I've had many powerful synchronicities in my life. To me they became proof that there is a God...
I mean, to have something set up that is so vast and yet that can still be so intimately connected to my thoughts and interests
had to have had a designer.

If I lose my keys and search for hours,
yet the moment I recite this little prayer (which has remained with me since my Baha'i days)
    I find them within minutes.
The power of faith- of connecting to higher power.....

Just discovered another syncro: I hadn't seen this vid before. I just googled 'Remover of Difficulties' and 'Bab', and this video came up.
And as I was watching it I saw that it was made in Muenster, Germany, thirty miles south of where I was born.
And yet when I was there in the nineties there were no Bahais within hundreds of miles.
    Tears....

laperle, it took no time at all to find that quote...I go back to it often when I need to center myself.

Hopefully, someday I will no longer need the reminder and will truly "Know" I am...looking forward to that day.

Nora, in case you missed it, I have a cat (I think!) which is amazing, never thought I'd have one. Here is a picture of her (Emily) today... we were going out to the deck to take a picture of the rainbow. Unusual light in the sky, especially in the northwest.

I hope you take it easy, remember to breathe, as Rahkyt reminded me.

    You are too funny, Dan.
You were supposed to comment on Marianne's new cat, not her toes.

By the way, my toe shape is Egyptian, in case you care to know.
No pictures until I've had my pedicure.

yes....an on and of button, linked to the level of adrenaline in our body's. When the level is too high, directly activated state of 'I am'.
    Handy in cases of stress.

    Seriously,
I sometimes let fear grow by the thought that I can not find this method back, or another state which I've had during meditation, channelling of healing . But it's just the fear which I create with my thoughts, afraid to fail etc. etc...... I have anchored several 'states' of these feelings, like light beacons. So letting in this light, and knowing this is my key to release the fear and let the trust in the all knowing love and creativity grow, gives me (forever ) the path 'back'.

Waky, you made me laugh ...

Yes, indeed, WCBD, an amazing story. It touched me; thanks so much for sharing.

Dan, Greek feet, eh? I hadn't heard that before, just thought my foot was malformed!

But that was a deja vu moment there ... I was looking at Emily's face, her long nose that looks rather Egyptian ... thinking of Egyptian feet, and it reminded me of another place and time.

I think Emily was my cat sometime before ... maybe not ancient Egypt (or maybe) but sometime before.

Thanks Dan, for your lovely post. You are a blessing.

    Love,
    JB

Thank you @dan33, for pointing me out that my feet are Roman.
Before this image, I always thought that they were designed to swim without flippers. But once in a while, I also have to walk with them.
My feet aren't that big, but the width are compensating everything.
When I try to find a nice comfortable pear of elegant shoes, I often have to look at the mens' department.
Hmmmmm....High heels are not easy to find over there

When I lived in Holland, it wasn't a very big problem. But I moved to another country, and here the shoes are much more narrow.
So my quest for a good pair of NICE ELEGANT looking pair of shoes often diessssssss.......
But...I have a nice character (that's what I'm trying to convince my partner

So @ulli, I totally agree with you. It's a bit of a delicate issue. And no pictures allowed, unless external help is available.

Fear is the one thing I do not recall ever having. It would have been good to have a little fear when I confronted a police officer who was giving a friend of mine a hard time recently. When it was over, everyone kept saying I was lucky he didn't shoot me...the thought never even entered my mind.

Insecurity...well, that's been a struggle. Early childhood messages of never being enough of anything (good enough, smart enough, pretty enough...the list goes on and on) pop up every so often.

I do seem to have made some kind of breakthrough lately, tho'...it just doesn't matter to me anymore.

I never thought of it that way.

These messages go as far back as I remember...and I remember clearly things that happened when I was two and a half years old.

Sad to say, my focus was on myself...I was not smart...I was not clever...I was not talented...I was not pretty....and I believed it. No action taken. It was what it was and I accepted it.

That's why children are extra vulnerable. They don't have reference points with which to make sound judgements.
Once they reach adulthood, however, they can start seeing other options.
That's when the real inner work begins...
how to forgive one's parents for their mistakes, or even crimes, in many cases.

My take on, "What is fear?" It’s the duality game of Love vs. fear.

For me, Love is All. Fear is when an expectation of or for someone or something is not met. There’s an illusion that one is not complete so s/he must replete outside self. Fear is the trickster illusion.

One continues to place controls, uses fix-its, assigns ultimatums, all attempts for it to be something other than it is. Some thing that one is unwilling/unaware/unable to accept in the Now experience.

Anger, disappointment, judgement, bravado, intimidation, rage, sadness, depression, disappointment, perfection, etc., all these are cover ups for something or someone one can’t have or get.
Endless, pointless suffering... until one awakens to the trickster illusion.

A question Belle, isn't insecurity based on fear?

I never thought of it that way.

These messages go as far back as I remember...and I remember clearly things that happened when I was two and a half years old.

Sad to say, my focus was on myself...I was not smart...I was not clever...I was not talented...I was not pretty....and I believed it. No action taken. It was what it was and I accepted it.
That's why children are extra vulnerable. They don't have reference points with which to make sound judgements.
Once they reach adulthood, however, they can start seeing other options.
That's when the real inner work begins...
how to forgive one's parents for their mistakes, or even crimes, in many cases.
    You're absolutely right, Ulli.

My Mom had been a professional singer and dancer until she became pregnant with me.

As an adult, I now understand she blamed me for ruining her career...taking it away from her. She referred to me as her little ugly duckling...still does on occasion...., and laughed at me when I would sing or dance, telling me how ridiculous I was for even trying. She was amazed at every good grade I made in school...they must be grading on a curve or some such thing.

Thank God for my Dad, who kept me curious and thinking and questioning everything. He was a long distance truck driver, and was gone a lot. But when he was home, he provided the love and attention the child me needed. I don't think my Mom ever had it in her.

I'm in the high desert watching an awesome sunset.
Some of the most beautiful daybreaks and sunsets I have
Ever experienced were in the high desert in the SouthWest.

No, it's not a dry heat either especially during monsoon season.
I'm not sure who thought that one up.

Looking forward to being back on the mountain in the forest...
I miss White Tail and his sister.

Had a dream last night from my dream maker.... looks like I'm going to
have to break my silence even if it is in a PM.

    Love

    Nora

    Hi Belle,

One can therefore now stop trying to satisfy their mother's eyes or get her approval and be afraid of her comments or rejection and start accepting that perceived imperfections are in fact absolute perfection. Love is the foremost gift to oneself.

I explain: I personnally learn a lot from my 15 years old. Once, she had a real epiphany in which she realised how perfect the other side is, the other side of the veil. When she stopped crying after her amazing epiphany, she told me that she would not want to be in the other side, because being in such a perfect place and being so perfect was absolutely beautiful but also absolutely dull. She came back happy to be "imperfect", it made her living experience interesting.

I must mention that my daughter, who wrote so beautifully to Nora's niece, was borned with partial aphasia, muscular coordination problems, and ADD, and still has learning difficulties for which she has to work 3 times as much as others to be an B student. We worked so much together on improvement that her handicaps are now light. She has develop skills not much people have. She knows precisely what she is talking about when she talks of being lucky to be imperfect. Welcome to the club Belle.

What an amazing insights for a 15 year old Flash...

It makes me think of the quotes: "I've send you nothing but angels" and "blessings in disguise"
My rheumatoid-arthritis in the knee helped me to learn a lot about myself too. so I have now a love-dislike relationship with it.

    ----------

    Ulli...

You seem to know a lot about dreams and the symbols in them.
Since I started with learning about astral travel... I dream a lot about planes. I know you wrote something about that somewhere back in the thread, but I can't find it now.
These planes are always crashing down near where I am in that dream, or I am in one that is crashing down.
The funny thing is.... Always when I had such a dream, I wake up with significantly more 'feeling connected' to my life and the people around me.
    Like I am more grounded.
    Any ideas?

She is also lucky to have you as her mother.
The thing with handicaps and imperfections is that everyone has them, only some are more visible than others.
For example, professional models. I've known a few and some are really sweet and despite their success and earning $1000 an hour are convinced they are ugly, because they know their flaws.

Then there are those who leave a trail of broken hearts behind because they have no compassion for others, and play games with people.
Their handicap is the absence of a good character, and in my opinion the only true handicap one can have.
