Helicopters meeting UFOs over Hollywood July 8, 2012 ~ a new UFO video on Youtube uploaded Jul 9, 2012, by youtube user WeDreamWeLiveWeLove, shows three lights comming in from the distance and seem to stop not so far away from the people filming it. Then, after a moment, you start hearing helicopters closing in and then you actually see these helicopters investigating the UFOs, specially the closest UFO. This is a very intriguing video that I think is genuine footage. I don´t see anything in this video, that points to a fake. This is just some innocent people enjoying the sudden surprise in the sky. This video is quite dramatic with helicopters investigating UFOs over Hollywood.

Ok so my first thought was Chinese Lanterns. But that doesn't explain why the one moves so much faster than the other two. I don't know , IF they are chinese lanterns, how the first 2 can lag behind so much and the 3rd moves forward at a much faster pace. The do appear like the lanterns, but the movement ????? Anybody else??? I am on the fence with this one. Oh, and it is HOLLYWOOD, so someone could be filming a movie or something. There are LOTS of ppl with money in that area that own helicopters, not just the military and police.

That certainly is unexplainable with the old "it was flares" question. I just wish we could see one close enough to see parts and details. That was a good one.

I flew with Air Support (L.A.P.D) for several years all around L.A. and vicinity many years ago and most likely the helicopters in the video were L.A.P.D. Whether or not the one seen, which appears close to the subject in question was actually observing the object is open to question. I would say no. If the helicopter were actually circling the object, as it appears in the video, there would no doubt be other videos, from better, closer angles photographing the event. I have seen nothing of the kind.

On a clear night like that (somewhat rare in L.A.) you can see aircraft of all types on approach to various airports in and around the L.A. basin. And when on a course approaching the point of view look very much like what is seen in the video. No, I'm not a UFO skeptic -- just a pilot and observer with years of experience commenting on what was filmed.

I have seen, as many of you, much stranger objects in the sky that truly defy explanation. These, in my opinion, were not them.

Why I think this is not chinese lanterns is because, a paper lantern would be blown away by the turbulence from the helicopter. With a helicopter right beside it and it still hovering steady as it was nailed to an unvisible wall up there, baffles me...

I guess the only practical explanation beyond it being a UFO is that they are coming out with a lot of law enforcement drone aircraft. That is the only other thing it could be.

I'm right in Hollywood and I saw this. There are always helicopters in the air and I didn't recognize the one that investigated the light. I wish they kept filming, because when I saw it, the light was there for about a minute and then it disappeared and the helicopter kind of hung out for a while. They may have been confused, but i wouldn't know.
