Default Have you experienced a miracle?

I am asking everyone to share an experience they have had where the universe spoke to or touched them in a profound way.
It could be an exchange with another person, nature, another life form or just by yourself.

    Miracle:
an extraordinary and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore attributed to a divine agency
    (http://oxforddictionaries.com/defini...nglish/miracle)

Times like this remind us in no uncertain terms that we are not alone in this universe.

I was very reluctant whether I should start this thread but I did in the hope that some beautiful stories would be shared, so here are two significant moments that happened to me over the last 4 ½ years, both times were during an outpouring of gratitude.

About 4 ½ years ago I was living on the Gold Coast in Queensland, life was going very well and I was very happy.

One night I went out on the veranda and reflected on how well everything was going with my life, I wanted to say thank you to the universe so I closed my eyes and opened my heart allowing it to flow with an outpouring of gratitude, at that moment I connected and was overwhelmed as tears ran down my face.
After a short while I looked up and at the exact moment I opened my eyes I saw a Shooting Star right in front of me.

Around two years ago near the Blue Mountains in New South Wales I was again reflecting on my life as I stood watching the afternoon sky, the same events happened as before, this time when I opened my eyes there was a beautiful Rainbow right in front of me which lasted probably less than half a minute.

    Hello my friend,

We´re living in a giant ball floating on the universe, perfectly and harmonically revolving around a much bigger burning ball! How crazy is this?

How about a small seed that may stay years sleeping until, suddenly, it starts to grow and become a huge tree?

How about us? Science is far from understanding how and why life started on this planet. Even our human origins are a still mystery to science.

Everything that has life is a little miracle, even the smallest insect, that doesn´t even have a brain, but still can perform such amazing things, like bees which build incredibly complex hives and produce honey, or a caterpillar which somehow becomes a butterfly.

Life itself may be considered a miracle. I don´t know who did it but something or someone did. Even if life is just the consequence of highly unlikely probabilities and random chaos, it´s still a miracle following the dictionary definition.

Your happiness is just the consequence of realizing how nice it is to be alive and be part of it all.

    Cheers,

    Raf.

A Spiritual Awakening in 2010 was IMO a miracle/divine intervention from the universe for me. Police Officers don't usually wake up, they remain asleep, a rare occurrence indeed.

I've performed several weddings, mostly in the afternoon. What I've done is magical in nature, and hence short and sweet, at least on the last few occasions. One of those was on the night of Samhain in 2011, and it was after a group ritual my family had participated in. When I brought my wand down on the hands of the couple being joined together, there was a gasp from those who had gathered to the side to witness the event, two of those being my wife and daughter. As my hand made the motion, as I brought the wand down, a shooting star had traced it's point across the sky. True story, and I've got loads of them. Stuff like this happens all the time if only we paid better attention, inside and out.

Ditto WhiteFeather, that's why at times I'll notice a deep sleeper around me, and think "If it can happen to me, then it can happen to you".

So anyway, yeah, I made an energetic contact with the spirit of this planet a year or so ago. It lasted for around 15 extremely intense minutes, until it just became unbearable and I had to force myself to break it off. It was like being grabbed by electricity, and took every bit of my will to do this. It was so overwhelmingy powerful, that I couldn't help but weep for the rest of the day. I still do whenever I really think about it, it comes right back.

    Every day is a miracle!
The greatest miracle was my re union with my soul 2007.
I was about to end my life, I had only one last thing to trye before I was ready to leav.
After many years of great pain and no sleep and lots of pain killers I was at this point.
So grasping for the last straw to try a treatment that in it self scared, me I decided I had nothing to loose.

At the third time it happened the man was massaging my but and electisity came trough my body I was rotating abow my self I saw my self trough his eyes and I saw the room from my body I was at 3 different places at the same time.

I was in total blizz, it lasted a long time !

About 24 h later I was feeling strange I was feeling real ill and had to get up. Every poor on my body opened and the svett was poring from me.
The world was made of dotts in different collors and I was sure that I was about to die.

I asked Jorr to give me a glass with water with sugar in it, he did and I sat on the chair looking at him and thanking for the years we had, still sure that I was about to die.

Well I didnt and the comming months I was just in a state of bliss and my legs was so heavy... no pain.
I did jurnys trough my life all hapenings came from another angle.
I was different but couldnt get wat was hapening to me, I didnt know what to say to anyone anymore.
The planet have given you all that you have !
What do you give in return ?

Be the change you wish to see.

A bit of physiological/psychological danger (mental positioning for the purpose of rumination) comes on the heels of, or within the recognition of the words 'scientific laws'.

Laws are enforced norms in sociological conditions (group expectations, bellcurves, ideas on normal, etc), and science has only theories, it has no laws.

Everyone who reads this should afterward never think, use, or propose the words 'scientific laws', ever again, and when seeing or catching someone doing so, correct them.

Otherwise, we will be captured into dead ends in science as science must change to discover the new..and any form of permanence or law, applied to scientific exploration, will drag mankind off course and into scientific religion, not scientific advancement.

    This is VERY VERY CRITICAL.

Science is all theory, there is literally, in the world of philosophy and thinking, as tied to science..there are NO FACTS. There never were!!!

Fact is a word that is illiterate and has no real depth of meaning, of any kind, except to a mentality which lives in world of negativity, fears, and religion as a buffer against/for those fears.

A scientist calls a thing a 'working theory', not a fact. Fact is one of humanity's more horrifically subliminal misnomers, one that belongs in the trash-bin.

I will clarify that I'm not attempting to interfere in the thread's intent or directions.

That the idea of a miracle can be re-examined in the face of what science, scientific methodology, theory, human advancement and what reality actually IS (as an evolution in vantage point) , as opposed to what it is imagined to be, by the given individual (in the given moment).

Define the fields, define the intent, define the direction, and so on. There are no rules, except that as exposed by or as dogma, or whatever the given person wishes to have reality be.

The best that can be done, one might say..is to meander one's way toward some sort of evolving internal truth, as provided by the drive to get there. Or not!

I live in a rural area, so it is not unusual to see wildlife. Often when I ask for confirmations, animals find their way onto the property.

On July, 2010, I asked for confirmation that I made the right life’s decisions. Less than an hour later there was a 100% white crow caw-cawing right back at three squawking birds, in my pine tree just 50 feet away.

And again early morning, in September, 2010, I had a pressing question/confirmation, and tossed it out. Several hours later, there was a 100% black deer, right in the middle of a country road. He was waiting for his buddy to cross the pasture while my dog, Wolfie, and I were out for a walk.

In both cases, I was not aware until I researched that there are 100% white crows and black deers. For me, they serve to demonstrate the element of synchronicity, (again).

    Peace,
    WhiteCrowBlackDeer

I feared for my young daughters life one night about ten years ago, i prayed that night with indescribable fear and desperation, beautiful black hands to forearms appeared protectively above her head, they had colourful bands on them ,were neither male nor female and i would describe them as Divine, they were outlined by a platinum light. These hands remained for a prolonged time as i turned away and back again to check if they remained- they did and she is well.

He said to me: "there are no miracles....Only unrealised events."

I have realised the truth he has told me.

Miracles happen frequently to many of us, if not all, do we recognise them when they occur? I have had many experiences when I need the help the most, what I needed was made avaliable to me at that time, this has happen so many times, it maybe a miracle or a part of the larger picture of the way nature and the universe works.

I attended a fabulous life changing 3 day event on Orcas Island in 1999 called the Long Dance and then a month later we all came together again (about 49 people) just to connect and reflect on where we were at in our lives etc. and we did a meditation where we called on the 3 Fates (Uhrd, Verdandi, and Skuld – might not be spelled right) and I remember telling them/Great Spirit/All That Is, that if I was put in a situation where I had to move again (I had moved several times recently, all in the same general area) that I was going to take that as a sign/indication that I could move back to the east side of the state to be closer to certain friends and family members. It would be a big move but all I was looking for was a little nudge. The very next day I got that sign. My young daughter and I had been living on/caretaking some property for a woman who used the place as her getaway. Beautiful place right on the bluff overlooking the water down below and an awesome view of the evening sunset. Anyway, she called me over to talk to her the next day after I returned to inform me that she had relatives coming to live there and would no longer need me to stay and take care of the place and gave me 2 weeks to move. Not only that, but I asked her for a pretty hefty amount of money to accommodate my need to find a place to live so suddenly and, to my surprise, she actually gave it to me. And it absolutely was the move I needed to make at the time. I think there is such a thing as being miracle minded. In other words, I think you can draw to you what may seem to others more than the usual amount of the seemingly impossible. When I have more time I’ll share one more story of what I mean by the seemingly impossible. Great idea for a topic.

This is a great topic but gosh, I don't know what to call a miracle anymore. The impossible and astonishing or just reasonable as Carmody is suggesting.
Too many remarkable healings and Spirit interventions and my reaction to them as miraculous. But I can explain them all away and lose the value.
They have the effect that they have primarily because they are out of context.
Paraphrasing Jesus, a miracle is a moment in time when reality is revealed. I guess that's how I feel. Like the purpose is the event. Something causes a crack in
our perception that allows it to happen. Or if it's time or if it's useful.
Minds deciding to heal? That's out of character. Not getting on a bus that crashes. Is that intuition? Or a voice that shouted loud enough to be heard.
    Instructions in your head?

I had a friend who drove her car 'through' a jack-knifed semi-trailer on the freeway. She had another friend with her and they both told the story.
You would not doubt these people. The 'purpose' of that 'miracle' was very clear to them. Or it became clear. They were both pretty buzzy for a while.

I think miracles are raining on us all the time and once in a while one 'miraculously' finds a crack in our thinking.
We associate with this level of experience as if it were on the top and it isn't. It's on the bottom.
An experience of the proper order of perception will effect an ordering in every thought after that experience.
That's as much of a miracle as any.

I think if the science of mind is the science that's referred to explain them it can be done, but it will be harder to qualify the science than to explain the event.

I'm thinking that I'm not giving my sovereignty to some dogmatic idea of a god showing me a miracle, or giving me a miraculous moment or outcome.

The idea that there is me, the lowly one, and there is the great spirit, or whatever ...as a separation.

I'm stepping up to the plate and taking it all on, that it is all on me.

That I'm moving toward and into it.

To become the understanding and be intertwined with it. Directly, actively, purposely, to move, to be as.

And THAT, as a point of clarity as to what actually 'is'.....is the critical turning point.

To me we are in the miracle, constantly
and continuously, we are in the unfolding.

To define a moment, would be deny that it even exists
as its not separate from us, we are it and it is us.

    Or something like that,
The greatest privilege of a human life is to become a
midwife to the awakening of the Soul in another person.”
    ~ Plato
