals seeking the light of distant suns!

No problem, Ulli, just going down memory lane. This is another of the movies I saw when I was 5 or 6, living in California in the early 70s. I've got a whole list of 'em and don't understand how my parents let me sit in front of the television like that watching this stuff. It's definitely to blame for why I am the way I am now.

Then I becomes clear that they did the right thing.
Yup. I grew up with benign neglect as well, great for fostering freedom and creativity ...

    Here, Hear Rahkyt : )

...and the more we do what we do purely and selflessly from the heart the more everybodies will see and feel the light...the light we shine together from Mother Earth OPENS the 'channel of allowance' oh so wide for the Higher Light to come on in and help as never ever before here and now : )
...imho, it IS what lets the 'Higher' open up to help in an unprecedented flow of wonderment!
