The threat of attacks killing others when the target is Prince Harry was the reason given for bailing him out on his earlier posting. I would guess he really wants to be treated as any other serving officer, so he has been posted there. Personally I think they should all come home right now-- today--- and they should never have been there in the first place, but what's done is done. However if the Prince's presence is endangering others perhaps he has to come home again. He could still use his skills in some area, as his brother does in the rescue helicopters. Prince William has actually saved a few people in what is a very wild and treacherous area of the coast of the UK.

I will point out though that the insurgents in question at first said they were attacking about the video, and only included Harry in their motive later whan they realised, in a stroke of luck for them, that the base that they were attacking was the one to which Harry had been posted. So perhaps he was not the original main target.

Now that we on the subject of illegitimacy and the Royal Family, I wonder how many people here are aware of the rumours that the last two of the Queen's children are not related to Philip. After all, they don't look much like him, or like Charles and Anne. Just google Prince Andrew + Lord Porchester and Prince Andrew + Baron Patrick Plunket.

Actually Prince Andrew has still got a fairly respectable head of hair for his age, and the way his own daughters have been side-lined is interesting. I remember the Lord Porchester suggestion! However in to-day's era of DNA testing I believe that by now someone would have published some testing results if it were 'interesting'. There was an attempt to get hair from a hairbrush when Harry was at school! He is also resembling Prince Charles more and more-- look at the narrow set eyes, -and that red hair runs in the Spencer family, as well as the Royal family! Harry's colouring resembles that of his Spencer cousins. Don't forget that red hair is fairly common in the UK, especially if there is Scottish blood, which Harry has on both sides. Also Diana and Hewitt did not meet until Harry was about 2, and even then the romance didn't happen immediately.

Perhaps all the speculation about his birth, plus losing his mother so young, has made him anxious to achieve and leave an impression, and take risks. He has certainly found out how cruel life can be, even when you seem to have everything.

Thanks Elisa. What you say is certainly the "official story". However Hewitt admitted under hypnosis that he met her 4 year prior to that, before Harry was conceived. Would be nice to have a DNA test, but somehow I doubt it would be allowed. I find the whole "red hair runs in the Spencer family, and don't forget the Scots" argument to be pretty funny - he looks much more like Hewitt than like Charles, but that is not conclusive.

This story is "taboo" but still manages to surface from time to time. From no less an authority than the Daily Mail:
