Question what is your '3D' job/career? and will these 'jobs' things change in the near future?

    I'm just curious..

    1) What is your '3D' job/career, or business?

    2) How do you feel now/lately about your 'worldly/earthly 3D' job/career/business?
do you often feel that it's already aligned with your Soul Purpose?
or, if you're like me, still feeling stuck & trapped by it everyday, because since you're still trapped in this greedy, corrupt 'System' ?

    3) Do you have any future plans?
and last but not least, will these whole 'jobs' things CHANGE in the near future?
and we, the 'awakened' ones will certainly gain the first 'advantage' (for lack of better words/terms)?

the core reason I'm posting this is because I just turned 30 yrs old last Sunday,
but unfortunately I'm feeling like I'm such a big LOSER in the eyes of my 'practical/worldly-3D' traditional chinese parents, who only expects & wants a big money-and-status for my future, job/career (my BIG talent & passion in Music has unfortunately been disregarded as "not gonna make any money, so stop dreaming, and get REAL please!").

I'm also quite a bipolar, ADD/ADHD, a "multi-talented jack of all trades, but alas unfortunately master of None" , because my core passion (especially in these recent times) have been a "Constant Learner" (and/or a Truth-seeker, a Spiritualist, & the "Grand Explorer"!),..and always wishing I could have a REAL Job in those,...but alas still can't in this current mainstream society/world/system I'm currently in..!

    Please share.
and what to DO, for my case?...
    thank you~

Thank you for this post Niki,
My 3D job/career is an Accounting Manager for an Air Conditioning company. My job is at times very stressful and certainly not what I want to be doing. I am drawn to nature and hopefully will transition soon to a more fulfilling job or business. I am very interested in community, sustainability, permaculture, and overall I really want to be of service to others in some way. I dont care about status and/or
career anymore as it does nothing but limit me. Im working on moving into a small town, away from the city so I can start growing my own food and being close to nature. Its difficult to find work doing what I love without having any training or experience in that field but I will not give up !
Unfortunately, our well intentioned parents do tend to push their agendas and well wishing path for us but I know this is unfair. Now that I am 44, I realize this and try my best to support my children (22 & 25) in their true desires.
I hope the best for you and your true desires to manifest, I wish I had some advice on how to do it to give, but alas Im still trying to figure this out myself.
I think we just have to focus on our heart's desire and act on them for ourselves and pray that our parents/loved ones will just understand and be happy for us.

    Blessings,
    Annette

    Congrats!

I've been in many different jobs and either my bosses didn't get along with me or I felt like I had to move on after some time. I did try many different jobs. My focus then was essentially on helping humanity to become and I always got opportunities to help with that and I always had enough to live, but I've been rather 'poor' if you will. I somehow despised money, but I'm on a good way of getting over that. Not too long ago I've put my focus on becoming financially independent to be able to create more and to have more freedom of choice. I find this exercise by good ol' Inelia pretty helpful in that regard.

Now I steer determinedly towards being self-employed with translations, editing and past-life-regressions and I'm open for whatever opportunities come my way. I actually like that a lot. Got there through my own effort, haven't studied translations, got in contact with an author (Michael Jaco, 'The Intuitive Warrior'), started the work and he appreciates my attitude and work. Now I have a foothold in the business. I love books and reading and in general I hope to continue to work with such amazing people. I'm pretty confident that I will - with a balanced approach of thinking things through and trusting my intuition.

The way I understand it, the energy of intention is indeed all-powerful. Through holding something resolutely within focus and also acting upon it, grasping opportunities when they come and determinedly doing the work, things manifest. The ball is in our court, let us create and manifest beautiful things, a new paradigm! That's what is happening anyways, so weigh in. It's our choice, whether we listen to complainers or if we just go ahead and do our thing.

    Hey Niki,

I´m an Industrial Designer. I have my own company/studio.

How do I feel about it? You know, I feel so lazy nowadays that I really don´t want to work.

Laziness...They brainwashed us to think laziness is a bad thing, while, in fact, its just our instincts saying that we´re doing things that we actually don´t want to do.

I just want to play saxophone all days long, play with my dogs, read books, watch movies, paint, have fun with my friends...These sort of things.

Fortunately, for me, most people nowadays just hire me for consultation, so I just have to speak, give my opinion and convince my clients that I´m right about all sorts of design and marketing related things.

It ends up that I´m right most of the times and my talking improves their businesses somehow.

Anyway, in my opinion, people are brainwashed to think they "love" their jobs, while, in fact, nobody likes working.

If working was good, people wouldn´t dream about retirement.

Honestly, if I could stop working right now and fully dedicate myself to learn all sorts of things, I wouldn´t think twice.

Just follow your intuition, my friend. Learn to live with less, so you don´t have to work much to have a decent life.

Working for others to earn money is a complete scam. I´m sure about that...They pay you for your time, while in fact there´s no way to quantify the value of your time, since time is one of the rare few things that you actually can´t buy no matter how much money you have...

So, there can´t be any fair working relationship, since no amount of money is enough to buy a single wasted second of your life. Explain this to your parents, or at least try.

This world is weird mate...Sometimes all in all looks like some kind of psychedelically surrealistic dream; or nightmare.

    Cheers,

    Raf.

    Hi Niki,

I'm 20-years further down the line and have some specific advice, all of which comes from the mistakes I've made.
    • Stay out of debt. Do not buy anything unless you can pay cash for it, including cars and houses.
    • Do what makes you happy. Do not stay in a job unless you feel happy.
    • Don't worry about money. If you do what you love the money will be there.
    • Lead your life to please yourself, not your family. Let them know that you love them but that your life is yours to live.
    • Never stay in an abusive job because you need the money.

I'm not from a Chinese family but have many friends who are and know that the expectation can be extreme. I have friends who quite literally have their entire lifes planned out for them, from where they go to school to who they will marry. Ultimately, though it will be extremeley difficult for you, you will have to disappoint your family.

However, always remember, do what makes you happy and the rest will fall into place.

    Hi Niki,

I am an artist and mom. I will be 40 very soon and have never had a full-time 9-5 job (except for 2 months in summer when I was at university)...my soul wouldn't allow it. But I've done everything from cleaning to important community development projects. Now I've never had a lot of money, but I 've had heaps of learning, fun and adventure. I believe that the most important thing is to follow your heart. I know that if I had listened to my parents and lived my life to please them and those they think are important, my soul would be soooo stale and depressed....it just couldn't have happened...I didn't come here to play someone else's game. I feel right now, more than ever before, it is time to live our lives, by inner guidance. We are programmed to look outside of ourselves for direction, but I have found that the more I let go of worrying about how others percieve me, the happier I am. I realise now that if anyone judges me, it represents their own issues, and has absolutely nothing to do with me.

    Follow your bliss

I'm working as a waiter in a restaurant. It was the easy thing to do while I was in college but I've since graduated and I'm still there, in the same restaurant, six years later. I like it because the place I work is pretty fancy and I'm a real foodie so it's nice to be able to eat food I normally wouldn't get a chance to eat, or taste wines I wouldn't normally be able to efford to buy. Plus, it's a real leveler of the ego. Making a living out of serving people their dinner and being the least important person in the room is quite humbling.

I honestly don't know what my "mission in life" is. I'm not financially motivated nor career motivated, as long as I have enough to pay the rent and have a modicum of lifestyle I'm fine.

I really enjoy growing plants, sowing seeds, making gardens, that sort of thing. I'd love to "make a living" from doing that, somehow. I'm now self studying permaculture. Maybe in the future I can make that my reality.

Default Re: what is your '3D' job/career? and will these 'jobs' things change in the near fut

Oh boy, where do I begin. Lol.

Well Niki, for starters I am a registered nurse but have been a full time stay at home mom to four kids since having my youngest just over 4 years ago. I worked in labour and delivery, as well as post partum. I enjoyed my job as a nurse immensely. I really enjoy taking care of people and teaching them breastfeeding, baby care etc., but could never accept the mind set in the hospital of getting patients out as quickly as possible. Labour and delivery units are seriously like a drive-thru for babies. After someone has their baby, they want you out of the hospital as quickly as possible, so they can use the bed for another patient. Many mothers are being discharged at a time when they still need alot of support and teaching.

Also, I find that I have changed so much in terms of my beliefs that I honestly don't know if I can return to a job that at times is so invasive and interfering. So many unnecesarry pokes and procedures, interventions that usually just end up causing the need for more medical intervention and more interference.

I also don't understand alot of the logic behind the way doctors in hospitals like to deliver babies. It is done by the doctor's clock, when the doctor wants, when it should be all about the patient. As well, without going into too much detail, there are so many interventions that doctors do at the time of delivery that in reality are only done because the doctor is in a hurry. For instance, numerous studies have been done about delayed cord clamping. It is best to wait and clamp the cord after it has finished pulsating, yet once the baby is out, doctors who are in a hurry to get to the next delivery, as soon as baby is out, clamp and cut the cord.

Without starting a debate or anything, I also do not believe in circumcision or vaccines. So, for me, it's hard to work in a field that is so interventional and at times the root cause of alot of the patients problem(s). I have thought about going into another area of nursing, but still haven't decided what area yet.

As for your situation, I feel sad for your parents. They think that money and material gain=happiness, and it does not. You need to live your life for YOU. You should work in a job that YOU enjoy, irregardless of what your parents want. You are here in this lifetime for a reason, and it's up to you to find your happiness, no one can do that for you. No one can tell you what your master plan is, only you can figure that out. This is your journey, it's all about you, not them.

My 'handle' tells what I do -- sans the 'hip' perhaps.

I have no complaints about helping others to help themselves. And getting paid for it ( most of the time ) doesn't hurt either.

Like you, except perhaps for the ADD/ADHD ( but seriously, my friend, those are just LABELS some so-called professional/expert pinned on you probably in an attempt to extract $$$ for pharmaceuticals specifically designed to address your LABELS ) I am/was a 'jack of all trades'. Master of none? Who told you that? Better yet -- who cares. I certainly don't. Perhaps you shouldn't either. Do you/did you enjoy whatever it is you did/do? Great. As far as I'm concerned you're a master! There's your new label. And no drugs for that. Except the natural high that comes with not giving a rat's tookus about what others ( yes, even your parents ) would rather you did with your life so they won't feel like LOOSERS.

Aligned with my soul purpose? The only soul ( spelled sole in this instance ) I'm aware of is on my shoes. Not sayin' there's no soul -- just sayin'.

I don't feel 'stuck or trapped' even though I agree we live in a 'corrupt system'. ( Putting it mildly. )

Future plans? I live for today. So far I'm having a fine day.

Will these 'jobs things change in the future'? Again, for me, today I'm helping others to help themselves. For ( most ) others? Probably will. There won't be any 'jobs'. Which could be a good thing.

If you feel like a LOOSER guess what? Yeah, I don't have to tell you. But I'd suggest you stop feeling like a LOOSER.

My suggestion for you would be to keep doing what your doing because no matter where you are there you go. Wait a second. I think it's no matter where you go there you are. Yeah! That's the ticket!

So let see -- that took us about 15 minutes. That'll be $25. For you -- $50. ;-))

I test and produce one of the worlds largest legal drugs.. It is consumed by most on the planet as most cannot break its grip for thier daily routine... I am also a jack of all trades and a master of my own domain... I supose it may change in the future if a financial collapse happens, most will not be able to afford thier daily fix, but I have many skills so if I choose to work past a collapse I could and if it comes down to it I could always turn to the darkside and become a black light worker...
When living in a country with free thought, you'll find many do not feel the need to think.

    Hi Niki,

Happy Birthday! Im an RN part time and mum of 3 children -full time. Im lucky enough to love my job and knew from a teenager this was the job for me. I think this job suits me as i have a nurturing nature, am interested in health, like to use my mind and like a bit of the unexpected.

So... what about you?, putting money aside- what is your nature compatable with?
    - what are you really interested in?
    - manual/mental/inside/outside/spontenaity/routine?

Any passions/talents- hey weve all got them- identify them!!

    Niki,

I am 31 now. I tried the follow my heart thing and it didn't work out for me. I wish I had a day to day 9 to 5 job doing anything at all so that I could afford things like owning a home or a trip to see another part of the world. I do not agree with the do-what-you-love advice because that saying clearly comes from a time when the economy was better. I think now it is better to do what pays, and then learn to love what you do.

    Please share.
and what to DO, for my case?...
    thank you~

My mother: "Looks like you've got all your limbs..and you're healthy, yes? Things going well? Are you happy?

Carmody: Yes, I'm all alive with all bits attached..and I'm kinda happy, as happy as I could be.

My mother: OK, Job's done then. All is good.

Meaning..my mother thinks that alive, and happy or trying to get there, is all it is about. No other expectations or ideas, beyond that. Her ideas are,"try to die after I'm dead, so I don't have to bury you. Try to be happy doing..whatever works for you. Other than that, it's all good."

Love your mother's attitude Carmody. No wonder you are such a briliant fellow, you could develop as was intended by nature. Mother's role, in my views, is to love unconditionnally and her duty is to help discover/enhance the child's natural abilities as much as possible, which could bring joy of living (but is dependent on the child's choice which is not the mother's business). Once past that, the rest is not important.

Niki, give yourself unconditional love and search to discover your natural abilities and get means to enhance them. Jack of all trade means a lot of natural abilities. Chose a few to enhance. Do as if you were your own mother, be a mother to yourself, giving you this gift. As a mother myself, allow me to give you the right to be unconditionally loved and to find ways to enhance your natural talents enough to make a living with them and live in joy.

    Love
(just saying that to you makes me feel quite good as well .... hum...)

I deliver flowers and plants to residential and commercial customers. My job is 2 blocks away from my home. I use the companies truck for deliveries. The dress code is jeans and sneakers. I also listen to rock music on my Kindle most of the day. Hey...Someone has to do it. And I don't mind. A lot less stressful than my previous Job, as a New York City Police Officer. I think I'll stay with this job for awhile perhaps.

    Hey Niki,

Congrats on hitting the big Three Zero. It truly is a time for retrospection, reflection and change if you so will it. I didn't take the time at thirty and ended up in a string of unfulfilling jobs - however, even these were valuable and the experiences have led me directly to my current career. My own worm turned a couple of years ago.

I have a problem - I freakin' passionately hate money, well, not money per se but the system of worship we as a supposedly advanced technological civilisation have built around it. I only participate in this system to the extent that I need to so as to acquire the goods and services I want or need. My wants are few and my needs not great.

In the "before time" (a couple of years back) I was married. No kids, hot younger wife, cars, house, etc. I always managed to make ends meet until I was fired from my most recent traditional job. Marriage fell apart immediately and I left. I was at a crossroads - I could reintegrate back into the mainstream and remain unfulfilled or I could follow my own path. In my early 20s I had had a couple of unusual experiences which led me to some amateur writing. It was something I loved doing, but when you're in a long term relationship with responsibilities and bills and mortgages, one does not simply go off on a tangent to follow their bliss - that is the trap which has been set for us. My time of refection and introspection came when I was headed up north in my old and rickety Toyota 4WD to do some seasonal work on Cape York. Writing was the answer. I love it - I would have plenty of downtime up there and there's no reason I couldn't get some of my material published so long as it was good enough.

It turns out it WAS good enough for a Queensland newspaper and that was all the encouragement I needed. In the three years since I have been doing this full time I've self-published four books, which provide a decent trickle income, and I have sold a documentary series based on one of those books. The future is bright. I did not take the traditional path even with the writing. It's never been about being Best-selling Author Nottelling, it's been about having the freedom to work from anywhere that has a powerpoint and a 3G wireless net connection. It's been about working when and how I want. But it's mostly been about putting my energy into something I am passionate about, rather than what someone else is passionate about. I still want, need and use money, but I have disconnected from the matrix - I exploit it, rather than it exploiting me. It's been tough, and there have been obstacles which took a lot of time, effort and thought to overcome, but I wouldn't change a thing.

I hope my story, discombobulated as it is, provides a glimmer of hope for Niki and anyone who wants to follow their bliss. That winding, circuitous route you're taking now might not be the most direct path, but it could very well be the perfect one.

Only my physical body exists in so-called 3-D. The actual me, with all of my subtle bodies exist in higher non-physical dimensions. Therefore, the experiaential, or reactive/registering "me" is not 3-d at all. I do bodywork (licensed massage therapist, certified in Medical Massage).

I work on all levels of a person because there is no separation. Remove the non 3-D aspects from the body and you have a corpse.

When I receive a massage it is very good to have a body. Cascading waves of delight from my neurons being activated. I did not tumble out of a womb into this world by making a wrong turn somewhere. It was intentional and I am about the work that needs to be done with Gaia here.

After 27 years of teaching it hit me in May, 2004, that it was time to leave. It was a huge life changing decision. By the middle June, I left the clock-world. I walked away from the security of a job and chose to live a small, fulfilled life. So the label is “retired” with a small business in my apartment. I spend most of my waking days in reflections, reading, writing, Tai Chi, walks, all the stuff that everyone else does, but I now have more time to do it.

Some skills and certification I’ve picked up along the way are Reiki, and “Lifestyle and Cooking of Macrobiotics” certification, which included Shiatsu training. And a different method of Shiatsu from my Tai Chi Master.

There’s a next coming... It’s still writing itself...
