Solar activity and dreams - now that's an interesting connection. As far as I know there is no proven link between human behaviour of any kind and solar activity (OK, in the summer people do more stuff out doors, but that's not solar activity), but perhaps even this far into the 21st century no one has actually LOOKED for a link.

I'm sceptical that solar flares would affect concious human (or animal) behaviour. Surely the police, medical/psychiatric and military would have noticed by now.

Assuming we're talking about effects detectable at ground level, i.e. very subtle geomagnetic changes, maybe these changes could be manifested in different dream patterns. My dreams have been more vivid of late, but I suspect that's more to do with the warm summer nights and very early dawns.

Nevertheless, the effects of increased solar activity on the subconscious is thought-provoking...

Absolutely, Christinedream7! I have been having those flashes for quite a while but they are getting more frequent as of late. It's like I fall into a quick trance; my eyes lose thier focus, my vision goes...somewhere.... and I feel like I'm moving through a vortex....just in a matter of seconds then it's gone.

    Micro-stokes at 49? Nahhh......

@ Rahkyt: I agree...it is something that I have a really hard time visualizing...I have sworn that one of these days I'm gonna buy me a world globe with the solar system accessories (like in science class) so I can try to figure the wobble out (and polar shift thing, now).

That cannot happen in the manner you describe according to earth-sun geometry. Solstices and Equinoxes are determined by the time it takes the Earth to circumambulate the Sun not by of the tilt of the Earth. The day would remain the same. Manhattanhenge would occur on the same day, the sun would just be farther to the south or north as it moves from east to west. Everything you said about the seasons is true, but not about the date. The days would be shorter or longer as the equator would be either farther north or farther south, depending upon which direction the new tilt occurred, but the date itself would remain the same.
    Nop!

Check it out again, with a globe if needed.

A tilt of the rotation axis would change the sun inclination and, with that, would change the spots where the sun rises and set for the same date.

That would be equivalent to changing "season" for a particular latitude at a specific date.

A change of the sun inclination automatically changes where it rises and sets and "Manhattanhenge" would occur on a different date than the one computed with the current conditions... according to earth-sun geometry.

Actually on summer hormones goes wild, people get more in love, and feeling the hype. I have grandma by the sea here and i've seen that effect zillion of times.
now with effect on dreams... I never told that sun can affect dream even its obvious that moon and sun can do that and can involve with sleeping too, but i rather told that same unversal wave that affects sun must be affecting consciousness and maybe even dreams. Sun didn't go wild by itself, it shurely needs some frequency, changing position or whatever effect that does that. Same effect does changes in us too and i feel that alot same as my girlfriend companion.
Hartbeats and feeling of somekind of wave going through body are here for shure and i didnt experienced that for 33 years till now...

yet maybe im just too old so thats effect of years and old bones:D
It stumbles my mind that my girlfriend feels the same thing, same as her mother and few other people i talk to.. That's how i connected two and two and gave it meaning of somekind of different frequency wave passing through our solar system..
In that scheme i can add numerous things to that happening, from dreams to awakening people to heartbeats to fast achieving affirmations and on and on..

Yes, that wobbly feeling has happened to me too three or four times during the summer. Completely new thing to me.

I get waves through my body, but I think I know what your talking about, like the earth drops a few feet or tips a few degrees but you're the only one who noticed?

I have been having waves through my body for a few years now, but recently the frequency and intensity has vastly increased - many times per day now.

Here is how I would describe it -- sort of like the "tingles" but it will be more vibratory - very high frequency and slight "electrical" sensation. I have been observing them enough to know it is not the same as the "tingles". I feel that if I get the sensation strong enough, I will be able to levitate. It seems to have a "lightening" effect for me.

If you have ever lost consciousness, you may recall that as your consciousness merged back again with your physical body a sort of timeshift or pitchshift happens as your ethereal "ears" adjust to the electrical pulses from you body. This is the same type of effect if your arm goes numb; while your arm is regaining its connection to your nervous system, it takes a little while for all the frequencies to sync up, and the effect is like the "tingles" - except very strong. My point is these sensations and effects occur when a synchronization of frequencies is happening between your conscious self and your body.

My theory is that these sensations, or mildly electrical waves that come over the body is indication of frequency alignment. I see this as a natural result of the vibrational shift the planet is going through - we need to adapt on an individual level as well. For me, these waves bring something exciting, they are empowering and when my thoughts are on grand considerations of high frequency - these are triggered far more often. If I am remotely feeling down or negative - these sensations will not occur at all.

Edit: And to add, the intensity of these sensations increases during CME collisions with Earth. To use another way to describe it ... if anyone has ever done MDMA, the feeling of "waves" through the body that that produces is extremely similar. So it's a bit like getting high without the drugs!

I have noticed the change also. There are a few people around southern Indiana that have also had dizziness, upset stomachs and just a feeling of "something is off" in their bodies. My personal opinion is the sun and earth changes.

I don't need to and there's actually nothing more that I can say, as I've explained it as clearly as possible. Anyone who wants to check for themselves, google anything about if the axis were tilted more, would the solstice or equinox change. The answer is no. That means, that anything else that occurs on earth on the same days each year would not change either.

If a polar shift occured the lat/long grid would be measured from where ever the new rotational axis would be. So the former grid location would still display the equinox and solstice data the same as the earth that used to occupy that point. The new positions of places relative to the grid and the rotational axis would now have new angles and times (not days) of solstice but the equinoxes would stay the same. The relative equinox angles around the globe are the same. The spread of the solstice angles changes with latitude.

Another variable would be to consider that the axial tilt of the earth relative to the rotational pole might not be the same after such an occurrence. The pole could shift and change the axial angle relative to the sun. Then it would screw up the solstice/equinox dates big time. If the tilt were large enough you may not be able to measure these events at all. Many speculate that the earth would behave like a wobbling top and eventually slow down into a regular rotation. It is possible that the same rotational axis would still be there after such an occurrence. The earth could spin sideways etc.

I think Amerzo is coming from a place where the axial tilt of the earth would change with the change in the pole. Rahkyt is coming from a place where the pole would shift and the axial tilt would stay the same. I would agree with Rahkyt that the dates of these events would not change as long as the year stayed the same relative to orbit size and the earth were to rotate at the same rate it does now.

I have had that very thing happen, one time. I was out on my deck just after dark, and like you said, all I can describe it as was a wave of energy, came down and "stilled" me for a few minutes. I had forgotten about it until i read your post. I don't have a clue what it was.

For one thing ... Trying to set up a "manhattenhenge" phenomenon for my 3D animation ... I found that it doesn't occur on the same day every year ... (messing up my math ... the more I look into it, the more variations and different types of wobbles I find ... This is seriously complex stuff, lol)

Quote The dates of Manhattanhenge usually occur around May 28 and July 12 or July 13 – spaced evenly around summer solstice. In 2011, Manhattanhenge occurred on May 31 at 8:17 p.m., and on July 12 (full sun) and 13 (half sun), both at 8:25 p.m.[1][2] In 2012, it occurred on Tuesday, May 29 at 8:17 p.m. and Thursday, July 12 at 8:25 p.m. (half sun), and on Wednesday, May 30 at 8:16 p.m. and Wednesday, July 11 at 8:24 p.m. (full sun). From What I can picture in my head you're 100% right -- the shadows would just be longer or shorter depending on where you are. It depends on what type of change in "tilt" or "axis" we are talking about though too - there are many possibilities.

The issue is about Manhattanhenge to be checked on a globe if needed and which is conveniently omitted from the answer and instead replaced by the straw man of the equinoxes not changing and extrapolating to nothing else on earth would change, which is not quite correct nor accurate save for the timing between these solstices and equinoxes given a no change in the speed of earth revolution around the sun.

Except for a specific case I touch on in post # 91 , any other direction of tilting would shift the area of the sky (Zodiac) in which the equinoxes and solstices would occur afterwards.

However, even in that particular case, a change in the earth tilt generates a corresponding change in the sun inclination and, with it, a change of locations for where the sun rises and sets on the horizon (see post # 103) and Manhattanhenge would miss its date in occurring later (decreased tilt) or earlier (increased tilt).

As a consequence, the length of shadows on earth would also change for a specific date compared to "un-tilted" earth at said date.

Conversely, Manhattanhenge occurring right on the dot of its computed occurrence date demonstrates that nothing has tilted, shifted or moved around as far as the North American Continent is concerned.

I am coming from the place that Manhattanhenge with its computed date of occurrence demonstrates that nothing has tilted, shifted or moved around contrary to what some people may think and attempt to spread around as fact.

Any change in tilt, crustal slip or unaccounted for wobble would create a mismatch between Manhattanhenge computed and actual occurrence date. Not so, as of yet.

    Very simple and un-complicated.

This year and next year the sun is at maximum power, afther that it will come down. Is a natural process, and with that the weather change. The last 200 years was a warm weather, in advance, afther 2013 the cold weather will come againg and we will enjoy a new small ice age. In 2050 - 2060 we will have the lower sun and we will be able to make sky in the mediterranian coast again...

As stated in post #28 and #61, if the pole/axis of rotation/whatever has shifted so much that there are people who claim they can see the difference using their NAKED EYES, how come this hasn't been confirmed by amateur astronomers? Anywhere...?

Surely it's inconceivable that such a change could be 'covered up' by TPTB.

    C'mon now...

No matter how many times you say the above it's not going to be true.

Hardly any of the above in your post that I have not quoted is factual, either. I think I originally mentioned the shadow shifting aspect, which you have now agreed with.

Quote That's an interesting video, WF, has been out for a while now. The climatological conditions they are referring to actually do point to an axial shift. The axis of the earth is tilted at 23 and 1/2 degrees generally, but it is known that is just an approximation. It ranges a few degrees over time. The kinds of changes they are speaking of have occurred within recent years, which implies a much quicker and more extreme shift.

Since axial shift affects the vertical position of the planet, how it would express itself on a sun dial would be to make the shadow longer in the northern hemisphere and shorter in the southern, and vice versa, depending upon the time of the year. It would not effect the horizontal positioning of the shadow at all, which might make it more difficult to notice unless very precise measurements of the shadow's length at particular times of day would have to be made and then compared to the shadow's length in years previous.
You have shifted your argument from your first point with which we began our discussion:

Had any significant tilt of the Earth's axis occurred and "Manhattanhenge" (see post # 42 above) would have missed its date and happened on a different day (setting earlier or later since the true latitude would have changed).
The above is all we have been discussing. That was your original point. Which was wrong. It would not have happened on a different day given the conditions and earth-sun geometry as stated in the above posts by myself, Cartomancer and DeDukshyn unless other conditions were met, specifically having to do with the orbit of earth around the sun or a change in the earth's rotation on its axis, becoming faster or slower.

I personally don't know if the earth has shifted, but I do know that it is possible and I have discussed how it is possible and what would occur. That is the extent of my knowledge.
