Dawn, thanks so much for sharing. I'm guessing most here would be interested to hear as much of your experience as you are willing to share. As someone who has struggled with an undiagnosed mysterious ailment for 15 years and does most EVERYTHING correctly, I'd be extremely interested.

The causes, and the cures, for chronic illnesses (often regardless of whether standard medicine has provided a diagnosis or not) can vary ... typically something is assaulting the integrity of the body or spirit at a higher level than can be handled easily. The resolutions are two fold - strengthening the body and spirit sufficient to handle it, and/or reduce or remove the assaults. In my experience, which is just mine, various nutrients strengthened my body, and removing a tooth (an implant infecting the bone) has reduced the assaults.

Dental work, gut health and nutrition are often involved.

Paul, you are SO right! I've been following your story and I know you are aware of mine. I did all of those things and... I still was really ill. I just didn't seem to have enough life force to pull out this time, and Peru became the next step. But these things are extremely important. Just to mention the links where these are discussed for anyone who arrives on this thread and would like more info here are a couple of threads on these topics:

Conk... I can talk about my experiences within Avalon guidelines however the really deep healing did not take place in the 3D thinking, doing, and experiencing world that language was built to describe. That means that I will fail when I try to use words to talk about it. But I'll give it a small attempt... perhaps you could try to become aware of what is behind the words rather than the concrete meaning?

Day 1: After traveling all day I arrived at RefugioAltiplano just after sunset. Immediately I was invited to attend a healing ceremony that evening and was shown to ‘my’ house to freshen up. Just after dark a guard showed up to escort me to the ceremony house. There I climbed up stairs to the ceremony house. The one dim solar light barely hinted at the vaulted thatched roof that towered above the room lost in shadows. Soon 2 Indian shamans entered, along with Scott Peterson, who proceeded to give a simple talk about the ceremony in order to instill confidence in guests. Once the ceremony began I discovered that the teacher plants were able to help me in dealing with imbalances within my nervous system which had been present for my entire life. The Indian Shamans sang in beautiful clear voices for the next 4 hours. I had never been able to balance or clear these old patterns within me before, yet suddenly I had an ally who helped me. I 'saw' masses of glittering writhing energy channels and slender 'snake like' beings filled with lights winding throughout my body. Later Scott told everyone that anything a person sees is leaving their body. At the close of the group ceremony, guests were encouraged to go back to their houses. A guard escorted me through the velvet darkness filled with the sounds of the jungle to the door of my house and watched to make sure I made it inside safely. There in my house, surrounded by the gauzy mosquito netting of my bed, I lay awake until the dawn light began to brighten the sky. I was working internally to clear myself with the help of my ally. This was a day of focused spiritual work to clear old patterns.

Day 2: I slept a few hours after dawn began, until a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit and juice was delivered to my door. Then I got up to shower and dress. After a while I made my way to the community building for a more substantial breakfast and to meet fellow guests. After a day of walking, lounging in the hammocks, and swimming in the river, I was escorted back to the ceremony building after dark. This night my experience was a bit different. I experienced a great deal of fear and the adrenal glands in my body ached. I was dimly aware of old trauma patterns being awoken and cleared... releasing fear was part of this. It was not a night of fun... but it was effective.

Day3: Every 3rd day a sauna is held in the evening to cleanse the body. The sauna house is located on the banks of a clear water stream and is heated by a wood fire. Cooling off when desired was accomplished by dipping a wooden bucket on a rope into the stream and pouring the fresh water over your body... delicious!

Day4: Another ceremony was held this day and I saw many alien creatures leaving me. Many looked like spiders, with thousands of legs that sparkled with multiple lights, some looked like tiny space ships, there were many shapes and sized of other dimensional beings that were being moved out of my body. This was the night were I experienced serious purging, after which I met LaLeche (milk of the mother) tree. Other guests had their own different experiences. There are books you might be interested in where others describe their journeys in detail (more detail than I will). I didn't read any of them prior to my journey because I did not want them to influence my experience. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...uasca+journeys

I really did not have any other nights of purging, but most guests did. It seemed like my body could handle clearing things in the normal way by going to the bathroom during the rest of my stay. I saw many more rather scary looking things. One that was interesting looked like a curved wart hog tooth with fur and reeds wrapped around its base. I assume my mind was attempting to let me know that a curse was being released, as this object looked like something a shaman would make as part of a curse... but I really don't know. I do know that these things seemed to be anti-life to me and were not aligned with health and well being.

Finally on about my 6th ceremony I began to experience the jungle coming into my body. At first I was filled with insects, and once my mind stopped freaking out at the sights of insects crawling within my body, it was actually rather ecstatic. I began to realize that I was seeing the jungle from under the ground and that I was somehow energetically within its soil. After a couple of evenings of this I began to experience being birthed into the above ground world of the jungle. This was done with the aid of snakes which offered to swallow and then re-birth me. Each time a snake appeared I allowed it to swallow me... and each time I was re-birthed with fewer and fewer imbalances. This became so clear to me that if my mind started to babble I would request a snake and it would appear to swallow and re-birth me in a clear state again. This experience was like going through wormholes in space and the ‘whoosh’ of being sucked through a tube of energy (snakes body?) was amazing.

About day 9 I finally began to come out of the deep healing demands which had required me to spend the ceremonies lying down. I came into a collaboration with an energy which pulled me upwards. There was no question in my mind that I was directly experiencing a plant consciousness. I was swept upwards with the river of sap within a vine. I was suddenly aware of being in the treetops where it's highest branches reached and had a view of the jungle canopy around me. There was an unspoken question... 'what would you like to see/do now'. That night I traveled to various places I requested and for me that meant meeting with and communing with other trees and plants. That might seem like an odd choice, however many of my most precious experiences throughout my life have been when in communion with trees and/or plants.

Thanks Dawn, what a great experience you had!, wonderful for you and above all, you had healing pleasure to live in, I'm so happy for you!, and it's lovely to know that you rebirthed from the experience.

I would have loved to know the place (RefugioAltiplano) when I went to Peru in 2010, also for a ten days Shamanic Workshop in Pisaq. And as you, I had quite an experience with the energic world, I was served great lessons.

Thanks again for the link, I'll be looking, never know, may be back again in Peru.

    All the best to you.

I am deeply grateful to Stephan, my friend and healer, who went to Refugio Altiplano years before I did. He actually said to me, 'Dawn, you must kill what is trying to kill you before it succeeds because I am no longer strong enough to defeat your illness. Refugio Altiplano is the only place I know that can give you the help at a deep level that you need. If you don't go I believe you will die". Sometimes it takes the courage of a friend to speak out and expose themselves so you can follow a path they know that has worked for them.

It is my hope that someone who needs this information, as I did, will find this thread ... find their way to the help they need.

Because Refugio Altiplano uses ancient 'teacher plants' to reset the DNA and psyche of its guests, this entire discussion is on the edge of what we are allowed to discuss on Avalon. Scott Peterson feels strongly that these plants are not drugs, but powerful medicinal plants. He uses them with careful respect and the intention to help those who make the pilgrimage to see him. If you have considered using these plants, I urge you not to do so unless you are surrounded by the jungle where they grow... and are with a wise, loving, and experienced shaman.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who has commented and added to this thread for your care in not stepping over the Avalon boundaries in this discussion. I'm going to close this discussion now because I don't think anything more can be said about it. You have my endorsement, the links to find out more, and the travel information to get you there if you feel called..... Best wishes... Dawn
