British banking was originally largely founded by Quaker men (Barclays, Lloyds), as a means of storing extra funds generated from their businesses that they did not immediately want to use philanthropically.

Things have gone seriously wrong. Long gone are the Quaker principles. The banks are now the sole means of generating financial gain, rather than just a place to store it. Casinos was a very apt term Tony Robinson used.

I like Tony Robinsons work and he is a straight talking workingman even if most of his work has been done on Televison
he is still down to earth. I've watched alot of his work in 'Black adder' and Time team and other documentries ...
He is passionate and what he said was genuininly from the heart and I totally agree with him....

I will say he did a documentry on Dan Browns The Davinci Code to see if any of it was based in fact....
Least to say with all his experiance with mainstream archaelogy he was not as open
minded as I would have liked him to be in conspiricy theories. Though he is a
good advacate of the working man ...Cheers steve...
